• The opening has a new second paragraph: “If a creature assumes the form of a legendary creature, such as through a spell, it doesn’t gain that form’s legendary actions, lair actions, or regional effects...
Therefore, ignore the legendary actions taken earlier (just wing and claw attacks)
(On his turn, posting now as I have a moment) Tetrvevess uses BA Telekinetic shove (DC 18 Str) on the golem, attempting to push it back 5’, and then casts Disintegrate on the dragon…
17 to hit
70 force damage if hits..
I was basing off the DC quoted here. I thought it was from the spell, didn't look to see its a feature.
Ok. 70 damage. So who's up?
Edit: MM doesn't seem to say anything about legendary resistance, even after errata. Probably ly because these are part kf theor awful CR calculation. Anyhow, I'm going to waive them for now. I might consider it further, but for now, no LR.
Looks like you've all left the room. The flesh golem is still still berserk, so attacking whatever is closest, even an object if it can't reach a creature. So, where to?
Yellow is hallway, gray is walls. Map is on the campaign page. If you're not happy with you're position, just assume you're wherever you think you are and let me know where thst is relative to where I've got you.
assuming the Golem and dragon will keep themselves occupied and the Dragon can’t escape the room, Tetrevesss goes back to the room with the orb in the cradle, and says “Well- that was too close.. I saw you grabbed that transmutation stone… are we ready to go now?”
if the others agree, he casts teleportation circle and brings them, as well as the cradle-Orb, and anything else of interest or value with as the group teleports to the Tower of the Arcane.
On arrival at the tower of the Arcane, Tetreves tells the nearest attending wizard.” My companions and I have a dangerously unstable artifact here.. I need some advanced arcane assistance- as soon as possible!”
The attending wizard sends for a novice standing watch. "Inform Blade Lastdawn at once!" she instructs.
"Let's set this somewhere safe. The experts will handle it. Thstbk yoi feo bringing this to us. Where did you find it?"
<have i made it clear thst this thing is just a bomb. It's useful, or dangerous, depending on which end of it you're on, but definitely not the thing you're looking for. Can you get back in to get the item or do we need to retcon or what?>
(Oh - sorry- I thought the stone the dragon dropped was the other item! I was a little unclear on what we were looking for. He can use Teleport on his staff to return, and as long as he doesn’t use his last 5th level slot we could also escape again that way. Happy to take other’s thoughts as well. In any case he can quickly give the evidence of nefarious activities to the Cloaks. )
<Nah, its a cool item, but the Ambassador has the major thing. Technically, per stat blocks, all three transmuters who live here have one of those stones, but that's a bit silly, I think. The thing just works, so if it comes up, I'll tell you what it did, or if you figure it out some other way, I guess you'll know. It's passive.>
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(So, while Tetrevess is off gallivanting with the Blades... ;)
Angus will (BA) manipulate the Aura of Vitality to heal Chadderlay for 6 hp. He will then move beside and attack the flesh golem, hoping to shield Chadderlay.
First longsword Attack: 12 Damage: 13magical slashing
Second longsword Attack: 17 Damage: 9magical slashing

Sam will try and find Angus and see the flesh thing

(Ok- well I assumed you all would come with, but can do it either way)
Tetrevess says to the attending wizard.”The Thayan embassy- the Ambassador, the others- they are working on opening- not closing- rifts to the elemental plane of fire. The evidence is here. They need to be stopped, the city is in immense danger. My companions and I are attempting to find the Ambassador and secure the situation, I need to return. Assistance from the Cloaks and Blades is requested.” Tetrevesss quickly shows the wizard some of the papers he gathered, then drinks a potion of healing, and , activating his staff, teleports back to the circle he had just inscribed to transport here (as he’s in possession of objects from that room, I think zero chance of error)
9 healing. Also adjusted for the golem attack retcon.
(No worries. Previous to this adventure, Tet had traded a Sphere of Annihilation to Heward (of Haversack fame) for a haversack and some other items, including a Staff of the Traveler)
Teleport: "Familiarity... "Associated object" means that you possess an object taken from the desired destination within the last six months, such as a book from a wizard's library, bed linen from a royal suite, or a chunk of marble from a lich's secret tomb."
If you're in possession of it, wouldn't that mean the object comes with you? On this occasion I'm ruling, "no", it can stay at the tower of arcsne might.
I have to check something before I know if Sam was able to show up and damage the flesh golem:
Is the stairway to the catacombs still blocked by stone via a spell? Sam (and Akame if he wants) can rush past the guards (maybe they get aoo? Idc. Skip it) but they'll probably follow them down the stairs. Anyway, I mostly just need to know if the stairs are still blocked.
“I can block them from following us, unless there’s another way down here.” Tetrevess offers. Assuming the others support the plan, he casts wall of stone, filling the base of the stairs or the corridor behind us with walls of stone. He will maintain concentration on it initially, but is not planning on making it permanent.
(Well, I wasn’t clear on the timeline of Sam’s arrival- was he arriving after the wall of stone was up or before we went downstairs? But I have a way this makes sense- Tet drops the concentration on the wall of stone after he delivers the message to the Cloaks- hoping that help from outside may soon arrive and keep the guards at the embassy busy.. that works, I think!).
(On the associated object, I had said that Tetrevess gathers other ‘things of interest or value’ from the room where the orb was, which I assumed he’d still have with him. So I wasn’t actually thinking the orb, but the notes, etc)
I think Sam (and Akame?) Would arrive through the central courtyard as the transmuter and golem confront the others. I did think about the fact they have to keep eyes open to guide themselves to the right spot in darkness and when they hit its daylight, maybe operate it like drowns sunlight sensitivity. Then i thought, he'll they have wings units, why not sunglasses. Then, well, let them come up with it. Anyhow, no penalty, just sharing.
>Hopefully that wall of stone was up for less than 10 minutes! That's when it becomes permanent.
So, sure. That works. Sam hits the golem with fire bolt.>
Between that and Angus' attacks, the golem falls.
The dragon, unable to squeeze through the door, cranes its azure skull into the hallways, angrily snarling and opens its jaws wide, a spark dancing across its teeth as a brilliant swell of purple gathers in its throat, heightening to a brilliance unbearable to behold.
<Duck!>
(This is theatrical. I'm not trying to hit you with the breath weapon, just move you out of the hallway)
(The disintegrate is actually DC 19, and I don’t think a potion dragon has legendary resistance,.
sorry I’m used to older versions of disintegrate, which required both hitting and have a saving throw..)
Update:
Per the errata to MM printing #10, 2018:
... to include the following new rules:

Therefore, ignore the legendary actions taken earlier (just wing and claw attacks)

I hate auto correct
