As Calvin continues on his way, he is careful to avoid the fungi. He has studied a lot more than just lizards in his time. He is aware that there are number of fungi that are dangerous to be close to, and even breath the spores of. However, he doesn't immediately recognise the fungi growing around here.
(Nature: 18)
The fungi near you (and the left path) seem save. However being so small and the fungi so big, you can't really judge the fungi that's further away.
Zale also nods to Khessa's suggestion, "Sounds good to me. Though Eric may be better off leading since he can actually see down here."
I'm fine with it if you like, but I would be also fine having Khessa to lead although she needs to cast light, I'll leave up to her to decide.
Eric mumbles "Those fungi are quite suspicious, there are growth in large quantity in a small hollow of the cave (If I got it well) and there are fungi that may spread poisonous spores or functioning as alarm. They seems to me that they have cultivated here for a purpose, and since the cave has not been abandoned, someone may also hide within, better being cautious"

(Oh, well... Khessa did study the Light cantrip for something, after all! She leads, descending the stairs - with light she can see al the same plus she can not get surprised, it is a small advantage that Eric does not have)
Khessa agrees: "Yes Eric, I thought the same thing... I was trying to assess if I recognized any of them, by the way, but from this distance I can't distinguish the details well enough. As soon as we are closer, maybe I'll do better".
Invisible Nixi descends the stairs followed bij Khessa. When Khessa reaches the base of the stairs she notices that there are 4 Violet Fungi along the right path. Before she can share that information Eric triggers the trap on the stairs: the lowest steps collapse into a ramp that dumps Eric right at the base of the first violet fungi.
Eric you are prone and suddenly one of the fungi lashes out at you and makes 4 attacks!
(Oh, well... if no initiative, then I'll tell what Khessa does!)
Khessa, after descending the stairs, finally manages to recognize some of the fungi... There are four Violet Fungi along the right path!
"Oh, beware," she points to them "those are ..."
The sound of an armored dwarf that falls clattering causes the blonde arcane warrior to turn; so she sees that the last part of the staircase has suddenly become a ramp... a ramp that Eric is sliding along!
"... Violet Fungi" automatically completes Khessa, although knowing that the warning is now late: the dwarf rolls at the base of the first violet fungi and is studded with blows from the dangerous plant.
The tall adventurer hurries up the ladder, suggesting to Eric: "Disengage and come back up, we'll shoot them down from a safe distance. They can not attack from range".
And she prepares to take down the monstrous fungus from above, spamming motes of fire as soon as her friend is out of the way.
Eric rolls down over huge fungi field like a bowling ball, just for standing upright on his feet again; going backward to the stairs, with some dwarfish profanities along. (It should trigger an opportunity attack from the fungi).
As Khessa begins cooking the mushrooms, additional fire boltsappear out of thin air, assisting in the attack. Nixi's voice floats on the air. "Sorry guys, I totally walked right by those and didn't see them."

That would easily take care of the Violet Fungus. Are you also destroying the other 3 Violet Fungi along the right path? (Most of you don't see the difference, but Khessa can point them out).

So Khessa first, but Nixi firster?

I'd say yes; she is our 'scout'... She must be 'firster' to fill that role. (Plus, Calvin has already been 'firstets') 😉
occ: at least until her invisibility lasts

Rotting Touch attacks:
19 + 2 = 21 to hit for 6 dmg
7 + 2 = 9 to hit (that's a miss)
17 + 2 = 19 to hit for 3 dmg
15 + 2 = 17 (that's a miss)

In case we wish, we still can go back upstairs, right? The stairs are still usable?
Correct, also we're not going roll for initiative. We'll just RP the "encounter" with the mushroom.

(Are we rolling the Fire Bolt attacks, after Eric comes back to us? Or we assume that sooner or later we burn the darn fungi to ashes?)
(Have the fungi noticed Calvin?)
