Toryn returns to the group and starts putting his armor back on. I only see one way out of this. Time to fight. I suggest we open one door to create a natural choke point and limit their entry ability. He looks over to Darwin and sees he crossed the line. Apologies me new friend. Just meant to be ribbin ya, not upset ya.
Darwin looks surprised by Toryn’s apology, but takes it graciously. “Thank you, I have a bit of an issue with being spoken to like that, which is why I got into trouble in the first place”, he says honestly.
“I have to say it does seem like time for action”, he says watching Toryn don his armour. “Let’s enter the warehouse and see what comes before we venture too far away from the safety of the door. But letting them out is not an option really in case they spread into the city”, he continues.
”From what we know Ida and Toryn hitting them with their weapons will be most effective. Attacking with magic directly being of concern, possibly causing them to replicate”, he says to summarise what they have been told.
"Sounds like a good idea- we will do our best to draw them towards us and IF it gets too bad we are still near the door. However, we cannot open that door to go out if there is any chance that one gets out with us. Toryn and I will lead, Hamish and Darwin will stay close behind. Hamish - can you bring the trap inside as well? We may get lucky and one crawl into it."
Ida prepares by adjusting her armour. She takes her shield and battle axe in each hand. While the others prepare, she tells them that she has Javelins if Hamish and Darwin need something with some range that's non-magical. She then whispers to Darwin "I know you don't need it, but if it gets bad get behind my shield and get yourself outside to safety."
Aye, stay behind us. If you could use a protective spell we will need it. Toryn latches the final buckle to his armor and picks up his long sword. I'm as ready as I'm going to be. Let's do this.

Darwin pulls out a small dagger from his belt and a purple crystal from a pouch. "Let's do this!", he says with a confidence that belies the butterflies in his stomach.
"Oh, and as we enter, I will cause a distraction. Some noise like a rumble of thunder a little ways further into the warehouse. It should help us get in unnoticed", he adds, warning the others in case they get distracted by it too.
Action: Minor Illusion - rumbling thunder sounds 30 feet into the warehouse that starts just as they open the door (doesn't say I need line of sight) and lasts until they are all inside and the door is shut behind them.
Stealth: 11 (And if the distraction was enough to give advantage: 6)
As you enter the warehouse, the sound of thunder is overwhelmingly loud as it reverberates off the stone walls of the warehouse.
If you're trying to enter stealthily, the sound of the thunder would cover your noises adequately without the need to roll. However, it is worth noting that something inside definitely knew you were outside, having seen Hamish on the ladder.
The warehouse is one large open square space, approximately 50 feet by 50 feet, with pallets of goods stacked in rows that leave approximately 10 feet between them, with each row taking up approximately 5 feet in width. One of these rows lines each opposite wall, as they rows run to the right across the space from you.
You can see a gap in the nearest row, approximately 25 feet away in the center that allows people to move between the rows without needing to circumvent the entire length of them.
Directly in front of you, there is a set up stairs that lead to a rickety looking wooden balcony that encircles the room at the height of the windows.
As you close the window behind you and the sound dies, you hear the scuttling of clawed paws on the wood, as well as some more on the stone floor of the warehouse proper.
I will draw up a quick battle map for reference later when I get off work.
https://inkarnate.com/m/gD0qwg--warehouse/ this is the ground floor's map. The balcony is about 5 feet wide. The double doors shown at the bottom are currently closed, I just wanted to make it clear where they are. The party came in through the door seen in the bottom left.
As you step clear of the boxes, the sound of scrabbling claws has gone silent. Looking around, the room is illuminated with the late afternoon sun. Briefly, you see the light reflect off of a pair of feline eyes that peer at you from the gap in the first row of crates then vanish.
From the amount of light you have, you know that soon you will have none left.

Hamish is so intent on seeing the creatures through the glass once more, he barely notices everyone else preparing until they are almost walking in to the warehouse. He seems somewhat terrified, but follows nonetheless. He takes two javelins, hoping against hope he won't even have to throw one. Wordlessly, he stays close to Ida, hoping her armor and combat skill will keep him out of harm's way. As the first creature leaps out in response to Toryn's battle cry, Hamish steels himself.

Ida is prepared, taking calculated steps inside. Toryn's battle cry throws her off for a second as she sees something land on him and try to attack. She steadies herself as she peers around on top of the crates to see where the next may come from.
The tiny monstrosity on Toryn's shoulder once again attempts to bite him but yet again only finds the steel of your armor.
Next up it is Toryn's turn.
(Please make sure you update your HP in your character sheets as we go, I have a combat tracker pulled up that's linked to your guy's sheets)
((I'm also going to allow you to make your rolls on your character sheets if that's easier. Just make sure, if you're going to do that, that the rolls are set to be seen by everyone and don't be rolling random things that will clog up the game log when I go to check the rolls haha))
(((EDIT: Please also make sure you have your equipment equipped in your character sheet so I can see your correct AC at a glance haha)))
Ida tells Hamish and Darwin to stay alert and to stay near the door, ready. She then moves towards the gap in the first row of crates where the eyes were seen moments before with her battle-axe ready.

We must take the high ground! I'll charge to the ladder as quickly as possible.

“Wai..”, Darwin starts to say to Toryn, but too late as he watches the Dwarf run for the stairs.
He turns his attention to the warehouse around him, looking and listening for signs of the creatures.

TO WAR! Toryn looks for the closest one to attack and attempts to engage.
Well, the element of surprise has been lost.
As you scream To War, a feline form leaps from the rafters and onto your shoulders.
10 bite attack [it fails it's attack]
Everyone please roll for initiative

Darwin looks on astonished as Toryn abandons his own plan to head to the stairs, screams and charges at one of the creatures.

(OOC: Not sure why it isn’t rolling - now I wish it hadn’t :-) )

Rolled a 5. Damnit
Toryn swings his sword at the beast on his back but finds only air as the creature deftly dodges the blade.
Next up is Ida
