...That would easily take care of the Violet Fungus. Are you also destroying the other 3 Violet Fungi along the right path? (Most of you don't see the difference, but Khessa can point them out).
Yes, Khessa wishes to eliminate that potential threat as well; she will burn them with additional Fire Bolts from above (shouldn't take too long). Pointing them out to whoever wants to contribute (but also advising to do this from distance... why go near and risk to get hit by a lucky blow in melee?)
Ok, so you take your time (a few minutes) and destroy all the Violet Fungi. The right path now seems clear of threats, the the left path has no Violet Fungi. Which path do you take?
Khessa proposes to take the right path: since it was rendered unusable by the Violet Fungi, it is more unlikely that the Cult has posed any other threats there (to set up a trap, the cultists would have had to go close to the Violet Fungi, with the risk of being attacked...).
As Khessa begins cooking the mushrooms, additional fire boltsappear out of thin air, assisting in the attack. Nixi's voice floats on the air. "Sorry guys, I totally walked right by those and didn't see them."
I almost missed this, but this would end your Invisibility (A creature you touch becomes invisible until the spell ends. Anything the target is wearing or carrying is invisible as long as it is on the target's person. The spell ends for a target that attacks or casts a spell.)

( Ah, i missed that as well. i thought since the cantrip didn't require concentration it would be ok. Can I retcon that?)

Yeah, no problem. It takes Khessa a bit longer, but at least you still have Invisibility up.
Nixi makes her way beyond the Fungus garden withour further issue. Some fungus from the Fungus garden dots this area, but she also notices dead bats on the floor. Straight ahead she sees that the floor drops at a ledge (she'll need to get closer to see more). To the right a ruined spear with a pitted blade lies on the floor near, what apears to be, steeply descending steps. To the left there's a wide path that continues further.
When Khessa arrives at the point described, she becomes very suspicious of the dead bats...
"What killed them?" she murmurs, stopping immediately to look around, with all her senses alert, to try to identify a possible cause of their death (anyway... there is blood? As if the bats have been killed by weapons or fangs? Or not? As if they have been killed by more exotic means, such as poison, necrotic damage...)

Looking around you don't notice anything important until you look up. Instead of a ceiling carpeted with bats there are only 10-ish creatures. I need you to make a Nature check.
Strange... it's night... shouldn't those bats be awake and outside? Wait! Those aren't bats! They're Stirges! The dead bats are victims of the stirges. It's probably best to not draw their attention.
"Guys..." Khessa whispers, pointing to the creatures she has noticed "There are stirge hanging from the ceiling. Kind of blood-sucking birds. They would probably attack us if they noticed us. Let's be quiet".
In the meantime, Khessa tries to evaluate if, by casting Burning Hands on the sleeping critters, she can manage to include all the stirge in the cone.
(@DM: it's a 15' cone. Could Khessa hit them all, by casting the spell towards the ceiling? If the ceiling is 15' high, the fire should hit a 15' diameter area on it... if the ceiling is lower the diameter would be smaller)
The ceiling is about 15 ft. But there are some stalactites blocking a full circle and the Stirges are spread out over a much wider area. You guess you can get 2 or 3, maybe 4 in your cone.
Btw if you guys continue in this part of the cave I need you all to make Stealth checks (including Nixi, this is a sound based check).

Calvin will try to stay hidden from the violet fungi.

Nixi whispers to the others, "Nixi here. OK I am heading to the right, give me a 30 second head start and then follow."
