"Yes, I say take them out of the equasion." Vethna says as the gas spores are illuminated by the glowing lights. "Take them out from range and then there is no worry about them noticing us as we move onward." She glances around. I can use my hand crossbow if you want, but would prefer if you just use that fire blast you were speaking of..."
Tanis continues rear scouting, as the delays may have allowed pursuit to gain a bit, but the circuitous path and water might offer opportunities to obscure the trail.

You all are able to travel the rest of the day without encountering any additional difficulties or creatures. After a few hours, the passageway intersects a larger cavern and Sarith tells you that you've picked back up with the main passage, a mile or so past where the "Demons Ahead" warning was spotted. You finish out the rest of the days travel and can take a long rest.
Let me know who is taking a watch and if you are trying to find a place to conceal yourselves off the main path.

Phodoxia looks for a place to sleep that's hidden in general but also hidden from the group. She still wants to swap watches with Shoowaa to keep an eye on the others. "Those plants were weird," she chatters to Shoowaa in Goblin. "They did kinda look like beholders, but I knew they were plants. Weird plants. My family used to collect plants. I wonder what those spores do? Probably something really nasty." She ponders this, looking wistful and intrigued with curiosity.

Shoowaa tags along with Phodxia and agrees to find concealment not only from the drow following them but the group as well. "Oooh sorry, I thought they were big meanie monsters."
Shoowaa creates some goodberries and gives Phodoxia 3 and himself 3 before he goes towards the group, slowly and quietly. "Keep up the fort I'm going to give some berries to Kiski." Shoowaa creeps closer and closer to Kiski and giving him 4 berries before he scurries away.
Kisiki gladly accepts the food from Shoowaa and allows him to scurry back to their Goblin hidey-hole. He, however, remains with the rest of the group; though often silent when not reciting prayers or advising on the meaning of tails and omens, the Lizardman strikes up a conversation with Petmailer:"Petmailer, you are of a people with our captors. Why do they pursue us so far? Are we truly worth so much to them?"
Petmailer turns to Kisiki and says “I don’t know if we are still being pursued, but it seems wise and cautious to act as if we are until we get far away from our jailers. Individually I don’t think we are worth that much to them, but I believe it is all about saving face, Ilvara doesn’t want to look bad to her superiors, and so she will pursue farther and longer than you would think. But also…” he pauses and looks around, then locks eyes with Kisiki, “I think there is something more going on here. There are forces at work here that I don’t fully understand. Perhaps this has to do with why I was imprisoned in the first place, or with this talk of demons, perhaps they are affecting the leaders in our society.” Petmailer starts to stare far off, trying to piece together connections, events.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
During his watch with Eldeth, Tanis talks to her in dwarvish about Gauntlgrym, trying to get a feel for whether that might be the best long term destination in order to escape. (Or would it be the other place that he thinks Jimjar had suggested?).
He also does it just for emotional support for both of them. Trading stories of times up at the surface to lift spirits.

In rapid succession, Petmailer launches three fire bolts at the gas spore bags, one at each.
Fire bolt 1 : Attack: 3 Damage: 10
Fire bolt 2 : Attack: 14 Damage: 4
Fire bolt 3 : Attack: 3 Damage: 3

The attacks all hit and each one causes the plant to burst. Spores are released in a cloud.
Shuushar cautions you all "Don't go near that for a little while.
Shoowaa wrinkles his nose in disgust. “Gross, they are gassy beholders.”
After a few minutes, the spores seem to have dispersed and Shuushar indicates it is safe to move on.
Vethna once more takes the lead.
And Petmailer assists, helping when he can, on the lookout for more gas filled bags of danger.

Vrah will go over to the bodies after the dust has settled down to look around, finding it odd the creatures were just hanging here doing nothing.

Tanis would be for a concealed spot off the path. He eats a Goodberry and passes out up to 9 others to anyone in the group that wants one.
He usually takes first watch with Eldeth. Assuming she is helping with Perception for advantage: 26

Vethna will take second watch with the drow she has been leading the way with. she will accept a goodberry for herself.
Perception, with help from the drow, is a 25, rolled in the game log.
She also would work to find a good place to set up camp, out of the way and somewhat hidden... Survival check, if needed, is a 17.

Kisiki nods at the explanation. He cryptically says, "Yes, the balance feels off" and then remains silent for the rest of the night.
