Echo pokes her head into the new room, scanning tensely and silently for a moment before relaxing as it appears there are no jellies in this room. To match the atmosphere of the ruin, she whispers to the others, "do you think there will be more secret doors in this one too?"
She says that and starts walking in, stepping around loose rocks and trying to find a door and any other interesting things among the rubble. Investigation: 9
You both find what looks to be the remains of an ornate chest crushed in the rubble. Scattered about the remains are a handful of glittering gemstones, ranging in color from an opaque light pink to a translucent gem with red and blue bands. The gemstones look to be worth about 50 GP. There are no secret doors in this room. It's almost impossible to traverse with the rubble anyway.
Echo picks up a loose gem and blows off some of the dust on it, sending herself into a coughing fit in the attempt. Regaining her breath, she asks idly, "since this is a temple, are these offerings? Also,we can't really go deeper with all this rubble... should we try the other side? There's already one secret passage from this corridor to that big room, I bet there's more."
"I'm still a little curious about this chest" admits Khessa, while trying to free it from the rubble. "After we jave investigated it, sure, let's head to the other side"
"It seems there is nothing of interest left here" Khessa follows Jasper. "Let's check the other side. Can't wait to try selling the gems in Phandalin... even sharing them among everyone, they should be a nice bonus, compared to the reward provided by Harbin! Maybe I can finally buy a real Spellbook..."
Distracted by her proper-spellbook-dreams, Khessa is less perceptive than usual, but still follows Jasper, greatsword held firmly in both hands, ready to intervene in case of need.

Rel follows along, keeping an eye out for oozes or other secret passageways.
"I agree, Khessa Cabbagefield. We will all need some better equipment soon. And you're right, Echo Thornhill, there may be other hidden doors. I don't know whether those are offerings - perhaps? This seems to have been the temple to greedy dwarven gods, yet all we find here are oozes and no remains of the priests. Did the the jellies drive the priests out? If so, why did the oozes stay here rather than keep moving in search of living material? Do you see anything Jasper Mooncrest?"
Echo follows everyone out and nods to Khessa's words, "even if we find nothing else, this is plenty of treasure already, I've never seen so many gems just lying around!"
"Maybe the jellies are like... pets? You know how sometimes temples have animals? They attacked people too, maybe they are a bit like guard dogs that old Gregory kept around his storehouses." Echo scratches her head and pitches something to Rel's questions.
"I don't know..." ponders Khessa "Jellies as pets? They seem to be so stupid... I am more inclined to think that they arrived later, perhaps attracted by the bodies of the priests about whose fate Rel Serafin was wondering. If the priests died under the collapses, the Jellies could have reached them (it must be easy for them to sneak into even tight spaces) and eaten them. Anyway, we'll see what the other part of the complex has in store for us! Perhaps what we find will clarify some things".
You head through the secret door that leads back to the main temple area and are easily able to find the space on the northern wall that also has a secret door. With the same touch you learned from the dwarves, the door grinds open revealing a passageway to the north that then bends around to the east.

Khessa starts following the new passageway, still weapon (and mind) ready to face an eventual danger... but also looking around for anything of interest.
The tall arcane warrior is still evidently distracted by something; in fact at a certain point she murmurs to Echo: "You know, now what do I think about it? Jasper, thanks to the power of the moon, has allowed me to see in the dark... and to see perfectly in the dark is precisely the power you have too! Plus, the Thornhills said you was one of the shooting stars that arrived at their doorstep... When we met, joking about our differences, I said we were the Sisters of the Moon and the Sun... but maybe you're really connected to the moon somehow!"
You don't perceive any more ochre jellies as you continue eastward down the corridor. The corridor ends in what looks to be a dormitory room of some sort, with stone beds, stone side tables and the remains of what look like earthenware ewers and basins with which the residents may have used to clean themselves. On one of the end tables someone has left a leather-bound journal, which looks decrepit with age.
"Beds... of stone?!" raises an eyebrow Khessa "I can't decide if they were meant as an instrument of rest... or of torture!"
Then the blonde arcane warrior notes on one of the end tables the leather-bound journal which looks decrepit with age: "This could be interesting..." she approaches, with caution and almost reverence "... let's try not to ruin it, it could really satisfy some of our curiosities about this place!"
The tall warrior-mage, barely holding back the excitement, begins to turn the pages delicately, one at a time, trying to read it.
The pages are very delicate, some of them crumble despite your best efforts. You manage to find a page near the end of the journal that seems hastily written, as if with great urgency. The text is in Dwarvish.
Hearing Khessa, Echo walks over to her and looks over her shoulders, "I can read dwarvish!" And she will try to read it. (ooc: although i'd say... Echo's not a great reader haha)

Khessa shares with the others what she just found: "Hey guys! There is something shining and interesting here!"
She starts collecting the gems she can see, then she tries to free the crushed chest from the rubble.
Echo picks up a loose gem and blows off some of the dust on it, sending herself into a coughing fit in the attempt. Regaining her breath, she asks idly, "since this is a temple, are these offerings? The chest holds nothing more of value. It seems to have been a small chest for offerings.
