Zale shakes her head trying to get rid of the feeling of eyes on her. When that doesn’t work she turns around to address the group and says, “Let’s continue our exploration. We can decide what to do with the Kobolds later.” She adds in a whisper, “Am I the only one that feels that someone be watchin us?”
"The shadow of the dragon Queen permeates this chamber, I do feel that this place is filled with an evil power. If I feel actual eyes over me, I cannot tell" He stands up looking all around the chamber one more time " Dunno what path should we take, I think we just could pick up one. What does your instinct tell you?"
Eric smells the air, close to the entrance of the two ways out, just in case something catches his attention "when a dwarf is in doubt about what tunnel should he follow into a cave, he trusts his noise"
"I like the passage more than the stairs" Khessa declares "because I think it is more likely that it can lead to something related to this shrine... but I could also be wrong. Any path is fine by me".
"The passage be fine with me." Zale replies, "Let's be off then." She grabs her pack from the floor and starts walking towards the passage. Before she enters, she looks for any traps.

Being a Dwarf and all, you'd know that passage is likely leading to the exit. Or at least closer to the exit.

The passage leads to a chute that rises 30 feet up. You see a rope ladder dropping down. You don't notice any traps.
Khessa goes up the ladder and, if nothing makes her suspicious, she also signals to the others to come up, to continue the exploration along that path.

Halfway up the chute it gets to dark to see for your Human eyes.
Nixi, noting her friend's disability, quickly says, "Hand me your sword, Khessa." She then casts light on the weapon and hands it back. (or on some other object if Khessa prefers).
Khessa gladly accepts her gnome friend's offer and has the spell cast on the wooden rod Stef gave her (the one she now uses as her special arcane focus - it's a more manageable item than her greatsword...).
"The light... can it be amaranth coloured?" she asks.
However, whatever color the rod begins to glow, after that the blonde arcane warrior begins to ascend the chute again.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Seeing that Khessa is attempting to listen for anything beneath the rug, Calvin joins her by her side.
"Do you think something could under there?" He whispers.
Calvin then raises his left hand forming a circle with his index finger and thumb. His middle finger is clenched and two fingers half clenched. He then utters the world "Ductu." A glowing ball of green energy forms in the circle he has created with his hand. Calvin then brings his hand to his forehead and touches it with his index finger. The green energy travels along his finger to his forehead. He leaves a glowing green spot on his forehead which then fades.

"I do not have such impression..." whispers back Khessa "But this does not mean we should not be cautious. You did well to warn us".

There seems to be an opening that's covered with a rug at the end.

If she does not hears anything suspicious (or if she does not hear anything at all) Khessa tries moving the rug around to see what's there.
