Rizo straightens his backpack, "I'm quite alright, thank you. Tired, though. The forest teems with bandits, that's sure."
(I guess, @Acjots, you can present us the next/last encounter.
@All: That said, at some point I thought that I would do the last threat, therefore I did prepare a more elaborate ending that ties somewhat into the story, rather than rolling on tables it would be a bit more of a normal adventuring style with a few choices that have an impact. Mind you, I 'm not talking about a full blown adventure, it is a short storied variant of getting back to town but it maybe longer than one normal encounter that we had here and rewards would be commensurate. Just think if you still want to do that as a bonus after Acjots' threat and let me know. Just wanted to ask early because there are two potential (but not necessary) combats in there that depend on how things go and it might be useful to not burn all resources. Still, if you just want to return without incidence and let your characters rest and finally go through the rewards, that's fine, too.)

Sorry, I'm beginning to enter a vacation period and while I will try to check-in at least daily, I cannot promise that I will always be able to do so. From September 1, I should be back to normal.
I also have planned something different. We've seen enough Bandits and Goblins.
Roll for time between encounters: 5
As the party makes their way back they notice a large mound rising from the forrest. You are pretty sure it wasn't there before. Nevertheless it's on the road back, so you'll have to pass it.
I need you all to make a perception roll. (Justin's roll 10 )
Rizo's perception: 21 (if this check is related to smell it is with advantage: 12)

Keep in mind, if we want, Egan can send Corvina in for a closer look.
That's a good idea, too.

Everybody but Lilgrea notices that there are bodies of elven adventurers in random places as you walk on. Minty, Egan and Rizo recognise them as the Elves you saw at the beginning of your adventure.
"These are the veteran warriors we saw before we arrived to the clearing, whatever killed them must have been powerful." He looks around if there are any bodies of another faction as to justify it as a battle. When they get closer, Rizo will try to identify the cause of death based on the wounds that are visible.

"It looks like they were bitten," Rizo explains. "Some injuries look much like they have been exposed to acid. Though, I'm not sure what could have caused such. I'd recommend to advance with caution." How long have they been dead? Rizo wonders. Can't have been that long if it is the same ones that they saw earlier.

"Do you think they were fighting each other or joined together to fight something else entirely? If it was a beast or beasts, their motivation appears to be something other than food."
Rizo, put in alert and with his shield raised, advances slowly towards the mound, unless someone tries to stop him. Does the mound look freshly made from loose soil or is there old vegetation on it as if the ground itself bulged?

The mound looks ancient. You don't understand how you could have missed it. Once you are closer you notice a gaping black hole in de side. Curled up in front of the hole is what you assume is a large black dog. Those assumptions quickly melt away as the form unfurls a pair of leatherly black wings and cranes its neck toward you before muttering something in a strange, guttural tongue.
Does anyone understand Draconic?
