" I can keep going if need be, but my vote is we drag the monk - and if any of these dwarves still live - outside for some questions. Mayhaps we already hold the answers we seek. And if not, we can come back inside for another run once we have have all had a chance to catch our breaths."

"Yes, let's do that."Ankita checks to see if any of the dwarves at their feet are still alive. If any are, she drags them towards the kitchen to take them outside.
The Duergar are all quite dead. You drag the incapacitated monk outside fairly easily. It takes a moment for your eyes adjust to the new fallen darkness outside but you spot the Knights you came with in the trees about a hundred yards away, motioning you to come.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Slowly coming down off of his raging high, Shrek does his level best to stealthily follow the group back out of the monastery. When they meet up with the Knights, he gives them the stink-eye for leaving them to do all the dirty work, but bites his tongue and doesn't say anything that would enflame the situation even further. Instead, he just makes sure his friends are protected, by keeping a constant lookout for any potential "monks" following them out.
Olaerys drags one of the Duergar out as well as evidence. Olaerys waves to the knights and motions for them to come over to the monastery, but keeps walking toward them.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Sandre's face goes a little white looking at the beaten up monk and his jaw drops at the Duergar. "What have you done? What was....THAT....doing in there?"
"We snuck in to have a look around and the monks attacked us. These... duergar... were inside as well and fought alongside the monks. We brought this one," he gestures at the unconscious monk, "to see if he's willing to answer a few friendly questions about the missing delegation and just what in the prime material plane is going on around here."

Shrek is trying to keep an eye out but keeps getting distracted by the fireflies that are around
Shrek stands there, looking clueless and dumbfounded as usual. With one finger jammed up his nose, rootin' around for a golden nugget, he's quite distracted by fireflies swarming around. They remind him of his home swamp, which puts him at-ease.
"Shrek not that smart, but me thinks those not monks. Bad, evil-doers they were. Be'sides, they had much too much treasure to be monks. Me always thought that monks give up possessions when they become...monks? These...bad ones...sure didn't act like they is monks. More like cultists?" he adds, hopefully, before turning back to stare off in the distance at the swarming flies.
Olaerys nods, backing up Shrek. "Earth cultists. We've seen these symbols before, at the scene of another attack. Don't know why they are in league with the Duergar. We are wanting to search the rest of the monastery to find the delegation. Do you want to join us? What do you think, what do you make of this?"

Sandre exchanges wary glances with his comrades. "I am torn here friends. On one hand this is why we exist; to fight this kind of tyranny and root out such evil. On the other.....you must understand we have *very* explicit orders to give this place a wide berth. I do not know why. "
He pauses and turns to his 2 fellow knights and they whisper amongst themselves for a moment. Finishing, he turns back determined. "I swore an oath to my God, greater than my allegiance to the Knights. Where duergar dwell is something I cannot ignore. We will face whatever penance is required of us on our return. We come with you. What do we do with this one?"
Olaerys says to them, "I think if he could be secured out here so that he could not escape, we can take him afterwards for further questioning. Perhaps Captain Caradoon would be interested in questioning this one. Can you help me secure him, so that he can face justice at that time and the full truth be known."

Ankita nods to Sandre. “Thank you for joining us, we haven’t gotten very far within the monastery and it’s crawling with these guys.” She’s looks to the rest of the group, “Shall we take a short rest before heading back in? Also, did we want to ask this one anything before we go?”
"Let the knights decide. I would have asked for an hour's rest, but if they are willing to accompany us, then I think we can handle whatever waits inside with or without a break."

Sandre nods and after binding some wounds to stabilize the monk, splashes some water in his face to bring him to.
