You follow Arthur back to the parlour where Alanik is still studying the spirit board. Then Sharone decides to go and quickly try the front doors which do open.
"There's definitely activity going on in this house," Arthur explains. "Unless it is an elaborate prank, then the activity is supernatural. In which case this place is haunted and it seems that the spirits might be waking up."
"I see," Alanik says nodding his head and turning his attention to Arthur. "Have you seen any apparitions yet?"
"There did seem to be one that was under a sheet. However, when I removed the sheet all we found underneath was a small doll. I'm guessing the spirit disappeared as soon as the sheet was removed.
Have you had any luck yet with the spirit board?"
"Nothing yet," Alanik admitted. "I also have not seen any unusual activity in this room. It seems that the spirits may be avoiding this room as of yet.
For now, I suggest you continue your investigation through the rooms and I will be sure to call you if I get something on the spirit board."
"It might be our best way of communicating with the spirits. We did just hear a voice, but I think it was more of an echo of the past.
But very well, I think there's just a couple more rooms left on the ground floor, then we begin by moving upstairs I should think."

"I am glad to see you are well Alanik, did you not hear the voice coming from the dining room? It appeared loud enough to be heard throughout the household." She turns to the rest of the group, "I see there were a few smaller rooms North of hallway 9, shall we check those out as we go? I don't think we should leave any area unchecked." And with that, she heads to hallway 9 and goes to open the door at the end.
Sharone says to Arthur, "Perhaps we should carry the table and the planchette into the ballroom and try there? Or another spot where we felt an unnatural coldness, that might be another spot to try. Perhaps it needs to be in that location rather than where you have it set up now."

Bigan trails behind Misira to the ballroom, ready for anything that comes to them. "You know, I had the thought of the possibility of slicing ghosts with an axe. Can that be done?"
Misira looks around the ballroom but sees nothing of interest.
Arthur replies to Sharone, "Maybe."
"Theoretically it should work anywhere in the house. I'll just spend a few more minutes trying in here, but if I've gotten nowhere by the time you're ready to move to another floor, then I'll gladly move locations."

Lyreth ponders what such a big room was used for. They called it a ballroom but she isn't seeing any balls. Maybe it was something like an indoor arena?

Sharone keeps on guard, looking for any new phenomena in the rooms as we move through them. “Not sure what exactly we are looking for…”

As they pass by Alanik, Sharone is growing a little annoyed and irritated, decides to play a trick on him. She turns her back and uses thaumaturgy to causes the ground to rumble for a minute, she creates ominous whispers in the parlor, and the front door to slam open and then shut. “Uh oh, there it is, are they running out the front door? Whoa, I think you’ve got something there.”

Bigan would immediately react to the sudden slamming of the door and rush over there with his axe. Rushing to the door, he'd do a running kick to the door to break it open so it would stop and get a clear vision and sense of what is going on, axe at the ready to slice.
Misira gives Sharone a smirk for the trick she is playing and continues on. The quicker they get through this house the quicker they get paid. Not sure what that voice was all about though... sure is an interesting house.
Alanik smiles at Sharone, "Yeah, sorry, but your little ruse is not going to fool me." Then in a quieter voice, he continues, "Careful now, you wouldn't want me to spill your secrets now would you?"
Misira is the first to find the conservatory. Desiccated vines sprawl across the tables and foggy glass walls of this conservatory. Rusted gardening tools and pots of barren soil lie scattered across sturdy wooden tables.

Bigan, who was already fairly alert and ready for anything to pop-out at him would dodge the oncoming trowel, letting loose a frustrated growl. (Attack missed)
He was so alert and distracted he didn't notice the illusion made by Wrenn.

ooc: with an earlier investigation roll of 20 may I suggest they try the Planchet on the spirit board?

(Okay, sorry if it wasn't clear but Alanik is trying the planchet with the spirit board. It's just not currently getting any response.)

Sharone follows Misira, looking for any other manifestations. The plan is to methodically walk through each first floor room and then head upstairs.

Wrenn looks around shrugs and follows the group it seems they think he's of little value until they find a locked door or fall into a trap
"I still wonder who or what that was that brought us here."
He starts looking around tapping here and there with his thieves tools looking for secret doors and traps and such
