(@robs88scps2, Gravity is currently not with the party, she's somewhere near the Oxpit Tavern...
I missed Gravity actually going here.
If rhe sketch captures amChaddwrly's tattooed face, some might recognize him a s a Red Wizard, though most woukd bit unless they saw the red robes ir were especially familiar with either him or the Thaysns closely fir instance if they worked in the embassy. They might also point out that the old Oxpit tavern was destroyed by the elemental rifts and the new location. <this late change has you really close to the other venue, the Leaning Boot. Youbstill want to show this picture around? Seems pretty dangerous. >
The inn has a massive raucous tavern and much lower prices, compensating for quality with quantity. It takes twelve bartenders and a small army of servers to manage the daily flow of customers. A visitor can easily be lost in the amalgam of architecture and many hundreds of tables full of drunk loud patrons. The noise from the tavern echoes across all nearby streets.
<@everyone, that oxpit inn, now called black blade and bloody boar, as the owners have relocated following the disaster, is the place across the street where rhe orcs were ejected.>
@Sam or Angus, (since I was slow to respond on the checks) in the restroom you find a note folded and stuffed between two boards on the wall. Unfolding the paper reveals the scribbled words 32 'Ammersham'
It appears to be an address. You might find it more easily if you have a map, which one of you does. A local (so pretty much just Chadderly) can make a Wis (survival) check and see if they recognize it without one. Otherwise you might just try asking around, but then again, maybe not.
<Hey guys. I'm trying to get the action moving here. This city has a ton of depth and i think it's cool to explore it, but I want to stress thst there us a txiking clock in rh game, but it's possible for me to just start it when it's introduced, rather than the originally intended time of your arrival in the city. I do t think that's necessary yet, but I do suggest you gp search out something or you're probably just going ro find things more difficult. You've set events in motion and if you're not setting the pace of your actions, things might unfold less favorably. For my part, I'm going to try and adjust things so you'll see more things. I tend to keep things neutral, so if the plan is to avoid setbacks, you have a fair chance of doing so, but if the absence kf setbacks means you never have a hook, well, that's not much of a game. So, sorry it's been tough getting things started. The spoilers here listed are things you might have picked thst would have started the adventure, but not what they do. It's just to try and get us on the same page.>
1. Get caught using (arcane) magic
2. Open the sewer grate and enter the sewer
3. Take off the jacket
4. Join the Cloaks- this also gets you a pardon for you're illegal entry, at some cost to be determined by role play / PC choices
5. Go inside the Oxpit tavern (now called by a new name and in a new location) or any other building in this area - most have a basement. Proceed to the basement. The Leaning Boot is actually in the basement, so I can't very well put something else right in there thar wouldn't overlap with a dive bar
6. Walk around at night
7. Hang around the embassy / tower of Blades/ tower of arcane might
8. Go to sleep - any inn will do. Maybe even a temple (not suggesting one, but it wouldn't be crazy to think one might allow it)
9. Leave the city - any way you please. *this will probably get you caught, but not necessarily and in would advance the plot either way
One last thing, at some point I imagine the reduce and disguise spells on Sam will end. I'd have to imagine that even in the only place in town that serves half orcs, that kind of thing is going to surprise the patrons and staff. So, I guess keep an eye on that.
So, what are we doing? I'm assuming the finder kf rhe paper shares this knowledge with everyone, so both tbe person who knows street names and the person who bought a map are aware of it.
Angus, when he returns from the frankly disgusting latrine, will remark to the others, "I found this note, which appears to contain an address. I'm not sure why it was there, but I feel compelled to check it out. Perhaps someone foresaw that we would come here and left a bit of guidance for us. Or, you know, maybe we end up at a brothel. But it's closing time, and we can't stay here, so I figure why not?"

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Angus, do you think this is how Morwena is making contact with you?"
Chadderlay will go with the others to the address on the paper.
"I think I know where that place is, or I should say at least, I think I can find it."
Heading toward the street in question that was written on the note, Chadderlay will again act as local guide for the group.
"It's this way."
As they set off Chadderlay with summon Mister Fancy, his tuxedo colored cat familiar, from it's pocket dimension and have it scout ahead.

She has been standing in front of the entrance of the inn for a while, seemingly undecided about her next action. No matter what, she will certainly want to enter the tavern when she hears her stomach making grumbling noises, apparently complaining about food deprivation.
"I'd like to have a glass of milk; non-dairy, plant based. And meat, I'd want to order something that's cooked thoroughly, no pork." She starts ordering food immediately after claiming a seat for herself.

<I wasn't going to mention it, but Bastard Bulls actually woukd be the ones operating the brothel. This 3rd party content is significantly edgier than WotC
<sorry for the lag, got caught up with something. @InkedBee - are you separating from the others - its fine, and it looks like it, I just want tomake sure I've got it right.>
One of the many bartenders eagerly supplies Gravity with her preferred non-dairy milk. "Would you care to try the mutton?" inquires the young lady tending bar. "It comes from Aglorand. Quite tender," she continues. (it's 2 gp and the quality is fair. There are finer cuts available, but this is a median entree, cooked well.)
Chadderly leads the group through the inner harbor, keeping the water to their left, they take the narrow road that also bridges the south harbor to the north. The street is located in the Eastern Meadows, only about 3 blocks from the Thayan embassy.
A peaceful quarter littered with tidy, two floor family houses owned by the richer stratum of Mulmaster population, many of whom high ranks within the Soldiery and the Cloaks. Known for its overabundance of City Guards during all time and strict night time laws, the brightly illuminated streets fall into deep slumber during midnight. It is said that this is the quarter of choice for wizards - few of whom unregistered - who seek solitude away from the street noise of the city. Chadderly is probably more than passingly familiar.
Unfortunately, this does require you all to pass again through the city, but as the heat has died down considerably, you can take a much more direct route. Still, if all goes well, you will be there before sunset and enjoy the quarter's relative safety in an hour's time. The sun will set in 3 hours.
1. Is Angus still wearing that coat?
2. Chadderly: make a navigation check - Wis(survival). DC 15, you arrive before night fall with no complications, 10 to 15, one complication, (add 2 hours) 1-9, additional complication: add another 1 hours.
Angus would have shucked the coat while in the Boot. It's probably rolled up in his bag now. UnlessChadderlay thinks he would be even more conspicuous in his normal knightly gear. Might need to find a Jedi-style cloak.

Chadderly would notice the name of a Taylor sewn into the lining of the coat, where it had been resting against his neck. He doesn't recall seeing it when he put the cost on, though he was engaged in a sales prese tarpon put on y the owner of the shop, so he may have simply missed it.
The tag reads: "Zerix Dral of Mulmaster"
This is not the name upon the shop into which Angus emerged from the basement beyond the portal. Many items are imported to the city, but the name clearly indicates Mulmaster as the home of rhe designer.
<Unless I'm corrected by @InkedBee, Gravity remains at the inn. Alternatively, she can join the rest of her party, condensing her activity there into the time the party spent drinking at the Leaning Boot and rejoining them, if she wishes. A room for the night is 10gp.>
The Red Wizard leads Terrevess, Sam and Angus (again in his typical knightly garb) along the dim dockside streets. From around the next corner you hear the sounds of a struggle. A woman shouts "Piss off, the Bastards are always millin about thus patch."
Several men laugh obnoxiously, "OH, no. The Bastards are about! You're too sweet, love. How's business? Been busy lately. Looks to me like you've been taking it easy, maybe spending some of the Bastard's glories. What do you think bous?"
A chuckling man replies "seems ripe enough to me. I think we hit the jackpot."
"Get away from me! "She runs a few steps befire being subdued.
"Hold her down." Shouts rhe first man. Rhe woman screams. In an instant, it's muffled by a gag.
This is around the next corner. If you don't just run away, roll initiative.
(@Wile_E_Coyote, Gravity separated from the group but she intended to join them outside the inn assuming that they're roaming around the dock yard.)
Cryptic Gravity
Gravity will scribble the name 'Aglorand' on the other side of her map and order the food enriched with protein. She needs stamina and better muscular strength to function properly as a battle smith.
Later in the evening, when she finds the damsel in distress screaming her lungs out, she immediately attempts to rescue her.
"This place needs better law enforcement." Chadderlay half mumbles.
Chadderlay will nudge Angus, "This should be right up your alley, Knight of Myth Drannor! A damsel in distress! Sounds like it's right around this corner!" And Chadderlay will arrive just in time.
