"What if we layer him up in clothes, covering every inch of his skin." Nolla suggests, pulling off her own cloak. "Maybe he can walk to town with us if he is covered. There has to be someone at town that can remove the disease from him, as we did several of those wolves." She would also look to the woodcutters. "Or would you have a wagon we can use? You have to get this wood back to town, or to farms, so must have wagons. If we could use one, we could cover it and give him a place to stay the entire ride back to town..."
((Murph's not been on in a week, but also don't need anything further, we'll resolve the rest narratively.))
Peri is doing unwell, as his body is invaded by the slime, you consider packaging him up and porting him back to town, but bringing an infection into town, even if you're careful about it, seems like an opportunity for bad luck to strike, so you instead wait for night and return him to the cave, where he spends the week with the leg less fellow and the wolves. When you return, you're able to take him into the woods and purge him, putting down the slime that had been growing within him, but not before Nolla gets slimed and it burrows in (Stress check for Nolla).
It's easy enough for her to be purged, it hadn't had time to establish, and you're able to kill it off. The pair of paladins then set to work on the other residents of the cave, taking them one at a time, purging and killing slimes. Nolla and Thav both have some close calls (stress check for each), but you manage to pull through, and in the end, the slimes have been cleared from the cave, lighting torches and lanterns and making sure to bathe the whole place in bright light helps you be sure you've gotten it all. The fellow you met thanks you profusely, and the wolves nuzzle your hands in appreciation.

Samael bows towards the wolves. before he leaves,he makes and lights a safe campfire for the man in the cave. no wolves were harmed in the making of this.
After they finish purging and slaying the last of the slime-things, Thavriol takes a step back and bows his head. "I thank you, just and mighty Tyr, for allowing me to serve as your instrument in this triumph of good over evil," the half-elf paladin says, his customary street accent suppressed for the moment. He represses a shudder at the memory of his own narrow escape from infection. Looking up, he turns to the wolves and the legless man.
"I'm glad we could help ye all. It's not evry day we can do that but we could this time an' I'm happy fer it." His accent has clearly returned. Turning to the others, he says "Shall we return to the city and collect our payment?"
(Not sure if this should modify Nolla's chances to get slimed, but she would be staying in a lighted area while the others work on the infected. She has nothing she can contribute to the effort, other than keeping watch, and can only do that within a lighted area. Her stress check is an 11, but not sure if any of this would, or should, change the narrative at all.)
((Her getting slimed was based on her <10 luck roll, so hand wavey-hand wavey, she got splashed or one got past the perimeter, etc. She takes stress from it, but no long term effects.))
"Here... I don't have much, try to live a simple life, but these are of no more use to me... and I'm sure one of you can put them to better use than I!"
The wolf-friend hands you a pair of pair of green boots.
"They can be turned on and off, making you faster and more nimble while active."
The lumberjacks give you thanks and offer you hospitality any time you're in the area. They've managed to pull together a modest collection in thanks as well, presenting you with 50 gold and their gratitude.
((The lumbercamp can serve as a base of operations for any parties that contain at least one of you. It's not quite as safe as town, and doesn't have the amenities or ability to reduce stress, but you'd be able to stay there without expending rations as long as you're helping out around camp.))
You head back to town, mission completed!
((I don't recall if there was a promised amount from anyone in town?))

(Nolla would love the boots, if the rest agree. Getting in and about an area would be great for her, and increase her ability to get where she needs in combat. If someone else wants them, then I would like to roll for it.)
((I don't recall if there was a promised amount from anyone in town?))
ooc; I reviewed the chat leading up to this adventure and we weren't promised anything. Just need the XP, then. We each get 12 gold which leaves 2 extra. I think they should go to Peri and Samael. Thavriol doesn't care and Nolla got the boots.
Edit: also does the xp get automatically put on character sheets? idk if that's how it works or how much we got this time. Also, how much stress do I have? I feel like I got quite a bit, should probably destress in town.
24 Samael stress

Samael looks unconcerned; after all, if worst comes to worst...
Nolla's save is a 16. I have no clue where she is at on stress though, so not sure if that is a good save or not...

That should be an 18, not 20. His CON is +4, not +6
