Zale cocks her head then replies to Khessa, "Well, I suppose cabbage is pretty good when ye put it with somethin else. I just wouldn't go eaten it without some meat as well" She grins, "Bein a dragonborn, I much prefer meat over vegetables."
She scoffs when the roper says women have higher fat content. "More like we just have better hygiene." She grumbles under her breath before saying. "Were there only two?" She can't remember if they were ever told how many eggs there were. She just knew there was supposed to be a clutch. How many dragon eggs make a clutch? She has no idea.
Calvin reverts to his human form, no longer able to maintain the form of a giant lizard. He looks around himself, looking for something behind him, then looks disappointed.
"I was getting used to that form," he says softly. Then he looks around to see how he can help everyone else.

“The secret we should never let the gamemasters know is that they don't need any rules.” ― Gary Gygax
"We can already start from here..." Khessa agrees "What are we going to do with Mr Sponge? Do we give him one last chance to surrender and if he refuses we'll make him suffer the consequences? Just put him in light for a moment and I can fry him from distance... Or Mr Long Arms can probably execute (and eat) him in a matter of seconds. Anyway, I don't care too much if Mr Sponge lives or dies, since I think it very likely that he is a ruthless cultist who will have who knows what and how many crimes on his conscience; but I wouldn't like to just leave him where he is now... he could run away and resume doing harm to helpless people... or even find a way to warn the Cult about us".
"Oh I was forgetting about that Cult slug" Eric mumbles "I don't think he would go that far, but I would like to see him dead or prisoner. I don't want to let him go too... If we are able to get him back without expose ourself to other risks I would take him back to Greenest as prisoner" he exhales quite sadly "although I believe that the Cult already knows about us or it will know soon... at least some Cultist have already escaped this place alive"
"If proven risky, I would let him here to his destiny, he won't get much far away, surrounded by hungry drakes and a fellow Roper"
"Let's see how much common sense Mr Sponge has left" Khessa tells Eric.
She then turns to the darkness where the cultist is supposed to be hiding: "Hey, you cultist down there… You heard we hired Mr Long Arms here, didn't you? How long do you think it will be before he decides to add you to his pantry - also considering that you're not in a position to put up too much resistance? Normally, I wouldn't shed a tear over your filthy corpse... but since you might have useful information, we're giving you one last chance: if you surrender now, we won't hurt you any more and we'll just take you prisoner. What do you say? Is it worth living on? You can trust us... If we simply wanted you dead, Mr Long Arms could take your head off more easily than he got the eggs for us!"
You only know that there are multiple eggs. You've seen 2 with your own eyes. There are traces of destroyed tendrils, but the Roper can simply grow new ones.
The Roper seems reluctant to join you...
Well... you see... I'm not very fast! I'll only slowyou down. Let me check for more eggs here!
"You're the most helpful employee I ever had Mr Long Arms!" is delighted Khessa, blowing a kiss to the roper "Eat in peace then, we'll be back as soon as we have cleared and we will return to Greenest all together, bringing Mr Sponge too to be put to question".
To the companions: "Where to now? Shall we check the kobold barraks?" and she seems ready to lead there, if nobody has a better destination in mind...
"Wait we be taking the drunk? Ok." Zale shrugs and looks down at the roper. "Do ye like Kobold r no. I don't blame ye if ye don't but if ye do we're gonna have a whole bunch in a little while." Zale also follows behind the dwarf as he walks around the pit.
"The drunk will only hinder us right now, Zale..." is suprised Khessa "Why taking him with us right now? Let's recover Mr Sponge later, as we come back for Mr Long Arms. Even if he wakes up, he is not going anywhere".
"Nixi prefers to have mercy..." remembers Khessa "and Eric thinks it can be useful to question him. So no, I do not plan to leave him as a bonus snack".
[Btw each egg weighs 150 pounds, I assume you leave them with the Roper for now]
Zale, you notice that there are no dead Guard Drakes. The Roper must have left them alive. Further more before you reach the area between the key on the wall and the caged stairs you smell something... somthing awful... Kobolds! 4 of them! Hiding behind the ledge in the pit to the east!
"Nixi prefers to have mercy..." remembers Khessa "and Eric thinks it can be useful to question him. So no, I do not plan to leave him as a bonus snack".
"It's not that I prefer mercy necessarily. Some people deserve to die. But we should be absolutely sure that they did the thing we think they did instead of killing people based on suspicion. If a magistrate determines that guy is worthy of death then I'll pull the gallows lever myself. But I'm not a fan of vigilantism, it's too easy to make a mistake. Heck, people could look at the things we've done and jump to the conclusion that we deserve death by misinterpreting just a few details. I would hope that they would check their facts a few times before sentencing us to extermination."
(Do we need to carry the eggs somewhere? Can't we just crack them open?)
...(Do we need to carry the eggs somewhere? Can't we just crack them open?)...
(We could crack them open - but some of us would see it as unneeded and merciless slaughter of innocent dragon hatchlings that have not still done any harm. Khessa - and at least Zale too - would prefer to try to find someone that can try to raise the hatchlings and instruct them to do good instead or evil. After all, dragons have enough intelligence to have free will, haven't they? Dragons raised by good people should be able to become good dragons, regardless of the color of their scales)
Zale shrugs again, "Alright, just wanted to get the plan strait.... Ugh. There be more Kobolds over there." She yells at them, "Hey! What are ye hidin there for! We are in charge now, so you gotta listen to us!"
'Oh, I did not spot them!' realizes Khessa, but she is quick to recover from her surprise and promptly tries to help Zale convince the kobolds.
"Indeed!" she turns to them, proudly showing the purple vest she is wearing "We took Frulam's place and role. Come here" she puts a hand on Zale's shoulder "and listen to my herald".

Roper's Perception check: 10 + 6 = 16
