“With great power comes great responsibility“ Gillian ponders whether the group is ready for such power seeing one of them turn into the sun a star high above
“If these items are becoming magical again or whatever curse is lifted perhaps that means equally powerful forces that are against us have arrived in our midst”
"Once we get out of here, I can spend the proper time I need to figure out exactly what all these things do. I can do it here if you all wish to know right away, but it will take me about an hour or so to finish going through everything."

Roy nods to Otis and starts helping him by searching the ashen baskets more carefully.
investigation 18
“Klok, that’s pretty incredible. And Otis’s family, too!Your families must…” He pauses mid-sentence. “I mean…” He slows down checking the baskets and his face is now carefully blank. “Perhaps that’s the link, I mean. For how we have these skills. Although I suppose everyone could be related to anyone at this point, just as happenstance.”
“It could certainly be familial, I have always felt it possible that my curiosity for magic was linked to being possibly from a long line of magical beings. It seems the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree may be a truism after all”
Falken: When you uncork the bottle, you hear the odd sound of air being simultaneously forced out and sucked into the bottle at the same time. The bottle continues to vibrate slightly as you hold it in your hand.
Roy: You help Otis search the other baskets, but all you seem to find is black powdery dust in most of them.
You guys have laid down a lot of things you want to do, but you'll have to RP and decide what's first on the agenda before I move the story along. :)
Otis will help Roy and Grahl bag up everything that someone hasn't taken. Two books, A pearl, A javelin, A wand, and a ring?
"Lets head back up. Falken can tell us what they do when he can. Maybe Gillion can look at the books see if they are important. We can stop by the church, ask what the priestess saw, check for tracks. Then head out to Brenden's farm make sure his wife is safe."
Otis will move along with everyone else when they are willing to go.
Klok nods in agreement that checking out what the priestess saw is a good start. "Perhaps someone else saw something other than our priestess...." Klok says out loud to no one in particular.
“If some of us want to go investigate further please just tell me where you will be so I can join later, but it is probably best for me to do my part and take the tomes back to the barracks and sit down for some reading. Perhaps Falken and I should go to the barracks and catch up on a few hours”
(Once told where they are going next, gillian takes the tomes and returns to the barracks, sitting down for 4 hours to learn from the tomes. If rolls are needed for the hours:)
"I will join you Gillian and see if I can figure out what is going on with these items." Falken will take the magic items, from those that will give them up, and use the time that he is with Gillian to cast Identify as a ritual to identify all the items they took.
“One task at a time is best. Time is of the essence, but I don’t think we can leave Gillian and Falken alone with the objects the golem was after. We’ll get them identified first.” Roy will stick to the pair like glue.
"If the three of you are taking a break, I will be at the church asking questions. If you get done before I show up meet me there. If not I will come find you at the barracks. "
Otis will add as he walks out of the town hall with the group. He will walk as far as he can with the group before turning off to go to the church.
Grahl will go with Otis and Klok towards the church.
Along the way Grahl asks Otis What do you hope to learn at the church? We should try to find Patricia, Brendans wife. She could be in danger while we try to learn about magic items.
Otis looks over at Grahl, he notices old Klok is having trouble keeping up and slows down as he replies,"Not much really. I expect her to simply repeat she saw the shiny armored man run down the street. I expect the tracks by the church to show the same thing."
"I hope, that she saw Brendan run up to the record hall window, break it and climb through, followed by the shiny armored guy running down the street. Then I hope the tracks confirm that."
"Either of those gives us a very linear path of clues to follow back to the source. Something different than those two may mean we have two unrelated events in proximity of one another. That would suck! Because I would hate to run all the way out to Brenden's farm while more glass men appeared around town."
Falken: When you see the pearl, you suddenly realize focusing on it would make your identify spell more potent. As you and Gillian retire to the barracks, over the next hour you begin the task of interrogating each item to find out its secrets. (Your inventory has been updated.)
Gillian: You check into the two books and find that one of them is a compact wizard's spellbook that is filled with detailed notes on various spells of all kinds as well as spells delicately transcribed onto the pages in special inks you have never seen before. The second book appears to be a journal of someone named Vendris of the Seven Blue Stars, though as you begin to go through the pages you find the words shift back and forth oddly, making it quite impossible to read.
Otis, Klok, and Grahl: You find Emerita Belrith, Priestess of the Temple of Bahamut, outside talking with a few people left from the ruckus that transpired earlier. She talks soothingly to them, calming them down before turning to you as you walk up. "May the father look down on you with favor, I saw you come back with the body of that.... thing? What was it?"
Falkens face grows with curiosity as he slowly discovers what each item can do, then after noticing the cracks that have formed, he attempts to mend them.
((Falken is going to attempt to use Mending on the bottle to see if it repairs the cracks))
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Thank you priestess Belrith. It was a construct made of glass. The elders are determining what it is." Otis will reply. "Thank you also for pointing us in its direction before it could hurt anyone."
"Did any of you see where it came from? Could you take the time to carefully remember what happened before I jumped out of the window?" Otis will ask. While listening he will try to discern who is telling what they remember and who is just trying to be part of the story.

“We can split the magical items when we know. It might be time for a little rest as well.”
gillian follows the group not wanting to impress his opinions on others, knowing the events seems to be bringing the group in his direction naturally.
“Yes I can read some of the tomes when we sit down. (Is there a barracks where we all sleep and live?)

Klok stands by and listens to Otis and the priestess while looking around to see if there were others who saw what happened
(quick update)
Falken: It takes some time, but you slowly mend the cracks on the magic items. You feel this slightly helped with their stability, but not entirely.
(Original item overload chance was 25%, is now 15%)
