**"Figgers Granddad's advice would lead me ta bonanza. Tempting, but nae whatta'm lookin' fer. Too many ta take on mah own, an if'n Lady Greenpaps ever comes backta her senses, she probably would be upset."**
With an internal sigh of resignation, Gridolpho turns and makes hos way back to the tunnel crossroad and heads back down the right-hand passage.
Down the opposite passage, the passage slopes opposite of the first. The floors gradually curve up and up while the walls turn from woven roots to solid bark. Very soon, windows appear in the walls that - strangely - did not appear visible from the outside. The view shows you are gradually rising up and around the tree itself. At the tunnel's end, about 50 feet above the ground, a door stands closed. No sound can be heard from behind it, no traps are found on the door. Upon entering, you see the world clearly from atop the great tree. Its branches grow up and out to form a broken-up wall; enough to prevent accidents, but spacious enough for a full view of the forest.
The balcony is grandiose; a haven away from, yet still connected to, the entire forest. In the center lies a garden filled with a multitude of various flora. Even the richest soil and most-experienced gardeners could not fit the quantity or variety of plants found in the 20'x20' plot. Lavish wooden furniture decorates the room, but seems melted to the floor as though the tree grew chairs and tables naturally. Among the branch-walls, alcoves can be found containing various scrolls, jars, and trinkets on display.

(There seems to be a grey area across the whole community as to the difference between Investigation and Perception. I have always read it that Perception is looking for unknown details as a whole (i.e. A broad scan) while Investigation has a target in mind that you are either trying to find (secret doors, specific traps, etc.) or trying to piece together with clues (what happened to the man? Bloodstains, signs of struggle, broken furniture). Anyone else have opinions as we continue?)
The garden has a multitude of plants ranging from mundane herbs to a few exotic varieties with magically-created climates around them. The pages, books, and scrolls on the shelves include histories, fantastic tales, and a small number of arcane texts in various languages. The jars, bowls, and displays include carvings, powders, liquids, pictures, and shining gems and stones. Some of these, along with many of the planta, are ingredients for spells and other holistic purposes. You may be able to find the diamond dust you need, but it will take some time to sift through.
Meanwhile... (Sorry, should've posted this before)
As Perrin explores the first passage, Caelynn and Perrin are led down the central passage to a wall of woven vines. The barrier parts as you approach to reveal an underground chamber (80'x80') with a high ceiling containing a massive pool (60' diameter). The water is about 4' deep at the edge and sinks to 15' at the middle before reaching a black pit at the center. In the middle of the pool, a bare-chested man floats peacefully.
The Lady approaching the pool, steps onto the water as though it were stone, and walks a few steps out before turning back, "Your presence was requested in particular due to your specific talents." The man sits up in the water and casually swims toward you. His speed is supernaturally fast, as though the water was pushing him along. He stops just before The Lady, but does not come out of the pool. "As I told you before, my husband has been ill and receiving aid. After you left, I was consulted that your assistance would help the recovery process."
Roots at several places around the room fall away and five massive crustaceans step forward. They appear to be crab-like beasts as big as Kyrthas with massive claws and writhing tendrils from what appears to be their heads. From the pit in the center of the pool, a pair of creatures emerge and poke their eyeless heads from the water. They are shaped like seals, but the size of sharks, with several tentacles protruding and razor-tooth-filled maws. Again, The Lady addresses you, "Life and Death are in endless flux in this world. One feeds the other interchangeably. They believe your connection to mind and spirit can free my husband from his plight." It is clear now that the man is pale, his skin almost transluscent, and his face carries a worn, empty look.

(The events above will have transpired just before you came into this room)
You are able to narrow down your choices of powders to 6. You just need to find the right one...
(Process of elimination, looking for a 1: 2. Upon opening a jar, you immediately realize the powder is not right. Diamon shouldn't puff into a cloud with a slight breeze...)

Seems like a far distance to yell for help. If you are able to signal for help, dashing to the rescue would take 3 rounds for everyone to get to the chamber.

And we're off with Gridolpho! Looking for that 1: 3. Damn tinted jars! Made some kind of blue powder look like diamonds. Gridolpho has a plan, what could it be? Take it away!

Water surges and roils as the center pit unleashes a gout of water. The room quickly fills waist-deep and a powerful riptide sucks the water back down. Everyone make a DC 14 STR check or be pulled 10' into the pool and knocked prone.
Chuul saves: 16, 20, 11, 14, 10
Chuul 5 is sucked into the pool, but regains it's footing in the water and charges for Perrin.
(I'll hold off on attacks until Caelynn and Perrin have taken their saves)
