"Hey, sweet!"Sarya says, giving Tysris and Grimm an appreciative nod, then admiring the beautiful fire called forth by the druid. "So, whereto next?" She says, turning to Dawlt, ready to continue.
"Oh, sorry, I figured we made enough noise with the fighting to not bother with whispering."Sarya whispers back, then starting to look around the cave of the rat battle.

Almost nothing of interest in the cavern, the river flows violently to a small hole, however, Sarya perceived an echoing sound of water falling...most probably the river continues to one of those holes that lead to the underdark described by the townspeaker.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Ghathi, ready to take action against the rats, now calms back down again. He almost says something as well but stays quiet as Dwalt warns Sarya about the noise. He follows several steps behind Dwalt as he moves into the cavern. He keeps his eyes out for more rats - or anything else.
In the next big cavern you'll see benches and tables set up as workspaces where miners clean any gemstones they find. Gravel and pebbles are strewn on the ground. Scattered across the floor are a few hammers, picks, and broken lanterns.
Escanning the area made you stumble upon a small figurine of a dog carved out of rock, with two pebble-sized tourmalines for eyes. Doesn't look old or an antique, actually looks as if it was made recently.
The tunnel ahead leads to wooden planks and struts that form a walkway along the wall of a seemingly bottomless vertical shaft. A narrow waterfall cascades down the northeast wall, and the sound of rushing water is loud in the confined space.
"Hey, look what the nice kobolds made for us." Sarya says, grabbing the small figurine, admiring it for a moment before passing it along to their accountant Ghathi.
"I hope that walkway will be strong enough to support you my big friend."She says as she looks ahead, then glancing up at the goliath with a worried look.
Tysris looks directly to the west, “Is that another passageway that we should look through?” He goes 5-10 feet and looks that direction. If nothing, he moves back and looks at this wooden bridgework and steep drop to the depths below.
”Caution here. None of us want to go flying off that bridge into the shaft below, that would be the end of you. What if we drove a piton into this wall and used a rope as a handhold, just looked a little bit below this to make sure it won’t give way?”

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Dwalt heads to the edge and looks down. If he hears of sees nothing he will start walking on the planks to test them then starts the descent.
You'll see two kobolds clinging to the underside of the walkway, they are using saws to weaken the wooden struts. They don't seem to notice you or any from the group becasuse of the noise from the waterfall.
Sarya sees Dwalt firing his crossbow and then holding up two fingers, realizing he has spotted two things worth shooting at, likely kobolds, then and sneaking forward. "So no negotiations then I take it?" She whispers to Dwalt, taking aim at one of the kobolds, but waiting for the others to get into position first.

((I’m not near my computer so I can’t properly update the map but I’ll share an image on discord))
There is nothing laying on the ground in that area, the river clearly has a strong current.

"keep yer voice down a bit." Dwalt tries to whisper. "Not sure what is ahead but, tha sound of dying rats may draw something to us."
Dwalt moves slowly into the cavern where the rats lay dead.

The kobolds didn't even notice the bolt - which makes perfect sense because it was way off haha
Dwalt curses under his breath then turns to look to the party and points towards the kobolds and holds up 2 fingers.
