Bookwyrm listens intently to your tale and recollection of events, "Fascinating I am not an expert on aberrations but I have never heard of such creatures. I will be quite pleased to read this tome you have found. Uncovering unique books in additions to what was asked of you is a tremendous achievement for the library. Well done indeed."He grins a toothy dragonborn grin as you see a clear appreciation in his eyes. "As for jackalweres your story does leave a few questions. These creatures typically live in servitude to another they do not do well operating independently. Also, we do not know what happened to the creatures that were here, no trace of them has been found. Also, why did they send these books to Candlekeep, we have no enemies..." He lets these questions linger for just a moment
As he speaks Matreous is finger the tomes you have brought. "There are quite remarkable books. We will need to catalogue them but just from their appearance I think they may actually be useful in some of your research." The elf pauses thoughtful though his thoughts are quickly lost as Pardot places the heart on the desk. Matreous takes a bit of a sharp breath in seeing the specimen.
"Well, now that is something you don't see everyday... I will have our anatomists look at it perhaps they can discern the type of creature it belonged to." Bookwyrm states matter of factly seemingly unperturbed by the grotesque scene.
"I do want to formally thank you for the work and danger you put yourselves in. Matreous and I have been thinking of an appropriate way to show our gratitude. We have decided to gift you Fistandia's Mansion. We had planned to close the dimension after we secured it but such wonderful resources for research that it would be terrible to waste. I believe we can trust you to use it to the fullest extent. The entrance and exit words remain the same though it is within my power to change them if you'd like." He takes a long drink from a glass full of the dark liquid. "We did have to seal off the chained library. The area is too dangerous, the books would wake up and randomly attack anyone who approaches. I believe Fistandia must have some way to bypass the spell but we can not figure it out..."He seems frustrated by the lack of progress.
"Finally, I believe Fembris has a proposition for you all. One that I fully support and hope dearly you will agree to." He smiles as he looks down at your gnomish companion. "Go ahead my dear why don't you explain."
She pulls herself up very straight trying to look tall and official, "I have been asked to form an investigative service here at Candlekeep to help solve mysteries and procure lost knowledge. We will also be responsible for the safety of the Avowed and Seekers a like. I want you all to be our founding members!"She looks to everyone hopefully,"You would get to stay here in Candlekeep as long as you want. Come and go as you please. Bookwyrm also offered to open the Inner Sanctum to you if you can prove this is a good idea. PLEASE SAY YES!!"

Ludolf listens to Bookwyrm and then to Fembris. He had had other things on his mind than books lately but the mentioning of access to the Inner Sanctum certainly got his full attention. He quickly looks at the others, smiling. "Yes, Fembris I think we all will accept that most generous offer." He says looking at the gnome.
"About the jackalweres Bookwyrm, I believe it is likely that it is that leader you spoke of then that they were planning to resurrect, and I think that it was fate alone that brought these Gingwatzim to Candlekeep. The jackalwere's plan was likely only to raise gold and it wouldn't be in their interest to draw the attention of us, which also has become evident now." Ludolf explains to The First Reader. "That leaves the question regarding the two last Gingwatzim, possibly still here in Candlekeep. Perhaps the tome can give us a clue on how to track them down." He says, looking at Triäsa.
When Daventry nudges her, Triäsa readily agrees. "Very cute! I guess love is in the air!" she says rather cheerfully, a broad smile coming to her face.
She speaks to Bookwyrm after Ludolf's introduction. "I finished reading Castanamir's book." She takes it from her pack, adding it to the others. "There are three forms the Gingwatzims can take. We have seen the object - the book - and the energy-slime forms. They can also take the form of a small animal. My guess is that is how they escaped notice. However, they come from the Ethereal Plane and need energy to survive. And they seem to only be able to drain energy in their energy-slime form. So, it is odd to me they have not resurfaced." She steps back a bit after her explanation.
When the pocket dimension is mentioned, Triäsa gets excited again. "Oh! Can we move our quarters there? Hmm, is there room for all of us..."
She then listens as Fembris mentions the investigation agency. Clearly excited all over again, she gives a glance to Ludolf. Once Ludolf has given his acceptance, she yells out, "Yes! Of course we'll do it!"
Pardot says, looking back to the group, pausing only briefly at Daventry, before replying, "I'd be happy to join this team. It'll give us all a chance to work together more."
Fembris looks like she is about to explode with happiness as you agree to join the CIA. "I knew you would help. I think we can make a real difference not just here at Candlekeep but in all of Faerun. This is going to be simply wonderful!"
Bookwyrm is also obviously pleased, "Thank you Seekers, Fembris has been rather persistent in the need for this. I am not convinced yet but I am willing to try for now. If you do well then I will make you permanent members of the Keep which would include access to the main library."He looks at Fembris carefully, "I just hope this is not mistake. We have never had a need for guards or police this may be a dangerous precedent."
The old dragonborn sits down at his desk, he looks tired though relieved. He takes a long drink of alcohol and looks back at you all, "I am sure you are tired from your journey and want to rest. Please enjoy the evening I am sure there will be more work soon. As for your accommodations, we are very talented with pocket dimensions as I am sure you have noticed. We have altered Fistandia's Mansion just slightly so you can move your quarters there indefinitely. At the top of the stairs where the suit of armor was located we added another flight of stairs and third floor. There you will find private rooms for all of you, if you let us know how you would like it decorated we are happy to meet your needs, whatever that might be. The rest of the mansion is as you left it, including the homunculi and pseudodragons...."Finally he looks carefully at you all, "If there is nothing else please go enjoy yourselves for the evening."
He will happily answer any more questions or concerns you have but he is satisfied with the report you gave. He will keep the books and the heart. It is late afternoon and you have earned a bit of rest.
Before you leave Bookwyrm says, "Master Crowley, could I please have a moment of your time in private for a.... personal matter..."

"I don't think we'll be a police force exactly."Pardot says, reaching for the bottle to see if it's ok before pouring himself a drink, then adding, "But more helpers who can see things from a perspective that those of you who have devoted yourself to the keep might miss. Thank you for the opportunity."
Triäsa gives Ludolf a questioning look as Bookwyrm asks 'Master Crowley' to stay. She then turns to Pardot, nodding at his comment. "Right. We shall lean heavier on the investigation than on the guard part for certain. We should barely be noticed by most Seekers and Avowed."
She then looks back to Bookwyrm. "I do have one question about the pocket dimension. What about any of Fistandia's personal items? Have you removed them or should we pack them up or something? And what if she returns?"
Daventry smiles as Fembris makes her offer, and even more so as Bookwyrm offers up the pocket dimension.
"A place of my own in a magical mansion? A team I enjoy working with? A chance to uncover dark mysteries and perhaps save the realm? I guess that could work for me!"
She looks to each of her new friends, then to the First Reader.
"Thank you for this opportunity, Bookwyrm." She gives him a nod as he motions for Ludolf to stay behind.
"Hey, Fembris, why don't you go collect Davy and we all celebrate with a bottle of Fistandia's finest? Explore our new... Home." Daventry puts emphasis on that last word, like it's a novel concept. "Hopefully less demons and murder chairs this time. We'll introduce you to the Spice Twins!"
"Yes, please ask the the Spice Twins to cook up something special for us, I think we all deserve it." Ludolf says smiling to the others as they leave. As they close the door he turns to Bookwyrm. "So First Reader, what did you want to speak to me about?"
Bookwyrm smiles at Pardot and Triäsa, "That is the kind of wisdom that I hope you would display and bodes well for this project. I shall follow your career with great interest. As for Fistandia, no one has seen her in many years while we know she is alive we can not hold such an interesting resource waiting for her. If she returns we readdress the mansion but for now it is yours. We have collected her personal effects and stored them in the Master Bedroom on the second floor. There is not much."
Fembris looks very excited at the prospect of visiting the mansion and a celebration, "I would love that!! Yes please I will grab Davy now and we will meet you outside. You think we could have some cherry pie?!" She then scurries out the door skipping happily and whistling a familiar tune.

As everyone heads out, Triäsa lingers by the door. "Hey, I will just stick around and wait for Ludolf. Make sure everything is ok," she tells the others. "Meet you back in our mansion?"
She stays just a few steps outside the door, pushing slowly about to wait.
After a while the door to Bookwyrms office opens again and Ludolf steps out carrying a book, a map and a letter. As he sees Triäsa he smiles warmly."Ready for revels Triäsa? I believe we just might have a new assignment on our hands." He says holding forth the things in his hands.
Triäsa smiles at Ludolf. "Really? That's great news. Yes, we should catch up with the others."
As the two head to the pocket dimension mansion, she ask, "Why did Bookwyrm ask to talk to you privately though, Master Crowley?" Triäsa laughs lightly, having put a slight emphasis on this name of his. "Master Crowley... I kind of like the sound of that. Hmm... maybe that is how I should refer to you now!"
She seems to be in exceptionally happy mood as they talk.
"Hah, no one will ever be your master I suspect my dear Triäsa, but yes, I think I could get used to Master Crowley." He says smiling as they head down to the Hearth, over the Court of Air and into the Pillar of Pedagogy with the studying room holding the portal to their newly gifted pocket-plane mansion. "I'm not really sure why the First Reader wanted me alone, maybe out of courtesy as he delivered a letter from my uncle." He says, looking down at the letter laying on the book and the map. "I will tell you all in a moment but let's find the others first. If I had to guess they would be in the dining room by now, waiting for our Spicy Twins to serve dinner." He says on their way there. As they enter the study room he moves up to the wall with the hidden portal. It seems like another life now from when they first came here and Triäsa discovered the portal that led them into a fantastic adventure together. Ludolf looks back at her now smiling gratefully. "Scepter."
Once given leave, Pardot wastes no time and immediately shifts into a cat and dashes off through the Keep to find Pocket and run around for a while before telling him that they are moving back into the Pocket Dimension ((can I cat open the door??)). After a bit of frolicking they make their way into their new home and pick out a room as high up as possible, Pardot asking Pocket if he has any preference having lived here for so long. They then make their way to the kitchen for a snack and drink.
(Sorry Kev I didn't get a chance to post this last night...)
You meet with Fembris and Davy downstairs in the Hearth. They are each holding two bottles of what appears to be a very fine champagne that you have never heard of called Champagne du le Stomp.
“Ready to go? I am very excited to see the mansion!” Fembris asks in her usual peppy voice. Unless you stop her she will head out the door with a quick skip in her step. Davy struggles to keep up but follows along obediently.
As you cross the Court of Air you notice a group of 5 people walking across the stone courtyard heading directly toward you. In the front is a women wearing robes of the Avowed with fiery red hair. She is closely flanked by a dwarf and a drow. Behind them are two tabaxi, identical in appearance. All of them wearing robes of the Avowed.
The red headed women pauses for a second and says, “Well if it isn’t Bookwyrm’s new lap dog.” She sneers as she looks toward Fembris. Her eyes then lock with Daventry “I didn’t think he would trust one so careless and clumsy as you.” Her gaze shifts to Triäsa then Pardot as she continues, “the puddle licker and one who nearly destroyed the House of Scribes. What an interesting crew I would have thought the first reader would have better taste.” She continues taking you all in and looks towardLudolf, “I see they brought their father to school. How cute.” Her four companions snicker at the remarks as she looks down her nose at the group of you.
"Just ignore them." Ludolf says to the others. He is in too good of a mood to let himself even be annoyed by the school yard bullying attempt of the red headed avowed. "But I admit I am a bit curious over what that five year old was referring to." He adds with a smirk as he keeps on walking towards the Pillars of Pedagogy, looking particularly at Dav and Tri.
As this discussion is happening Pardot walks up and takes the carefully wrapped heart out of his pack and sets it on Bookwyrm’s desk.
