Oloven turns to Tyrel and smiles at him, putting a hand on his shoulder. "It might be for the best if you DID stay here to watch over these folk while we go. You're clearly much more powerful than you'd even let on! I think you could handle yourself if anything comes. Just keep the doors locked like they had been when we arrived and don't fight unless there's no other option. We'll be back before the night is through, I promise."
"Gentlemen, I am most impressed with your honorable intent to put a stop to this necromancer's abominable work,"Brother Siegfried says solemnly. "I was prepared to recommend this matter to my church for later attention, but if you are willing, I would much prefer we handled it directly."
"As an aside, they young halfling Miss is named Silla, and she has asked if she can join our caravan to Leilon when we depart South. I told her that I was certain it wouldn't be a problem."

Oloven claps Ace on the back and says "That's the spirit, Ace! Although hopefully it won't take THAT long. Hopefully it won't even delay our bed time. Sorry I ain't got a second magic weapon for ya, Ace, but playin' defense is just as important as offense. If you can keep the creatures off the rest of us, we'll be able to do the work of evil wizard slayin' much easier."

"Alright then. Those of us heading out, tend your wounds, have a bite to eat. Enjoy the company. And be ready to go in an hour."
Making this decision and working with the team has given Tor a: Second Wind:11 hp, which resets with the Short Rest.
During the Short Rest he will drink the Waycider bought for him and brusquely thank whoever bought it, eat some of the pork pie which he finds delicious, and listen politely to Tarbin's songs about the new Swords, but does not join in any applause.
He compliments Teega on her creations."They're fine pieces. But I don't have anywhere near the coin these are worth. Maybe his Lordship does," indicating Ace.
Addendum: Wow, what a bad Second Wind roll! Tor will also use a Hit Dice - 11
Addendum 2: The dice roller has bugged again... The original rolls including mods totalled 8 for the Second Wind, and 12 for the Hit Dice.
He will also approach Oloven at some point in the hour.
"I'm grateful to you for the axe. Thinking ahead, I can make myself go unseen if I need to, but you have a particular way with it. So if there's any scouting to be done, seems to me it'll probably be you doing it. So, you should take this."
He brings out a horn. It is simply made with a gentle twist and curve to it. Runes are etched around both the mouthpiece and the [noisy bit. The bell?]
"If you get into trouble, blow it, and only one person can hear it. That could be me, could be one of the others. You decide."
Oloven takes the horn in hand, nodding to Tor with a smile and says "I'll keep it safe. Thank you, Tor. So, you have a bit'a magic of your own huh? I'm glad ta hear it! Everybody deserves a bit, I say! Then I'll leave our initial approach in your capable hands and save my energy scouting, and for the fight."

Brother Sigi will see that his horse and cart are safely secured in the stables, thank the staff once again for their hospitality, and then offer a simple blessing on the establishment.
"Earthmother, watch over this humble gathering house, where your mortal flock meet to rest their weary limbs and drink from the fruit of your vines. Keep them ever in your sight and let not sorrow, hunger, disease or death trouble the souls within."
With that, Sigi is ready to march off in search of the source of these undead.

Tor scratches his cheek, where a shadow of dark green stubble is beginning to show. "I don't know if it's magic, so much. It's just how it is. I don't know any spells, wouldn't know where to start. I can just make myself... part of the scenery, I guess. Not invisible, just... unnoticed."Oloven's passive Insight would definitely allow him to note that Tor seems a little embarrassed about this ability, or perhaps its resentment he sees. "Can make it work for people around me too, to an extent. Should be enough to keep us hidden from anything out there on the trail."
Do any of those armor suites have rare, or magical properties?
Tarbin, the bard, is composing a song about the new Swords of Leilon--your party--and its fight against the "hordes of undead" that attacked the Wayside Inn, taking great liberties to exaggerate your heroics. He's trying to find a rhyme for "...the malevolent glow of the eyes of the wraith!"
As for the armor, they are not magical, but well-crafted. The two fancier suits will grant circumstantial bonus to Charisma checks (the lightning/hammer suit a bonus to Intimidation, the other suit a bonus to Persuasion) for people/creatures that are impressed by such things.
When you're ready to set out, let me know your marching order, and if you want Tyrel to accompany you or not. Nikita is going to stay at the inn.
If you're going to attempt to be stealthy, in these kinds of situations--e.g., outside of combat, exploration, etc.--I like to do a "Group" stealth check, where I take the average of everyone's total stealth roll to give one score for the group.
Similarly, with tracking over a long distance, I'll have whoever's doing the tracking to give three Survival checks and I'll take the average.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
I believe Oloven will be scouting ahead / tracking, if that's okay with KRSalamander. Tyrel will stay at the Inn to keep watch there/ chat smithing with Teega.
Whenever they head out, Tor will use his Merge With Stone ability to give everyone +10 to Stealth checks for an hour.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Under normal circumstances, Oloven would be more than happy to swap stories and jokes with all the fine patrons of the inn, but with his necrotic injuries and the upcoming fight, he decides it'd be better to spend it in meditation and quiet recovery. He takes a spot near the fire and focuses on his breathing, and realigning his mind and body.
(Just to be safe, I'm gonna spend 1 more hit die to try and get Oloven back to full health.)
Hit die: 6
At the end of an hour, he seems to be his normal self again. He takes his place at the front of the line with the others, showing them all the path he found. When Tor casts pass without trace, Oloven is impressed. He tells him "Couldn't have done it better myself!"After that, it's down to business. He walks silently at the front, his eyes scanning ahead to keep on the path.

You track the zombies tracks through the small rolling hills northeast of the inn (I'll let you know how stealthily you've done after Ace's roll, but it looks pretty good so far), off the road, through the knee-high (for a human) grass. You travel for about an hour when you come upon an area of flattened grass, hidden in a small copse of trees. All can see evidence that a number of feet were stomping around here. There was a small fire, and you can see evidence of a wagon and horse coming to this area and leaving, heading off to the southeast.
Give me another survival check to glean more information (it's at disadvantage due to the dark, unless you strike up some kind of light, as even with darkvision you're seeing in shades of grey). Or tell me if there's something else you'd like to do.
