The half-orc's face registers total bafflement at your words. "Lady," he stutters, "I honestly have no idea who you are. And I'm in a bit of a hurry, as you can tell." (The two of you have continued to run through the streets during this conversation.)
"I think you have me mixed up with someone else. Or maybe you want money? Or... oh no, are you pregnant?? By Gruumsh's left ball, you've got the wrong guy! I swear, I don't know you! The kid is not my son!"
“Yes,” agrees Tamryn, “I think jumping her is the way to go. Also we should probably lock the door this time,” smiling grimly at Akyan. “Then out the window and back to hq with whatever intel we’ve got.”
(OOC: is there actually a visible way to lock the door?)
Jhaartael takes the gold but left the rest, having no need of the armor or weapon.
Lyndaran may have taken more.
After looting and hiding the body, Jhaartael urges that they rendezvous with the others. He uses his connection with his familiar as necessary to scout ahead and get a read on what is going on near the warehouse and the way there.
"We should check in with Krysa. They may have need of your infiltration abilities and your blades. I shall bend my bow as needed."
(OOC: is there actually a visible way to lock the door?)
(OOC: Can I see Mina through the window?)
Yes, a relatively simple door lock is there. It probably could be broken through from the outside without too much effort if someone was really motivated.
Are you looking out the window? I'd say unless you are specifically looking at the rooftop across the street, she would be difficult to notice.
Before Liesel returns, Tamryn stands up and begins searching the desk for intel, drawers with false bottoms, etc. "I'll distract her, if you want to clock her from behind or grapple and gag her when she returns.
Slowing down, Kyrsa feels the heat go to her face. Well, at least she doesn't have to continue this conversation. Letting the orc run off, she slows and then turns around to go back towards the warehouse. To Akyan she says, "Alright, so should I head back towards our first mark? Can you give me a description of this person so I can try to stop him before he gets there?"
Akyan also stands up. He nods to Tamryn, "Alight, that's probably the best plan we've got." He walks to the side of the desk closest to the door, preparing to attack whoever comes in when given the chance.
"Forget it. Just come back. We are just going to try to kill the two higher ups and get out of here. I'm not sure how many other people are in this base, hopefully not to many. Is there anyone guarding the door? I'm not sure where the leader went."
"There is a dwarf outside," Kyrsa replies. "I'm heading back now...gods above that was...ugh this is why..."She stops herself from saying more, half forgetting that she had a mental link. "Sorry, forget that.... I'm heading back now, I'll see what I can do. Mina is trying to get to a window to help snipe from outside if she can. I'll deal with the dwarf if necessary. ...though it may be better if I just try to draw out whomever else is in there. ...Wait you don't know where the leader went?"
(So is the window open or closed? I'm hoping Mina can tell by moving and checking reflection? Also, Kyra, no one is currently guarding the side door when you get back.)
Mina continues to look in the window, waiting to see if anything looks hostile.
After looting and hiding the body, Jhaartael urges that they rendezvous with the others. He uses his connection with his familiar as necessary to scout ahead and get a read on what is going on near the warehouse and the way there.
The raven flies ahead, and notes that Mina is on a rooftop across the street, but none of Jhaartael's other allies are currently visible outside the building. Lyndaran and the high elf still have about a 10 minute walk to get back, if they really hustle they could do it in half that time.
A quick search of the desk reveals another ledger and another locked metal box. You position yourselves on either side of the door, but as Liesel enters she is prepared for a possible attack, so there is no surprise involved.
Mina:
The window, consisting of multiple small dirty glass panes in a wooden frame is partially open to let in the morning breeze. You can partially see inside the room, it appears that Tamryn and Akyan/Grignar are moving to either side of the door, which opens to reveal the female warrior you saw earlier, standing with a drawn blade.
Kyrsa:
As you turn and sprint back to the warehouse, you find that the side door is now closed, and the dwarf is nowhere to be seen.
Everyone:
(My apologies, but I can't locate all the initiative rolls for the current encounter. If you have already rolled, please re-post the result. Otherwise, please roll initiative.)
Lyndaran doesn’t take anything from the corpse of the duergar but he nods to Jhaartael when he says they must hurry back with the others.
“I do hope they do not do anything reckless while we are away, like trying to infiltrate the last safe house or attack them, they were going to rest while we were away right?”
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Seeing that the dwarf is no longer present, Kyrsa relays this to Akyan, "Never mind, the dwarf is gone. I can try to get in through the front door. Do you know if there is anyone just inside the door I should worry about?"
Jhaartael relays what he has seen via his familiar. "Seems they are up to something. The only one the raven could see was Mina - so I presume the others are already in the thick of things."
He calls back his raven and suggests they double-time it to see if they can help.
When the raven returns he will tie a short message to the raven's leg informing HQ that we might need some assistance at the warehouse. He then lets the raven go to report to HQ while continuing on to the warehouse with Lyndaran.
