After crossing the short, wide passage Calvin enters a new area. A simple oil lamps provide dim, flickering light. There are 4 Kobolds and 1 Flying Kobold in this chamber. They pay the Lizard no mind. There is an lower area to the North. The ledge is a sharp 10-foot drop-off. Wooden stairs descend at the right end of the ledge. A stout cage made of iron bars surrounds these steps to a height of 10 feet.
occ: Are the Kobolds in the in the middle of the chamber? it seems there are no places to hide in the way... This seems a good spot to using Sleep spell in that case.
Eric inspects the walls and the floor nearby, looking for any suspicious element that could hide a trap or hidden passage.

Eric inspects the walls and the floor nearby, looking for any suspicious element that could hide a trap or hidden passage.
Eric will stay behind the corner (the lower right-one) and watches the room form here, but he will not follow the others further, he is basically a metal can and he knows it...
Nixi will stand up from where she was peeking over the ledge and look around for Calvin the lizard. If she sees him, she will follow him into the other room.
Zale helps Khessa up, "Eh, it happens to the best of us. Let's just be glad them things seem to sleep hard."...
"Thank you, dear" Khessa whispers, patting the helpful dragonborn on the shoulder. "Hard sleepers indeed... With the noise I made, I wouldn't have been surprised to see even the dead bats on the ground wake up".
Khessa will stay with Eric then, given how stealthy she has just proven to be.
"The bars..." whispers the blonde arcane warrior to him - if she can see the bars from here, that is "They are trying to keep something inside. Maybe some of the eggs hatched... and those kobolds are baby-dragon-sitters, tasked to prevent the dragon hatchlings to wander away and get in danger".
Zale carefully makes her way to area 7, there aren't many place to hide so she sticks to the sides of cave. The dim light is enough for Zale to notice the 4 Kobolds and 1 Flying Kobold, the lower area to the North and wooden stairs with the cage made of iron bars. She also notices a key that hangs on a peg at the top of the steps. She also gets a more complet view of ther room (I'll upload a new map when I'm able, the room goes a way further west): A rack along the southwest wall holds some implements : long poles with lassos at the end; leashes and collars; sharp prods; mock weapons made of wood; human-sized dummies stitched out of sailcloth and stuffed with straw, with ridiculous expressions painted on their faces.
Moving into the area Zale notices a portion of the floor between areas 4 and 7 that has been replaced with a sheet of parchment cleverly painted to resemble the surrounding stone. Suddenly the parchment is pressed down and tears. It's Nixi who saw Lizard Calvin and followed him. She stept into a shallow pit (about 2 feet deep) lined with poisoned spikes and takes 2dmg and she needs to make 2 CON saves. The first for maintaining concentration and the second for... something else...
The Kobolds are neither deaf nor blind. Activating the trap and the bright light from Khessa's Light spell is enough for them spring into action. (They see Zale since there's nowhere to hide and possibly Nixi if she can't maintain concentration. Eric and Khessa are hiding behind the corner.
Nixi saves for concentration (still invisible) but fails the 2nd CON save. She is now confused, for the next 10 turns I'll roll a d10 to deteremine what she'll do.
For now the Kobolds only notice Zale. Get her! The first one says.
Initiative order:
Winged Kobold - 16
Nixi - 14 (Invisible - Confused)
Zale - 13
Calvin and Khessa - 12
Eric - 7
Kriv - 6
Kobolds - 5
The Winged Kobold flies to Zale as high as possible and drops a rock on her: 8 + 5 = 13 to hit (that's a miss I believe)
Nixi: roll = 6: The creature doesn't move or take actions this turn
Zale draws her rapier and uses it to block the rock. "What be you doing!" She growls angrily, "You bloody kobolds are all the same! Cyanwrath told us we need to move the hatchlings. Ye hear?! We are not intruders!"
Persuasion: 18
Deception: 23
(If talking doesn't use her action, she will hold her action until she knows she didn't persuade the kobolds.)
Khessa hears what Zale is trying to make the kobolds believe and refrains from intervening (if she attacked now, it would make what the dragonborn declared far less believable!); she waits from her position to ascertain whether the enemies are buying it or not.

The Kobolds look confused. One goes: What hatchlings? Another: These guys, maybe? And yet another says: Dragon Lady told not move anything, right?
Lizard Calvin continues on his way crawling along the ground exploring the area.

Just more dead bats, unless Lizard Calvin goes to 1 of the 3 other areas.

(Sorry, yeah, Calvin is going to the northwest section.)

Ok, before I tell what you see I need to know where you're going. Are you both following Calvin? Or Nixi? Or to the right down the stairs?
(The Kobolds are a bit spread out. One is moving further back in the room. But for now only Calvin knows that.)

She's following Calvin
Good to know. Just waiting for Eric now, so we can resolve this.
