Daventry perks up even more at the idea of placing orders via the Outfitters. "So, planning for a future buy... Another thing I'd love would be some armor more befitting a proper lady warrior. A breastplate, or maybe even half plate, if there is a material that could keep it light and graceful. And what do you have in terms of bucklers and round shields?"
(OOC: Mithral Half Plate, or a Breastplate +1, plus shields... Basically I want the fall designer catelogue :) )
Rivalen looks at Daventry a bit uncomfortably, "Ah, you do have fine taste indeed. What you are asking about is rather rare and hard to find.... We do not care those type of items in our typical stock but with time and resources I may be able to find some... It is rather... expensive and would require an upfront deposit..... I do have a small supply of shields... let me see." He crosses of to a different counter the first sheild he finds is a small round buckler. The front of it is a highly reflective metal adorned with an eye elegantly painted on the front. Sentinel Shield. The other is a large shield a combination of gold with fine leather straps. Shield, +1. The eye shield costs 500gp while the +1 shield is 400.

Daventry appreciates her reflection in the smaller shield. "Lovely. When I send for that platinum rapier and dagger, what name should I use for them? Who was their maker? Sadly for today I will just be interested in the silver dagger. Perhaps 110 gold as the smaller of the pair?"
Persuasion: 18, if someone wants to help you will have a better mod for sure lol
Triäsa quickly steps in, after Ludolf nudges her, and tries to see if she can get the price lower. (Although dont you usually START low and try to limit how much it goes up?)
(Persuasion: 19, if that won't budge the price, then:)
"Or would it be possible to silver one of my daggers." She draws hers out, showing the fairly plain, but decent looking weapon. "Say 140 gold to work on mine and to get her that one?"
(Persuasion: 19, she hints she'd negotiate some if necessary)
Rivalen looks at the group of you and squints his eyes trying to take measure of your resolve and need, "My dear this is the greatest magic shop in all the Sword Coast not some simple blacksmith's station. If you'd like your current 'weapons' improved then might I suggest the Outer City... I am sure there is some degenerate there who can help you."He seems a bit offended by the idea he would do such work. "As for your offer of splitting up the pair of silver weapons. I suppose I could do it though it breaks my heart and I know that I am taking a loss on this but for a future heroine, " he looks very carefully into Daventry's eyes (it's creepy) "I can give you the dagger for 100 gold. My final offer."
"If you decided on sending for the other weapons just say it's for the heroine of Candlekeep in your missive. So long as your coin is included the weapons will find their way to you."

"I apologize sir. I suppose adding silver to the weapon is beyond your abilities here. Clearly the skill in forging such fine weapons as you have lies elsewhere."
Triäsa says that all with a smile and pleasant tone. Though intended as a small dig, she tries to make it sound like praise.
Daventry nods to the terms. "You'll just have to sell the tale of the rapier's lost little sister then." She smiles, and replaces the two simple daggers loosely secured on her belt with the much more ornate silver's scabbard.
"Right." she says to her friends. "The Coast Way awaits!"
"Yes, let's be on our way. I agree with Ludolf that we should see about a wagon for our return to Candlekeep. Perhaps in the Outer City?" Triäsa looks to Daventry as the Baldur's Gate expert to see that this makes sense.
"I know we will need a couple of horses. Pardot, I think you should probably check them out. Make sure they are healthy and in good condition. I can try and help if you would like."
She then looks at the others. "Are we agreed then? Or do we just stay on foot?"
You gather your goods make your way out the main gates of Baulder's Gate with relative easy. Pushing your way through the crowds trying make their way in. It does not take too long to find a stable and wagoneer. He is fat dirty man that clearly needs gold. You are able to quickly able to haggle him down to 70 gold for a wagon and two draft horses. The wagon is a simple but functional covered wooden wagon. Two will be able to sit on a rough wooden bench and drive while three will need to sit in the back with any good or supplies. The horses are old but healthy. Pardot does not sense any major health concerns.
You know that you have about 5 days travel back to Candlekeep. I assume once you have your wagon and horses you would leave and make your way south. Is there anything you would do on the trip or at camp at night?
Daventry will sit shotgun with Pardot on the bench. She'll find a spot on the front of the wagon where her longbow can be mounted while it's stowed, and might try to use some of the time on the road to fashion a mount for it and the quiver (assuming that there are basic supplies to repair the wagon, or that we bought some before we left). She'll also take a cue from Pardot's book, and observe how the halfling interacts with the animals as he drives. (also assuming Pardot takes this role as our resident animal whisperer :D)
As the afternoon sun starts bearing down, she'll pull out a hat she acquired in the Wide the day prior: made of cloth that matches the browns in her armor, wide brimmed with one side upturned, a bright blue ribbon wrapped above the brim that is a complement to her blue shirt, with a long white feather stuck in it.
This, but with blue ribbon and white feather:
That night, she'll ask the halfling: "You mentioned you saw a star fall from the Three Sisters. Is anything different up there tonight? It's an odd coincidence, you dream of a star falling from the sky, and I dream I'm in the sky falling down."
Daventry continues, "And, well, you asked if there was a change in... me." She lifts up her arm, palm facing up, fingers steepled together. Magic flows across Daventry's chest and down her arm. A small ball of bright blue light forms in her hand, the surface of the ball flowing like a superheated plasma. She lets it roll between her fingers like a charlatan might roll a coin. She then thrusts her hand forward in a palm strike-like gesture, the ball held by her thumb, and the light focuses to a bright beam that sizzles a nearby bush. She closes her hand and the light winks out.
Triäsa would spend some time riding in the wagon and trying to read Castanamir’s Guide to Gingwatzims. She of course takes several breaks throughout the day. She would offer to help drive the cart if needed - she has a little bit of knowledge of animals. (It seems she has a little bit of knowledge of most things actually!)
At some point after Daventry breaks out her new hat, Triäsa would be sure to compliment her on it.
That first evening, once the group has settled in for the night, she approaches Ludolf. "Hey, I wanted to ask you something," she starts off slowly. She then seems to relax a bit. "I have been meaning to show you what I learned back in Candlekeep. Do you have some time? I would really like to see what you figured out with pocket dimensions too."
Presuming he agrees, she would show him the Planar Teleportation ability she learned. She says, "Watch and tell me what you see. I have only done this the one time - in Bookwyrm's office. I am really curious what happens here. Because for me, the whole world blurs and becomes jumbled and then I can see thousands of different layers of reality!" Her voice is really excited at this point. "Here goes." Suddenly she blinks out of existence only to reappear about 30 ft. away.
As they camp one night, Pardot calls Daventry over and pulls out his star map, setting it on the ground and laying it out. He points up to the sky where the Sisters are and says, "Do you see there? The hilt of the sword on the second Sister." He then points down to his star map and says, "There should be another star there, as you can see here. It fell the other night. I... I cannot explain it. Stars do not just fall."He then looks up at her, almost in the same way that he looks at the stars, and says, "You must have some connection with the stars of which I'm unaware."
Ludolf too will ride in the wagon, focusing deeply now on the tome he always seems to bring with him in his shoulder bag, studying it intently as if trying to learn new spells and rituals, leaving the driving of the wagon to others more suited to the task.
Ludolf does not need convincing to observe Triäsa using her Planar Teleportation ability, nodding approvingly of her talent. "Fascinating Triäsa, please can you share with me the knowledge needed to perform such a feat." He asks, clearly excited over what he just witnessed. "A short leap for now, but a giant leap in your search for planar travel I would say. You have already surpassed me in knowledge in this area young Triäsa." He adds encouragingly.
"Can I ask you to assist me in a ritual I am about to perform." He then says. Assuming Triäsa accepts Ludolf performs a ritual written in his old tome using a brass brazier in which he burns charcoal, incense, and herbs while chanting arcane words. After little over an hour of chanting a raven appears from the ashes, looks up at Ludolf and Triäsa with curious eyes, first flying up to perch on Triäsa's shoulder."HRM." Ludolf says and the Raven guilt-consciously flaps over to Ludolf's shoulder. "This here is Edgar, he seems to like you already, I hope he will find time to keep me company as well." Ludolf says with an embarrased smile.
Thinking a bit to himself as they talk, Pardot looks down at his map and says, half to himself at first, “You know… I can’t be 100% without checking. But I’m pretty damn sure the star that fell was one of the bright ones in the observatory of the pocket castle back in the keep we all went through. But… What could that mean?”Pardot seems a bit at a loss now. The stars, the things that he’s followed his entire life, that have always been there, are now falling from the sky. He then looks back up to Daventry and thinks to himself, “There is something special about her. She must be whom I was sent to when I followed the signs to Candlekeep.”
Triäsa gives Rivalen a big smile. "With such a generous bargain perhaps I will take none. It sounds like you have a great need for them here."
She turns back to Daventry, intersted to see how she fares obtaining a silvered dagger.
