Eshuvenniel Kazander Ravid,Valor Bard and Acolyte of the Goddess of Luck Caradoc Langham, Halfling Rogue - Lost Magics - Epic of Pre-made Proportions! I'm not looking for heaven or hell... just someone to listen to stories I tell...
The Artificer smiles at Ky appreciatively. "I am glad to be of service. To buy both of these, I would have to empty my coffers completely... worth it to be sure, but I do not like being without any coin. Does that include the false life scroll? Not healing, but something akin I think. 284 gold left from the transaction, if you have anything else you would like to purchase?"
To Carodoc, she says, "How long has it been dead? Dragon corpses do not stick around long. How about this... you tell me where it is, and I will go harvest it. Anything I make from it, I will give you a 30% discount on it when you next come by this way."
"The Eva'din felled it with her bow not three full days ago." The halfling stares at Gelin with a roll with it, bard wink before continuing, "She and our Arcanist friend could provide you with detailed instructions... we came here directly from where it lies dead at the ruins of old Lord Thundertree's manor."

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
We will say for the purposes of this, You give her the details. I will roll here to see if hse can harvest anything, and if anything is still available. If you guys come back here, and if she was able to make anything from it, you can purchase it from her.
Roll to see if/what is available. 90
Roll to see what could be harvested: 25
With those rolls, I will say there is not much left to the Dragon besides some hide and scales... She will gather about 20 pounds of it total. I will have to think about what she does with it...
"Well... How about this... How about I give you the 284 GP remaining, and if you want the scrolls, I will hold them for you until tomorrow morning. If someone wants them between now and then, they will be local, and can wait an evening right?" The Artificer says.
Flint talked about the armorer in OOC. I will post it as if he said so, so we can keep the shopping portion moving.
Flint steps up, quiet thus far and mentions wanting to check out the armory. The group decides to head out that way.
After checking out each shop and you have coins available afterwards, I will say that if any of you want to return to the shop and purchase items, we can do that in a quick non-RP fashion. I want to RP the initial entrance to each place however, as Nah'Thair is a major hub, and you may be coming back this way.
Ky leads the group out of the Native Tealeaf and heads southeast a bit. You come to the edge of 3 separate disks before having to take a rope like bridge to a disk on its own. It is a good bit away from the rest of the rest of the city. Clanging of metal against metal can be heard coming from within, and black smoke slowly trickles out of the chimney above. You can see there is a long metal tube that runs out of the chimney, and is supported by metal bands that run out for nearly 300 yards, where a thicker band of smoke pours out. It looks like much of the exhaust is vented away from the upper crust of Nah'Thair. You also get the feeling that there is a certain level of fear that fires will spread throughout this wood based city, so the blacksmith is kept further away and separate.
The building is actually 5 separate structures that take up nearly the entire disk it sets on. Only about 10 feet the full way around is not consumed by buildings. At the front of the disk, there looks to be 2 buildings. 1 is a shop front, and the other is what looks like a storage building of sorts. The storage building has a massive chain and lock on it, and it has an aura of magic on it as well.
The shop is a simple looking building of a single story. It is in the customary browns that you have seen throughout the town as well. Walking into the shop, there is a order and neatness to it that seems to be just so. It almost looks more like a high end apparel shop, but instead of clothing, you see various examples of different armors and weapons that can be fashioned here. Everything from Leathers to Full Plate. Above that, there are examples of different weapons that can be fashioned, from daggers and cutlery, to great-axes and mauls.
In the back of the room, there is an older man with grey at the temples. He looks to be a mix of High Elf and Human. He is quite large in build, with hands that seem to have a permanent roughness and meatiness to it that speaks of years of forging. It sounds as if there is still pounding against an anvil as you are in the shoppe, so you get the feeling there is more then 1 smith.
He looks up at your entry. Seeing Ky, he smiled right off. "Eva'din! Welcome to my shoppe. It is an honor to have you here. Looking for more weaponry to slay beasts with? Keeping us safe from all manner of evil? Well come in come in, what can I help you with?"
Looking around the shoppe, all you see is examples of what can be made. He quickly picks up on this. "Ah... yes... You are looking for something more... deadly perhaps? Something a bit more robust with protections?" Come into the back."
He lifts a small piece of wood that separates the front of the shoppe to the back, and guides you into the back room. "Hopefully there is something that can please you."
Here are the items he is selling right now that you may be interested in.... (I spent a bunch of time calcing out the new prices!!!! Worth it though.)

“Well met. May the Light of the Morning Lord shine upon you “ says Cyrnair to the smith. “ I can see that your work is of the highest quality! May I ask you how did you made the polishing of that greataxe? It is stunning how the steel shows in different layers and the wave patterns of the edge are quite beautiful. “
When he sees the splint mail he says “ may I? “ if the man agrees he lifts it and check the material. “Never seen Mithral in person before. I would love to work with it... so light, so elegant. I understand that the melting process is a very delicate one and it must been done only at full moon. Is that right? And that the metal must be heated until it glows silver, not orange as the steel does... “
He stops, looking at the smith “ Excuse me sir, I am an apprentice and I let myself go. Didn’t want to disturb you... “ he smiles a little bit embarrassed.
"Not at all, not at all!" The smith says, pleased to be speaking with another smith. "The work is difficult and specific. The armor is indeed magical, though it comes innately from the material and how it is made, not by enchantment." He continues to speak happily with Cyrnair for a few moments about smithing.
When the opportunity presents itself, in between other deals, Caradoc tugs forth the masterwork scimitar he found in the drow guardtowers. "Master Armorer, we recovered this on our travels... would it be worth anything to you?"
OOC: I know we said 100gp originally (that's what's on the spreadsheet anyway LOL), and Caradoc really doesn't have any use for it. It is +1 to hit, though, so if Ky would like to exchange it for her plain scimitar...

Ky will say "Good Sir. Perhaps we can work out a deal for buying in bulk? We ride into great harm trying to stop a Planar rift to the north from consuming the world itself! Your gear would be most helpful to the cause. Perhaps you could provide us a... a small discount. Nothing that would harm your livelihood of course. Just enough that we can afford what we need to survive this coming fight."
“ I can add my old shield and armor. It’s a little bit used but I clean and polish it everyday. I’ve heard that you are in need of supplies for your forces... “
The man looks over the group, and at Ky in particular. (Good choice talking about protecting everyone after him talking to you about doing your planar duties.)
After a long moment of sizing you up, he says, "Tell ya what... your goin after that creepy storm out there... if you spend over 1000 gold, I will knock 13% off the deal. I will take the trade ins as well, though it won't help all that much..." looking to Carodoc he smiles. "The other part of the deal is I want Eva'dins old bow. I want ya to scribe your signature, and I will use it to etch it into metal. I will put it on a plaque, as proof that i sold ya the finest armor and weapons around. Deal? I dont trade in gems or other materials, other then stuff i can turn into armor. Iron, gold, silver... the like. You get me?"
He holds his hand out to shake Ky's hand. There is an earthy quality about the man that says, there is a place for respecting nobility, but not at the cost of to much of his business.
Flint browses the wears at the armory as the others discuss prices. The spear catches his eye and picks it up to test its weight. "What's the story on this item," he asks the smith with great curiosity.
The Smith smiles brightly at the sight of Flint holding the weapon. "It has been passed down in my family for the past few hundred years. Our family helped a human cleric of the moon weaver deal with a great scourge in our land. He ended up falling in love with my great grandmother, and fast forward a few hundred years... here I am. Our family has been holding on to it for someone that deserved it... and had the coin. Its sentimental, so even though I see it could belong to you... it's hard to let go. You understand."
"I'm sure a relation to my goddess," he taps his medallion with the stag over the crescent moon hanging from his neck. "She seems to have many names I'm discovering." He looks back down at the spear, admiring its quality. "A beautiful piece of course... perhaps another time." The goliath hefts it in his hands a few more time and slowly places it back down.
"Good sir. Please put the bow and the bracers away for me. At the very least, we wl be back to purchase that. The mithril is quite expensive, and since you dont deal in gems, I am afraid much of coins are in that form. We will be back later this evening after we go to the general store and see if we can make trades."
OOC: what about that gold spooling and stuff. He said he would trade in that materials.

OOC: Armor is not something that can "just be made". It hated to be made for the person specifically. That is why magic armor is so nice with the resizing.
As you all move out from the forge, Ky leads you back towards the center of this floor. Walking back the way you came you eventually turn north. At the base of a large trunk, you come to another store. It is a massive 2 story building. Walking into the building, you see the largest pile of clutter you have ever seen. It almost looks ransacked, but you realize this is just how the store is. In the midst of trying to organize the disaster, is the gruffest, hairiest elf man you have ever seen. He is well over 6 1-2 feet tall. He has thick arms, like the Smith with sausage like fingers, and a pot belly that is almost comical. Looking up, his gruff beard covers a clefted lip that was stitched and healed, but the hair is missing around the scar.
He is in the midst of putting away a small figurine as delicately as possible, which does not seem possible for his fingers. "Oh!" The man squeaks. His voice is a weird combination of deep and rumbly, and afeminite.
"The Eva'din in my store! By the moonweaver!" He says, crossing his one arm across his body, and the other on his beard. You notice his nails are lacquered, and his fingers are covered with gems. "Come in, come in! I have many things to show you!"
He pulls out some stools from the clutter and then goes about digging through the clutter in an almost prancing walk.

OOC: Actually D&D is actually way off on that. I have a friend that is a legit blacksmith (I grew up on a horse farm.) He went full tilt and made a suit of armor for a man that was into medieval fairs. He did it in 1 month, and it was historically accurate. But yes, it will take a long time to make armor. In many cases in this world, the Smith will have a caster enchant a suit of armor with a simple magic spell like Presdigitstion, so it can size up to the user. This blacksmith does not have any at this time.

OOC: Are we also going by the realism that a suit of plate armor requires a year to craft?
Eshuvenniel Kazander Ravid, Valor Bard and Acolyte of the Goddess of Luck
Caradoc Langham, Halfling Rogue - Lost Magics - Epic of Pre-made Proportions!
I'm not looking for heaven or hell... just someone to listen to stories I tell...
