Character Stats: I didn't know how to roll stats here so I used a dice roller app - 18 16 16 15 15 12
Character name: Azani Gida (Nickname Iron twig)
Character race/lineage: Goliath (Using Tasha's option to customize ASI)
Character Class: Astral Self Monk (Dealer/Tank though I'm not hoping to do it better than any Barbarian/Paladin)
Backstory: The youngest of 3 siblings (has a brother and sister who are twins) he's always been the runt of the family. He grew tall but thin and as part of a family of warriors he had to find a way to be strong and fight as well, so he left home and went to the mountains where he joined a monastery that taught him how to fight with speed and how to use his mind as a weapon. Now he has left the monastery in search for challenges to prove to the monastery and especially his family that he is strong too
To use the site dice roller, type [ roll]NdX+A[ /roll] without the spaces to roll n x sided die, modified by a, is that makes any sense. So if I for example wanted to roll 3d6+1, I'd type [ roll]3d6+1[ /roll], but without the spaces. When successful it looks like this 12
Hey there! This seems like a fun concept, I'm looking forward to getting involved!

Character name: Berril
Character race/lineage: Stout Halfling
Character Class: Fighter/Eldritch Knight/Aggressive frontliner
Backstory: Berril's star was ascendant in the high stakes world of chariot racing. She was beginning to make a name for herself in all the corners of her homeland. She was dining with Dukes and Admirals. It was whispered that she was the favorite to take the Poplar Crown Cup at this year's spring festival and win the favor of the queen herself. But one day, with no explanation, she gave it all up. She said she was to travel to Dolsela and study wizardry, and no one would change her mind. Some say her true love went missing in the Forest of Wonders. Some say a vision came to her in a dream of a great destiny. Some say she just cracked under the pressure. None know but her and her manager. But regardless of the reason, she's off, and she says she won't be back until she is a great wizard.
This looks like fun, let's give it a try! Character stats: 17131115710 Character name: Lilgrea Character race: Tiefling Class: Warlock Backstory: Was playing cards with some less than salubrious types in an inn one night, but had a streak of bad luck. Some might say, very unusually bad luck. Being very sure of finally having a winning hand, asked to borrow some funds, promising a big payout when hands are shown. Of course, the hand lost, so an alternative arrangement had to be agreed... Character sheet: https://ddb.ac/characters/69163516/aPM6PU
Class: Blood Hunter (Order of the Profane Soul - Fathomless patron, reflavored as a bronze dragon). Primarily damage with some support capabilities.
Backstory: Tess Baren was part of a small clan of nomadic forest gnomes struggling to survive in an increasingly hostile wilderness. One day, as she was foraging for food and supplies, she stumbled upon the lair of a powerful bronze dragon named Isivunguvungu. She entered the lair and pled with Isivunguvungu to protect her and her clan. Isivunguvungu saw potential in Tess, and agreed that she would protect the clan if Tess would train with her to become a warrior. Tess accepted. Isivunguvungu gave Tess the nickname "Spark" (because she had the spark of greatness, or so the dragon said) and started teaching her special techniques that let her channel her own lifeforce to become more formidable in battle. Now, "Spark" heads out into the world on her first mission, to battle the monsters that threaten it.

Name: Minty Fresh
Race: High Elf
Class: Rogue (Phantom)
Backstory: Minty grew up on and off the streets making his way however he could. He had finally managed to save up enough scratch to get on the straight and narrow by setting up a small music shop. Then the visions started. Someone or something has decided that he is supposed to collect the souls of the dead -- whatever that means. The visions will not stop and every possible form of bad luck has struck his business. The voices say it will not stop until he follows his true destiny. So, having no choice that he could see, he shut down his shop and has taken his last few coins to sit his butt in this tavern to await further instruction or to forget the voices (and himself) entirely
Backstory: Justin is the youngest youngst son of the brother of a minor lord. Being at the bottom of the line of succession he'll have to make his own name. Relations with his uncle (the lord) are sour at best. So when the opportunity arose Lord Vojnaden pressured Justin in the arms of the chrurch. House Vojnaden has a strong tradition of male member joning the church of Tyr as clerics or paladins. Although he had no choice, Justin became very dedicated to the norms and values of the church. Now he seeks to bring justice and cleanse the lands of lawlessness and chaos. And maybe make a name for himself...
DM question: noble background gives me 25 gold in my starting equipment. This seems a bit excessive for a nobody from a minor house. Do you want me to tone it done?

You're fine with the RAW 25 gold pieces. However if you wish to reduce it for flavor reasons your free to do so.
Well, my character can't seem to find a steady campaign to stay in, so I guess it's time to have him apply here.
I've been watching this thread for awhile, and I'm surprised and impressed with how successful it's been. You've actually gotten me interested in contributing to this concept; if you need help with any tables, or translating them to a web page where players can visit a URL and get a text description of their numbers, let me know. (I just finished a bare-bones push-button treasure generator for my local table.)
Anyway, here's the character. I went with an average 125 gold instead of equipment; I then used 2gp of it to create a custom item, a "grooming kit," if that's all alright.
NAME: Whistler RACE: Variant Human (Feat: Sharpshooter, +1 DEX, +1 INT) (SUB)CLASS: Psi Warrior Fighter 3 BACKGROUND: Urban Bounty Hunter ALIGNMENT: Neutral Good, leaning toward True Neutral POINT BUY: 10-15-14-13-10-10 SHEET:https://ddb.ac/characters/63923174/f0uFHi BACKSTORY: Whistler's family history is a bit thick, but he grew up learning to work and help the family make it in a new city they had fled to when he was young. While a sharp mind, he was also a calm, skilled body and after various occupations found himself a bounty hunter. It was an exciting life... he got to travel to other cities, fight, even do a bit of adventuring. He became known for his uncanny accuracy with throwing implements, and for almost always successfully bringing in his targets. As the years passed, he traveled less, took less stringent jobs, and, well, adventuring? He'd stopped that a while back. But then, almost miraculously, he began developing psionic powers out of the blue. At least, that's what he's always told everyone. Thinking it might be his last chance at building a nest egg, he decided to restart his training and try his hand at adventuring again... and found that his work experience, physical skills, and subtle, growing edge gave him what he needed to "advance" in the field quickly, despite his age. Now, nearing what he feels is the peak of his adventuring career, Caleb has decided to head out into the wider world again, to see what new trials and treasures await. PIC:
Backstory: Pirates raided Zhizi's seaside village when he was very young, and he was carried away to be a slave, and possibly one day, lunch. However, a natural toughness and strength grew in him over time, due to the harsh conditions living among the murderous crew. Eventually, he challenged the ship's first mate to unarmed combat, and was seriously underestimated until landing the first decisive kick to his opponent's abdomen. He won the combat, and won the crew's respect, even though he did have to spend a week in the brig, and a month peeling potatoes and emptying chamberpots. Over time, he rose through the ranks, developing a ruthless two-weapon fighting style, and eventually forgot about his childhood home.
Not long ago, the pirate band scored a major prize, looting a treasure ship bound from the islands to the mainland. The captain and crew all took their shares of the loot and retired to a life of drinking and wenching, but Zhizi found he still had adventuring in his blood, and came to the Forest of Wonders to win fame, glory and treasure.

Okay. You can check out the game thread to see how it's running currently (link is above), but other than that, I'm willing to answer any questions you have. I don't know exactly what you want to know about it, so without a further question I don't have anything for you.

I rolled a character for this thread previously, but abandoned it. I’m back, hoping to be recruited.
I'm interested in trying this. I'll roll for stats first and then start building my character.
