“That’s amazing! Thank you Honeymint!” exclaims Dimple. Shaking Matilda’s hand, he adds, “Well-done, Brightmite, you’ll have more fun with this than I will.”
Passing the packet of pixie dust on to Matilda with a smile, Ben says, “C’mon, let’s go to the big tent before we miss the show!”

Cad doesn't comprehend what the ticket taker's mime is supposed to mean. "What, it's some kinda clown?" He peers closely into the case and taps on the glass, trying to get the mannequin to do... whatever it's supposed to do.
Not fully comprehending the mime's answer, Cad begins to study and approach the mannequin in the case.
It's a wooden mannequin of a grinning, raven-haired young woman in witch’s attire and a green flowing cape, hovering inside a glass cabinet. At the top of the cabinet, a sign reads “Tasha the Wizard—Known for Her Hideous Laughter.” (Cad and Edgardo - make an Intelligence (History) check on that name.)
Before Cad is able to push through the crowd and approach the glass cabinet to tap on it, a young couple steps in front of the glass cabinet. One wears butterfly face paint. As he drops to one knee and pulls a small box from his pocket, his sweetheart bursts into laughter and begins rolling on the ground. The young man in face paint begins sobbing and darts into the nearby tent without getting his ticket punched.
The rest of the party:
Turned out by the pixies, those of you who are still tiny return to full size. Most of the crowd is slowly but steadily flowing toward the Big Top. The other attractions remain open, however, and immediately outside Pixie Kingdom, the barkers at the Ring Toss and the Cyclops Stare continue to try to entice you to play. The snack stalls are similarly open for business.

Cad approaches the young woman, still rolling on the ground. "Are you all right, miss? Surely the young man's suit couldn't have been that ridiculous? Please, let me help you up; your dress is going to be ruined if you keep on like that!" Cad takes the young woman's elbow to help her up, but is more and more unsettled by her convulsive laughter.
Back to his normal size, Ben drifts towards the big tent with the others, though he does stop to get a quick snack and use the facilities -- no knowing how long the show is going to be and he didn't want to spend the second half of it with his legs crossed. Something savory and a beverage should get him through the big tent show, he thinks, checking on the others as he goes and planning to find a seat near them if possible.

Cad approaches the mannequin in the glass case and the young woman on the ground shrieking with laughter. That "Tasha" name rings a bell, but Cad cannot quite remember who they are. (Perhaps Edgardo might? Make a History check!) The young woman tries to answer Cad's questions, but cannot. She continues to howl with uncontrollable laughter.
Cad: Make a Wisdom saving throw.
The young man in face paint does not emerge from the Hall of Illusions, where he ran in tears after his companion collapsed.
Meanwhile, Ben looks for some good snacks (one ticket punch for a small meal's worth; offerings include blue-frosted cupcakes, candied apples on a stick, Euphoreo cookies, Eveningberry wine, Faerie bell nectar, and Pixie tarts) before entering the Big Top. The roof of this huge tent reaches toward the night sky in three swooping peaks topped with spinning gold stars. Painted wooden panels on the tent walls whirl with colorful motion, displaying vibrant circus performances. The sound of music and laughter drifts out through the canvas door. Admission is free.

Ben:
Getting candied apples and Eveningberry wine, Ben moves to find a good seat near the front with a good view of the performance area. He checks to see if anyone has made it before him...if not, he tries to find an area with several open seats in case others want to join him.

Edgardo
Deftly ducking and weaving through the throng of guests Edgardo makes it to the Hall of Illusions only to watch a girl fall to the ground in fits of laughter while her friend bolts into the Hall.
How odd he thinks to himself as he takes in the encased mannequin. He looks up at the name on the sign above the glass box. "Tasha" he whispers.
Remembering the comment the Goblin at the ticket booth made, Horatio offers to "pay" for the young man's entrance into the Hall of Illusions with a punch from his own ticket. He then pays for himself and enters, looking for the young man to make sure he is alright. (( If applicable, he will follow the sounds of sobbing. ))
Alyeira smiles at the interaction between Matilda and Ben, glad to see the young girl grow closer with people other than herself. Glancing at the big top and the crowds around it, she deliberates on what to next, eventually turning to speak to Matilda. “Do you want to go to the Big Top? It’s one of the biggest events of the night. If your brother is still wandering around the carnival, he will likely be there - though it will be hard to spot a small child among the crowd.”
Cad is increasingly worried for and annoyed by the hysterical young woman. "Really miss, you're going to do yourself an injury!" He looks to the ticket taker. "Can't you do anything about this? She may have overindulged those Euphoria cookies or something."
He'd wanted to try to squeeze in a visit to the Hall of Illusions before the whole Big Top Shindig, but he feels time running out. Now if he did go in he'd have to rush through. Ít especially irritated him to have wasted a ticket punch -- yes it was only one silver, and someone had paid for his first ticket so it was essentially free, but too many years of running a business made any waste grate against his nerves. "Look," he says to the woman. "You've made a fool of the young man, and now you're making a fool of yourself. You really must pull yourself together!"
