Following a fruitless search, Kriv approaches Regmar. “Hello, Quartermaster. It seems my friends and I will be continuing our fight with this cult. I was hoping you would be willing to sell me some scale mail or a chain shirt.”
Gosh, I really wanna help you. But.. you know... How about 60 gp for a chain shirt?
occ: I am assuming we are gathered together before leaving Greenest and so we are discussing our strategy about how approach and enter the camp again.
Eric then answers to Khessa: " Their camp in the hollow of a rocky plateau, roughly resembling a horseshoe. The sides of the plateau rise sharply, while the floor of the hollow slopes up gradually toward the east. As far as I remember, there are two guard towers; one at the entrance and another eastward, above the cliff. It looks like a regular military camp, with kobolds occupying the simplest and rudest ones. The camp were populated by both cultists and common mercenaries, although those are likely to have left the camp. There where the half-blue dragon who has led the Greenest's siege... that Cyanwrath Lan... something" Eric makes some gestures whit his hand, cursing his memory and mocking his enemy at the same time " and another half black dragon also was leading the camp". He exhales sharply "What really concerns us is the cave which is placed in the eastern border of the camp; the nursery as they call it which is heavily guarded. The dragon eggs are kept there" Eric then turns to the other like asking if he has missed to mention anything important...
"I think that" he continues "If we are able to reach the camp with the light of the day, we could try to gain the high-ground, taking a look downward before approaching the gait... otherwise, if the dusk already came, disguising and sneaking in could be a better option"
Zale speaks up, "That is a good plan Eric. And as long as their security hasn't changed much, we should still be able to just walk right it. Though i do think we should come up with disguises for you, Kriv, Calvin, and I. I don't know how good that half-dragon's memory be, but i don't want to risk bein' recognized by 'im."
She pauses for a moment. "Also, do ye thing you could make me some studded leather?"
occ: Yep it works just with metals... channel divinity makes also nonmetal component to appear but the basic essence of the object to be crafted must be metal.
Two last things I would ask before leaving Greenest: Could I buy a pearl in town (for identify) and Can I craft a telescope using channel divinity? (raw materials should be just metal and glass, but I was wandering if some particular knowledge is also needed)
Before you leave Leosin promises you 150 gp apiece. He tells you to find him at the city of Elturel afterward, both to report and to collect your pay. If he has moved on before you reach the city, you can speak to the paladin Ontharr Frume instead.
The monk doesn’t believe it’s essential that you head back to the camp immediately. He doesn’t expect the cultists to make any sudden changes in their plans or mode of operation.

The town is picked clean by the cult, but you know a cleric that probably has pearls and/or diamonds. Maybe you can pay her a visit?
Some scap metal and pieces of glass are easy enough to get. You can use you skill, but it will take you an hour. And if you don't want to leave town without a fresh Channel Divinty you'll also need a short rest.
But given what Leosin told you, you have all the time you need...
Even if Leosin doesn’t believe it’s essential to head back to the camp immediately, Khessa, who thinks she is missing something, asks the dwarf: "Eric, but how come you prefer disguising and sneaking in case of dusk or darkness? From how you described the camp, landing by jumping from the sides of the plateau (and slowing the fall with magic, of course) seems to me the best solution always... Why risk being seen or recognized on the ground, if we can descend from the sky? The guards will pay attention to any movements on the ground, rather than to raiders raining from the sky... no? They shouldn't expect it (all the more so because you haven't done such a thing yet)... Also, we could try to land already in the east area, not too far from the egg cave. Or is there something I'm not considering? Forgive me, but as you know I've never seen the place in person yet..."
"Oh, and while I'm in the mood for questions" adds the blonde arcane warrior, addressing all "there are a few other things I would like to know".
The tall adventurer begins: "About the cave of eggs (and loot): you say it is heavily guarded. Have you seen only common cultists and mercenaries standing guard? Or even Wearers of Purple? Because maybe then to enter the cave I could use the spell that I talked about in the beginning, to take on the appearance of a Wearer of Purple... Since their chain of command doesn't seem too rigid, if there are no other Wearers of Purple with them, the cave guards, however much many may be, they should obey me without too many suspicions, right? They should let us in... Maybe even help us, if we give them reasonable commands".
After that, she thinks about the escape from the camp: "Sooner or later, as we entered the camp, we will also have to get out. At the entrance there is a guard tower, you said; but the entrance is also blocked (from a fence, a gate or something else)? I mean... there is something physical preventing us from going outside? Or we simply have to elude the guards and we are ok?"
Finally: "Do they by chance have mounts in the camp? Because if they have them, perhaps, to better get out of the camp, we could steal some of them and make the other ones flee en masse. The mass escape of the others would create confusion and we with the stolen mounts would be more quick to flee. Do they have mounts? Or haven't you seen any?"
Does Eric's offer extend to the newcomers (like Khessa, for example...) too?
(Just to know; probably she does not need anything)
Yes, Indeed !
Khessa then might have a crafting request of her own: can you craft a Rod for her? It costs only 10gp... I hope it can be made of metal... and if there is some broken metal weapon around in Greenest, that migh suffice as raw materials... right? It would be useful to her to have a spell focus...

Dunno if artisan blessing fits arcane focuses since I don't know if they are considered magical objects or not. The ritual is restricted to non-magical object. I would let this up to the DM to decide. If allowed, no problem.
Btw Eric could give you 10gp to buy it if you need, I think it worth the cost and it benefit all the party and it isn't much meta since Eric is chaotic good cleric...

Eric answer Khessa questions "Yes, falling form the cliff could be a whise option indeed (it is just another way to sneak in, btw). When dealing with guards, I don't think that disguising ourself would be enough. Every time someone approached the cave, he was sent away regardless his rank, as far as I know they let entering the cave only the half dragons or at least, people they actually trust; so I fear that we are going to need something more than a disguise" he stops "about the other questions, we have seen no mounts into the camp and, as far as I know, there is no physical barrier guarding the entrance"

"Oh, they let entering the cave only the half dragons or at least, people they actually trust" Khessa is a little disappointed. "So we will have to overwhelm them instead, without letting them raise the alarm. We'd need a way to prevent them from running away or screaming... The only thing I could do, is try to roast them all at once by attacking by surprise with magic... But if someone survives, I don't know how to stop them from screaming. I don't know how to create silence by magic. Anyway, at least, for the escape we won't have mounts, but not barriers either. It's still something".

It doesn't matter what DM thinks bc you already got a focus! Remember the boy you befriended? (Others: this on of Linan's kids) He wanted to give you something in return for helping. He doesn't have any money, so he just stated carving a stick. It's quite pretty and you're moved to tears. Your (sentimental) connection with this rod allows you to use it as an Arcane Focus.
