(Eline readies the Message spell as an action if and when she and Trem go for a little walk. This readied action is for the express purpose of sending a message to Roxaria--currently on watch-- in the event that something comes up near the camp, whether a threat, or otherwise.)
Eline chuckles. "Yeah, you could say that again! It was nuts! I thought for sure we were going to lose Kha, but he's built of hardier stuff than we think! Anyway, so I noticed...," she muses, recalling their cave adventure, "...that you rather sincerely--and maybe in a bit of a hurry?--asked me to leave. While you were at Hulil's treasure chest, I mean." She continues to walk next to him. "I must say, you're quite the nimble-handed elf! You got that thing open without breaking a sweat! You can color me impressed!"
She smiles again at him. "Don't worry, Trem," she says in a reassuring tone, "unlike some, I'm not so quick to judge! I think your particular skills are brilliant, honestly. And," her voice softens, "when we were...in the tent the last time we camped, you were there for me at a really low moment. I don't think you or anyone really knows just how much that meant to me." At that moment, she snaps her fingers, and a small candlelight flame floats above them. She smiles again. "I haven't stopped seeing the flame since then."
A feeling of guilt washes over Trem. But then he thinks about how Eline blamed herself for not being able to save mom. He doesn't want her blaming herself for not being able to save her handsome Elf.
Well... we've got lives to save, cures to find. I have a "deal" with Hulil after all!
"A deal, eh? What kind of deal?" She dispels the small flame, and continues walking with Trem. "And you're not wrong: it is cold here! I've never gotten used to it." She shivers and pulls her cloak tighter around her shoulders. Nonchalantly, she leans against Trem.
Eline laughs, a genuine, sincere laughter. "You're funny, Trem. Don't worry, I like funny. Keeps life interesting. Tell me," she says, looking up at him, a slightly playful gleam in her green eyes, "how old are you? I know elves tend to live quite a bit longer than us human folk."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Roxaria retires for the evening and wakes Reginald for his shift. When morning breaks, Roxaria wakes and breaks down her tent. She helps where she can to assist others in breaking their camp down and checks on Kha to see how he is doing.
”Feeling better, big guy? I hope the rest made good on your recovery. We’re not far from Palebank and we can all get a drink and some quality food at the Jolly Dwarf Inn.”
Roxaria will again lead the party back to Palebank, taking the lead and watching for anything.
Roxaria does not see a nest or any angry moms. On closer inspection she realizes it a reptilian egg. Although what kind of reptile she does not know and would need to wait until it hatches.
Kha, sitting just inside his tent, looks up from his thin prayer book and gives Roxaria a smile. "Yup! Feeling pretty good this morning. Thanks! I'll certainly join you in a drink to celebrate our safe return... First one's on me!" The cleric then finishes up his mornig preparations before breaking down his tent.
Peering over Roxaria's shoulder, Kha looks down at the egg for a moment. "Hrm... How did we miss this on our way to the cave?" he says looking around the area for any signs of of anything suspicious.
“I’m hesitant on picking it up, let alone bringing it with us. It’s definitely reptilian, though I don’t know what sort of reptile lays eggs such as this color and pattern. There doesn’t seem to be any nest or mama nearby to protect it either, which seems odd. I suppose it could have been stolen and then dropped here later.”
Roxaria kneels down and touches the egg to see if it is warm or cold. “I wonder if whatever it is is even still viable to hatch?”
“I would think so. I was under the impression that lizards were cold-blooded and needed to sun themselves to regulate body temperature. That’s what I find so odd about it just sitting here.”
Having spent the night under the stars with Trem, and having retired together to their tent, Eline rises and wakes, helping where she can to take down camp. As the group begins their return journey to Palebank, Roxaria, Kha, and Reginald spot the strange egg. Eline sees it too, and approaching, wonders what all the fuss is about. Then the egg wobbles...
"Shit!"

I'm going to "cure" her!
This is nice. I like to keep you warm.

Eline smiles and snuggles into Trem as they walk. "Yeah. It is nice." She shuts her eyes, letting Trem guide the two of them as they walk.
"I hope we find a cure soon. This sickness... it kind of frightens me..." She goes silent for a while.
"You know," she says after some time, "you're going to outlive me, right?"
*gulp* Errr... with my life style? I doubt it! I almost died twice the past 24 hours! Haha!

Its a beautiful night with moon and stars out. Nothing happens during the night. After a restful sleep everyone awakens to the morning sunshine.

The party sets out and Roxaria almost notices a small egg with light blue spots, half buried in the frozen dune.
Roxaria halts the column, holding her right arm up and balling her hand in a fist.
”Guys. There’s an odd looking egg here. Anyone ever see anything like this?”
Roxaria approaches the egg to show the others where it is. She looks around to see if there is a nest nearby or, worse yet, an angry mom.
Perception: 20 (game log)
Roxaria kneels to take a closer look at the egg to see if she can identify if it is a bird’s egg or reptilian egg.

As you are talking the egg wobbles ever so slightly.
