The cave has a chilly feeling to it in the autumn air, and the cold from the 8 inches of water filling your boots does not help. After 30 feet of travel, those without dark vision can no longer see. Stealth checks for everyone please.
as you go in another 20 feet, the cave branches off in 2 directions: straight and to the right.
Caradoc Langham walks alongside the rest of the group, thinking about all they'd learned from Auga the goblin. Pets...Pets...He gasps, and scampers back to the little cooking fire to grab the fish the goblin had been cooking. Hurrying back, he smiled up at Cyrnair and Morgan with the skewered fish in one hand and his sword in the other.

As the group walks through the water logged tunnel, both Carodoc and Cyrnair continue to try to urge the rest of the group to move their feet without splashing, but the darkness and tight quarters makes the rest of the party to loud. As they reach the fork in the tunnel, the group hears the sound of growling and the yipping of goblins to the right tunnel. What do you do next.
Glancing to the right tunnel as they continue straight, "Looks like this is a lucky coin. Do we want to try to take care of them so they're not sneaking up on us?"
The tiefling closes her hand around the coin and casts light, keeping the magical glow hidden for the time being.
Though Morgan's telepathy only extends thirty feet, she'll attempt to broadcast to anyone that might be in that range.
*We come bringing a message for the Scaled One.*
OOC: I looked it up to be sure. You have to be able to see the target. You can’t broadcast out your thoughts. “You can communicate with any creature you can see”
Glancing back in the direction of Frixori's voice, but unable to see her in the dark, Morgan whispers, "I think they might already be aware of our presence. Not sure how much longer stealth will be helpful to us..."
“Stealthy or not “ says Cynair in low voice as he kneels and take a peeble that can be held in the palm of the hand. He closes his hand and concentrates for a second, passing part of his celestial energy to the peeble. His hand suddenly lights up, the borders of his hand and his fingertips glowing with a golden tonality.
He then approachs to Morgan
“Here, take it. As long as you have it in your hand it will be like this, but it will be brighter if you open it and you will be able to see “ he smiles at her in the dim light of the speel throught his hand gives. “Do not fear. It doesn’t burn” he says opening his other hand for her to lay hers on his. He then puts the peeble on Morgan’s hand, still covering with his own hand, and then closes her hand.
(OOC: Cast Light on a peeble so they can have a source of light)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
With the 2 momentary flashes of light in the tunnel and the conversation that followed, the yipping of the goblins stops, but the growling does not. You hear the squeeling of metal and the sound of rapid moving claws as they scratch the earth. You look over towards the right tunnel with the new light sources and you see 3 large wolves (actual wolves), along with 2 goblins holding leashes. At seeing you, they release the chained leashes and draw bows.
OOC: Frixori will be next to last. What's the light situation in this cave?
OOC: there is no natural light that you can see. You can see about 30 feet in before the sunlight dies out.
To the group, *I can create some light for us if we need it, but I assume we want to try and be stealthy first?*
"As can I," Frixori whispers as they enter the cave.

Stealth 5
Frixori flips a copper piece (odd-straight, even-right 3). "I say we go...straight."
Stealth: 3
Ryndar Shadowsbane - Lvl 3 Eldarin Fighter | Kassar - Lvl 2 Lizardfolk Druid (Circle of Stars) | Finnegan (Finn) Taggert - Lvl 1 Human Cleric (Peace Domain) |
Verdan Schmidt - Lvl 2 Half-Elf Bard | Grithik - Lvl 5 Deep Gnome Warlock (Celestial)
Something tells me stealth is NOT this party's strong suit...
*Straight seems just as good as right to me for now.*
Stealth: 7
Nope. Definitely not our forte...
...This is not going to end well...
OOC: Might well just turn on our light cantrips and really let them know we're here.
Stealth:14
“If you don’t see “ says Cyrnair “I could pray for Lathander’s aid” he offers.
PbP Character: A few ;)

"Pets like snacks, right?"

Morgan shakes her head with a faint smirk at Caradoc's comment.
*Probably depends on the kind of pet.*

Okay, my bad, I misread that part. So nix that last post from me.
