“Wow, I new Eek had it in him. It just goes to show you what some kindness and encouragement can accomplish.” Zeminny has a huge smile at his friend Eeks continuing good fortune.
” when we are out of town limits, I will show you what I found in the swamp hags shack. Can’t bring it out here, might cause some ruckus and troubles.”
"But saying that, you make me curious..." Khessa puts a hand on the halfling's shoulders, in a clearly conspiratorial way "If it's better not to take it out, so be it; but can you at least tell me in words what it is?"
“Alright.” She says as she takes off the leather and places it on the counter. Then she fishes out 47 coins and takes the dagger and the armor. She’ll have to get one of her companions to look at the rune later. She turns around and starts walking to the inn.
Hey! Sleepy head! I pay YOU 5 gold for the leather!
After you all have nice long rest without any scary dreams, Escobert finds you during breakfast.
Ah! Good, you're still here. I "spoke" with the Cultist. He didn't know much, but he did know that treasure looted from the Greenfields is headed north on the Trade Way, hidden in unmarked freight wagons that are part of the regular merchant traffic of that well-traveled road. The map you found indicates that the wagons were heading west to pick up the Coast Way road, where they would turn north to Beregost and Baldur’s Gate...
Zale blinks and looks at the ten gold. “Oh heheh. I suppose I should get some rest.” It still takes her a moment to register why he just tossed her ten gold, but then she nods finally putting the math together in her head. She drops the coins in her pouch and smiles. “Thanks for that. You coulda easily taken advantage o me there.” She waves and continues on her way. As she does she notices her companions huddled around a short figure. “Zeminny?” She says after recognizing him. Then she looks around, noting that Eek is not with him. “Heh glad you made it back. What be you sayin about causin a ruckus? I don’t know bout the rest o you, but I need a bit of a break before we get into any trouble.”

"Leosin, before traveling north to Elturel to meet Ontharr Frume," remembers Khessa, raising her head from the hearty breakfast (now almost finished) of boiled cabbage that she had managed to get prepared "told us to inform him if anything substantial was carried into or out of the cave or if a large force of the cult marched away... so I guess our first step should be to look for him in Elturel and inform him of all that has happened and that we discovered. Maybe he also discovered something, in the meantime... or maybe he can provide help. Anyway, we had better coordinate our efforts with his, instead of immediately following in the footsteps of the Cult".
occ: how many days of travel before reaching Elturel... could we borrow horses or join a caravan to get there?
(OOC: they told us before - Leosin bought horses and riding gear for the us to speed our journey to Elturel and the horses are being kept at the dealer’s stables until the we are ready to leave.)

(Lol I for some reason missed the Dm's last post.)
Zale looks pretty refreshed after a good night's rest. She also looks a lot more chipper than she did the previous morning. Finishing her meal quickly, she says, "That be a good idea Khessa. I'm ready when you all are." She stretches her arms then remembers something. "Oh, before I forget." She pulls out her new dagger. "Do any of you know what this rune be?" She puts it on the table then points at the marking.
(Um, what happened to the eggs and the roper? And the Kobold's for that matter?)
Zeminny will eat a huge stack of pancakes for breakfast, and looks much better having cleaned the swamp muck a bits of potatoes off him. He listens intently trying catch back up on the things he missed.

You left the eggs with Nighthill, the Roper in the cave (but you informed Nighthill about it) and the Kobolds are not around at the moment.
Arcana (if appropriate, to know something about this rune): 15
The dagger gives of a transmutation vibe. Looking closer at rune you'd know that this one is used to give the wielder a better feel for the blade and making the blade's edge much harder than normal steel. [It's a +1 dagger]

Khessa examines the rune carefully, performing also a ritual to better understand powers involved. Then she exclaims excited: "This rune is used to give the wielder a better feel for the blade and making the blade's edge much harder than normal steel! In other words, this weapon is magically enhanced! Gratz Zale!" she pats the dragonborn rogue on the shoulder.

Zeminny whispers loudly, “ it’s more amazing to see it than say it”
Eric looks surprised "Looking forward to seeing that then. shall we go?"
Hey! Sleepy head! I pay YOU 5 gold for the leather!
Regmar tosses you 10 gp.

"Indeed we should. it's seems like a plan for our incoming journey to me isn't?" the dwarf nods

Khessa examines the rune with interest, taking also the time to cast Detect Magic as ritual - to discover if the rune or the dagger are magic.
Arcana (if appropriate, to know something about this rune): 6
With the horses it would take about 6 days.
