It seems to be half natural, but changed or corrupted somehow... A good counter to many burrowing creatures is to strike the ground above it with enough force to stun it out

Having thought of a good tactic Arb swoops low and extends a hand toward the ground, with a rasped word in a druidic tongue she casts Thunderwave 15ft into the ground, it's booms put a loud echoing noise that is only amplified by the sparse plains.
