"Would be good to talk to some folks to get an idea of where to go. I don't want to just wander the forest aimlessly," Ghathi adds. "But I think we're ready to head out once if you could direct us to some of these folks."
Dwalt nods. "Never hunted Moose before." he says. "Should be fun."
Dwalt turns back to the speaker. "Who was tha last that saw tha moose, an alive so we can talk to 'em?" he asks. "I'd also like ta talk to tha lumber foreman and any folk that had a sightin'."
"That would be Rors'ran, he barely survived the attack. You can find him in his house near The Happy Scrimshander" Huddle will provide further instructions to reach him. "He's been resting after his wounds were treated. You might find him a bit weak but will surely be happy to help"
Dwalt nods. If it is light enough Dwalt will nod to the party then head out. Dwalt will ask anyone along the way to direct him, and any who follow, to the specific home of Rors'ran.
Ghathi follows along after Dwalt. "Nice there's a first-hand witness we can talk with. Hopefully talking to him will narrow down our search." He looks thoughtfully out towards the surrounding forest as they walk. "It is strange for an elk to suddenly start attack people though. Wonder if we will find yet another strange spirit." He chuckles slightly. "Hopefully not one that will scare more years out of me. I can't take any more!"
Sarya giggles along with Ghathi as the team follows Dwalt to Rors'ran's door. "Yeah, no more ghosts for a while I hope. But something made this white moose smart?" She says, looking at the ranger. "Any idea about that Dwalt?"

((Dwalt could make an arcana check...it's ok to do it with WIS mod after all he dabbles into nature magic a bit or history))
Dwalt nods. If it is light enough Dwalt will nod to the party then head out. Dwalt will ask anyone along the way to direct him, and any who follow, to the specific home of Rors'ran.
Once he arrives Dwalt knocks on the door.
A sweet voice comes from the other side "hello, give me a second" after a little more than a second the door opens and reveals an old woman, her hair is gray and looks tired. Her hands are wet and uses the end of her apron to wipe them before greeting you. "I'm sorry I just finished changing Rori's bandages..." she looks at you " oh, you look like another group of hunters. I gotta tell you, Rori has grown tired of all the questioning, maybe you bring news now instead of silly questions?" voice is no longer sweet, not hostile it just has some bite.
Dwalt scratches his beard then shrugs his shoulders. "Ghost and tha like are a bit outside of my expertise." he says. "Though I'm learnin'." he adds and smiles.
Dwalt bows slightly. "How about some silly questions but with some healin' from a Priest of tha God of Nature?" he asks, smiling slightly.
Ghathi is a bit discouraged by the woman's somewhat chilly greeting. He nods in agreement with Dwalt as he tries to lighten the woman's mood. "I could perhaps help with healing as well. I am a servant of Ilmater." As much as he might sympathize with the injured not wishing to continually answer questions, he can't help the fact that some of those answers may prove immensely helpful.
“News of other towns, news of the outside world, yes. An exchange of information. Maybe that will perk him up?” Tysris looks at her with a toothless grin.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Sarya frowns slightly at the cold geeetings but forces a polite smile on her face. "We will take care of the towns moose problem, questions is if your husband and you would like to be known as people who contributed to that."

"Now that will be very useful, most people just come and go asking questions thinking they are smarter than my Rori. But if they encounter the beast I'm sure they'll have the same luck. Rori's face when they brought him here was so terrifying! he was mumbling something about the beast talking to him before it kicked him...he said that once he was on the ground the moose got close to his face and said something else but hasn't revelead what that was...he stopped sharing this because no one gave him any credit of the tale, as if he lost his sanity or wasn't the same friend who helped many around here with this and that...now they just see him as a joke." The old lady shrugs, and her face softens "You know, I've said a pray or two to Ilmater in the past. Maybe it's a signal what happened to Rori and your visit, we never struggled that much in life but I see why Ilmater would shed his gace upon us right now."
The old lady won't ignore Tysris and Sarya's comments but will simply show a weak smile as she moved allowing you to step into the house and take you to Rors'ran room.

Dwalt finds the man laying on bed with bandages across his chest. The man looks strong but past his prime. It's hard to examine the body properly as it is well covered with heavy furs and blankets.
When the man noticed the party going into the room he sighed and before being able to say a word a wheezing sound escaped from his throat not allowing him to utter a word before the pain took over the attempt. Dwalt's magic fixes that which appears to be a consecuence of broken ribs, immediately after Dwalt was done Rors'ran touched palmed his sides and slowly understood that the pain was gone. "thank you friend" he says with a thick accent as he rolled the r "many came asking questions making me feel stupid no one took any interest in my injuries, I really thank ye... they don't know what they're dealing with...I guess that's what took you here right? the moose?" even though it seems like he feels no more pain he remains in the same position.
"Tha moose an' a man sufferin' without healin'." Dwalt says with a smile. Dwalt eases back into his chair. "I miss my pipe." he thinks to himself. "We can come back if'n yer not up ta tellin' us yer tale at tha moment but me an my companions" Dwalt nods to the party, "Would like ta hear what ya have ta say about no matter what happened." he says. "An'" Dwalt says and pats the man's arm, "Just know that when tha world was new, animals could talk like men. Some of 'em still can."

"that may be true, but we've lived here for more than four generations...My dad told me how to log the woods and pay respect to the land only taking what we needed...we barely see new faces sticking enough to build a place to live. This animal ain't no natural thing, it is a wicked creature and you should be careful whenever you encounter it..." The man continues getting more comfortable as he starts believing that his pain and the cause of it has truly been gone. "You helped me a bunch here, but I can't tell you more than I said to the other hunters 'cus I said what I know. I was lucky, the mosse attacked me on my way back so maybe you'll still find some tracks on the northern entrance of the woods, the trees will cover most snow and break the wind so the land keeps its marks for a long time."
"Fair enough." he tells the man. "But I got ta know, what did tha moose say ta ya?" he asks.
The man shudders as if he stopped thinking about that a while ago, apparently no one really asked him that. "When I was ready to return I heard the noise of a beast near me...that's common so I paid no mind to that, next thing I knew I was laying on the ground half buried in the snow looking up, the day was dark as it is today and I could barely see what was going but I swear I could hear the beast breathing just inches away from my face, when I tried to stand up my sides hurt so much that I felt like passing out and then... the beast's face was looking me in the eyes, I couldn't see a dman thing but I'm sure that it was in front of me....after maybe a minute it said with a gritty voice "I'll kill you all"....my lantern produced light again as if it was never put out and I saw the beast walking away slowly...I'm sure this was no nightmare or illusion, the cold snow was piercing my skin I remember feeling that...after that I think I passed out some other loggers found me half dead and brought me back"
