This is my own personal campaign that I created for my friend and me for our first campaign. I am still a new DM learning the ropes and just here more or less to have fun and try out some stuff with other players. I may be new to the tabletop game but doing RP's like this is nothing new to me. But I welcome all levels of experience as long as you promise to cut me some slack cause I am still learning certain rules/aspects of the game.
The campaign itself is loosely based around several Urban Fantasy series(mainly DF and OD) so it is itself an urban fantasy campaign.
After the death of San Francisco's sworn protector, a wizard without a name or design because I am too lazy. One intrepid hero must team up with a small ragtag team of NPC's to tackle a broadway loving villain and disrupt his plan to bring forth the horsemen and start the apocalypse.
To get started I just need your character's basic info. Name, race, class, ability scores, etc. As well as any other details you may want to share. Once we get four players I will send a few other notes I want people to know and we will be off.
Ok I have an idea for a warlock whose patron is one of the four horsemen. They are tired of people trying to summon them and just want to get on with their day to day stuff and relax but they can’t directly interfere so they make a deal and try to get their warlock to stop it.
Ok.... A few questions... What sort of encumbrance rules, what books are and arent allowed, are Tashas ASI swapping rules in play?

Hey, sorry for the late reply. Encumbrance rules of if f your carrying weight extended your 5 times your strength you get ten points off your speed. All books allowed. No ASI swapping rules in play.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
How about this? Tiefling Bard
Jean Martineaux has always dreamt of becoming a star. But lacking the funds (and courage) to make the trip out to LA or New York, he has been trying, without much success, to break out into the local theatre circuit using his stage name, Johnny Tempest. What he lacks in professional acting and vocal training, he tries to make up with dramatic flair using his innate thaumaturgy.
If we are going with standard array, then probably 8, 14, 10, 13, 12, 15
If we are going with rolled, then Ability scores: 111217121511
(If we are doing rolled stats with ones rerolled, I can calculate that too)

Ok, so if people are ready and have their characters all set then we can get started! Just reply to this letting me know your ready to go and we shall get started.
Each of your characters has sepertaly recived a mysterious note you do not recognize the name or the handwriting of the letter, and it goes as follows,
To Whom It May Concern,
If you have received this letter then he is dead. We can not wallow in this great loss, because his deaths means that whatever he was protectting us, this city from. Is going to be able to take over. You have been sent this note for whatever reason he believed you have the nesiscary skills to keep this city save. At least that's what he believed. So, if you are concerend even in the slightest about the well being of this city, you will meet me here,
You can see at the bottom of the note an address for a bar you havent to before named McGuffins
Sincerely, Beck
(So more or less go ahead and describe how your character goes about going to this bar and what they do when hey get there.)
Jean, aka JohnnyTempest, twiddles his thumbs nervously in the waiting room. This isto be his fourth audition this week, and his last three hadn't been stellar. He looks around at the other auditionees who are vying for the lead role in the local production of Gnomeo and Ghouliette. All gnomes, he notes grimly, pulling his hat lower over his tiefling horns. And all far more inconspicuously dressed. Jeanhopes that his own attire -- a garish but relatively period-appropriate costume, complete with a cheap 'ornamental' rapier at his hip and out-of-tune lute strung across his back -- will help him stand out.
He pulls his script out of its envelope to get in some last minute practice with his lines. As he does so, something falls to the ground at his feet. Curious, Jeanstoops to pick it up. A letter? "I don't recognize the handwriting,"he thinks to himself before giving a quick read.

Confused, Jeangives it another read. "Is this some kind of joke?" he wonders, "Or maybe... Yes, surely... A private casting call for an underground production!" He looks around the room again at his diminutive competitors. "Let's be real, I was never getting this role." Without speaking a word out loud, he hurriedly packs up his things and bolts for the door as he reads the address over and over again to sear it into his memory.
Arriving at the bar not half an hour later, he collects himself, adjust his costume in an attempt to appear a little bit less out of place, and pulls the door open, uncertain of what to expect inside.

gotta say the Broadway loving villain is very intriguing!!
Haha, thanks. It was just a weird idea i had to make it more fun.

If that doesn’t work I was thinking rouge but I’ll have to think it over.
You know what, go for it. Why not let’s do that.
