"Enough of this," Randall snarls, getting frustrated. He puts both hands behind his shield and attempts to shove the large humanoid, trying to knock it prone. Athletics: 25

The flurry of attacks culiminate in terrifying bell sound in the duergars head that just gets louder and louder. It watches in horror as it's skin begins to peel, letting forth a horrible cry as it dies
Curiosity takes over Shrek, as he de-rages. He stands over the fallen beast, poking it with his halberd. “Strange thing. Not sure what doing here with monks. Definitely bad juju.”
Olaerys is breathing hard, a light sheen of sweat on his face as he was swinging his axe so hard. He takes deep breaths and tries to slow his heart rate, breathing. “Duergar, in here? Why? We need to figure this out..”

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Randall pants and wipes some of the sweat off of his brow. As he goes to retreat his spear from one of the corpses, he looks to Olaerys. "What's a Duergar, for that matter? Some sort of magic dwarfkin?" He also notices the extent of his injuries. "How are the rest of you faring? Another battle like that will push me to my limits."

"I've been better, but I think I'll manage. Anyone need healing? As for these creatures, they're new to me as well. Shall we press on?" Ankita checks out the duergars nearest to her so see if they had anything or anything of note.
Ignoring all the loot, Shrek collects all the javelins and starts attaching them to his back, using straps from a variety of locations around his pack to secure them to his back. Looking like a porcupine, numerous javelin spear tips jut out from atop his soaring shoulders.
Grunting in response to Ankita’s question, he mumbles “Shrek ready. Not good place to rest, we should move on. Others want to check out monster rooms, before we go through double doors?”
Ankita picks up the gold and statue, "I'll divide this amongst us once we're safe. And how odd, a little frog figurine?" Once she has it stashed away, she smiles at Shrek, "Agreed, if everyone is ok to move on, let's go. Lead the way, Shrek."
"Yes... let's check these rooms for clues before we move on."

Walking through the ruined door, your eyes need to adjust. A heavy wooden shutter covers the window of this room, making it quite dark inside. It is also very warm due to a large iron stove with a well-stoked fire. Ten uncomfortable-looking pallets lie on the floor amid tidy piles of iron arms and armor.
As they peruse through the sleeping pallet room, you notice Shrek trying really hard to count the pallets. Really hard. So much so that he breaks out in a sweat. After attempting to count, and recount, and recount the pallets, using his sausage-sized fingers to aide, he finally arrives at the result. “Shrek counts 15 pallets. We killed 5 bad guys. That means there be…20 left?”
Yep. Never trust the dumb galoot to do math. Definitely not his strong suit.

Melchor looks around the room, searching for anything that will provide more information about what might have brought Duergar and Monks together...
Scrawled into the foots of some of the beds you can see the now familiar triangular symbol.
You also notice several more stone figurines lying around; a couple of rats, a few more frogs, some small salamanders.
As you rustle through the beds, you find a note written in undercommon. Melchor a man of the world, can read it
"Hellenrae pays you well. You know our fruits here will be ripe. Complain more, or harass the monks further and you will be replaced by cheaper options. You have seen the price of betrayal. Do not push us further.

After taking heavy damage from Shrek, The angry Duergar tries to hold its ground against Randall's powerful shove:

but is unable to resist it and he is knocked flat on his ass.
After that Olaerys tries to come down on him with his battle axe.

Ankita, barely being missed by the oncoming attack, then looks at Randall impressed! She follows Olaerys's move and comes down on him with her staff
Attack: 21 Damage: 9
Lacking a clear line of sight, Melchor points at the prone Duergar.. ‘Mortis!’ he intones, his voice echoing with a dull bell-like tone…

Searching the fallen 'dwarves' you find 52 gp.
You also find a small stone figurine of a frog. They all have scale mail, a shield, a warpick and 2 javelins

OOC: Which room are we currently in, in the map above? Guessing one of the lower left hand corner ones, but there are three doors there.
