As you prepare to set off on this new mission, without Telurion and Fizker, but with Eek, a young man walks up to you, limping heavily on his bandaged left leg.
I hear that you intend to follow the raiders and see where they’ve gone. I’d like nothing better than to come with you, but in this condition, I’d slow you down. In the midst of all this tragedy, there's no reason you would have heard about the fate of my master, Leosin Erlanthar, but it’s important you know. He is a monk from Berdusk. He disappeared last night, after we fought a particularly savage battle against raiders. A few others and I fought our way to the keep, barely. Leosin didn’t make it at all. We went back this morning to look for him, but all we found was his broken staff and this choker, which he always wore.
“Goodbye Fizker, ‘twas good know in’ ya. Hope ya find yer friend,” Zale waves to Fizker before addressing the man. “So ya want us to see if he’s actually dead, or if he just be captured? And if he be captured ya want us to free ‘im?”
Leosin has been investigating these raiders for months. I fear that he might have tried to infiltrate their group when they retreated, or worse, was captured and carried away as a prisoner. No one understands these bandits better than he does, and his knowledge will be invaluable against them. When you find their camp, please look for any sign that Leosin is there. One of my brothers has already departed for Berdusk to bring back help, but it will be many days before help arrives. Anything you can do before then would be a godsend.
"A monk from Berdusk?" Calvin repeats. He then thinks for a moment to see if he recalls any information about any order in Berdusk
(Religion: 16)
You remember that Berdusk is home to the Twilight Hall, a temple of Deneir. You also know that there are rumors abour the Harpers having some influence there.
Eric and Calvin both recognise it as a symbol of Deneir. It's a bit stranges, as he seemed to have disappeared as a divine entity since about 10 years ago. Calvin you know it's because Deneir tried to reestablish the stability of Mystra's Weave by writing the Metatext and thus, himself into it. It is said that he became part of the Weave.
And Zeminny's fame and Eek's fame will rise even more!
You make your way to the south of Greenest you find that the raiders’ path is easy to follow across the rolling grassland of the Greenfields. A wide swath of grass is trampled down, but it’s impossible to determine the raiders’ numbers precisely. The path only confirms what characters already know: there were a lot of them, and they were a mix of humans, kobolds, and trained reptiles.
(Anyone else wanna make a perceprion or survival check?)

The monk (who introduced himself as Nesim Waladra) descibes Leosin as a Half-Elf male with black hair and a small beard.

"do you and master Leosin share any symbol of your order?"
Zale puts the description of the monk to memory and waits for an answer to Eric's question.
Nesim shows you a symbol: a lit candle above purple eye with triangular pupil. (Religion check to recognise it) He looks a bit sad showing it.
I doubt that Leosin still carries it. Certainly not as an infiltrator or prisoner.

"We will find your friend and do our best to bring him back safely."
I have no doubt that you will, but I urge you to move quickly. Who knows what they are doing with the prisoners?

Calvin takes a look at the symbol to see if it is one he recognises.

He will then take a moment to relay the information he has recalled to the others.
