Kyrsa covers her head with her hood, aware that her winter appearance is rather easy to spot...yet finding it difficult to change to another season at the moment. She stays close to Mina, still a little concerned for her friend even though the sea elf seems to be alright right now.
Looking around, she scans the area for anything that could be useful.
Following the rest and their precautions not to be recognized or if they are followed, Lyndaran says once they reach the old ship. “If he is here that means that he thinks the other Serpents had turned against him. Just in case he manages to run again I think it is better if we keep that charade” he hesitates “Do we know the name of other leader? Or maybe we can use the name of their boss. You know like “We had enough of you and your delusions of grandeur “ or “You tried to bite more than you can chew Out boss send you regards…”
(So, the group chose to go and make inquiries at the Southern docks, correct? So that makes current time 3pm)
As you travel to the docks, and later to the Slime District, you detect no signs that anyone is following you.
As you search the wharfs of Slime Bay, you encounter several retired vessels, all in various stages of decay and disrepair. At last, you spot the Nightmare, anchored at a rickety old dock. Mina recognizes this as a double-masted schooner, but one of the masts appears broken and leans to the side at angle. The sails are tattered and hang in shreds from the crossbeams. There appears to be no one within close range on the shore, dock or the ship itself. A wooden gangplank allows access from the pier to the main, open-air deck. Several thick ropes connect the fore and aft of the ship to wooden posts on the pier. Without a rowboat or other small craft, there does not appear to be another way to board the ship (other than jumping in the water and trying to climb up the side, I suppose). You detect no obvious signs of occupancy, no smoke, no visible lights (although it is still daytime), and no movement. The sails swing lazily in the sea breeze. The ship rocks slightly and creaks with the occasional gentle swells of the bay.
On closer inspection of the gangplank, Tamryn does detect a fine metal tripwire stretched across the end of the plank where it joins the ship at an opening in the railing. It can be stepped over carefully, or disabled with thieves' tools.
The gangplank allows entry to the portside of the main deck. Fore and aft are raised platforms (forecastle and aftcastle) accessible by wooden stairs. There are doorways in the wooden walls under each structure. There are two large masts on the main deck, and a large trap door which you presume leads down to the inner areas of the ship.

Mina looks at the shape of the rig and shakes her head. "This hasn't been sea worthy in quite some time. Shame, looks like it was quite a vessel once."
As Tamryn finds the trip wire, Mina pats him on the shoulder, "Nice one, Tam." and to Lyndaran, "Sure, I can certainly try. But to what you said before that, I don't care what we do with Aeric or how we approach him. I'll leave that up to the rest of you. All I ask is that I can ask him about my brother before we kill him." She says that last part very matter of factly, as if she assumes that is the end game here.
She then nimbly steps over the wire and attempts to track Aeric.
Akyan follows the group in silence keeping an eye out as best he can despite the sunlight.
Perception: 9
When Mina asks about keeping Aeric alive long enough to ask about her brother he replies, “That sounds reasonable to me. Let’s just hope he hasn’t become suicidal, grief can do that to some.”
The surface of the main deck is filthy, caked with soot from the nearby town, mold, and bird droppings from avians that perch in the rigging above. Clearly, no one has swabbed these decks for quite some time. Being a skilled tracker, however, Mina is able to detect a few signs that others would have missed. A slight depression here, an irregularity there, and the traces definitely match someone about the size and weight of Aeric. There are several traces leading across the deck, and entering the doors both fore and aft, and descending the trapdoor as well. The tracks leading down seem to be the most recent, but it is difficult to say for sure.
As Tamryn and Lyndaran investigate, trying to stay out of Mina's way, they discover that all of the doors on the main deck have tiny threads attached. They do not seem to be trap triggers, rather simple tell-tales if the doors have been opened or not. Someone apparently wanted to know if strangers were exploring his ship. The threads can be removed, but you're unable to replace them exactly as they were, i.e. if Aeric were to come by later, he would know someone had entered.

Crouched among some crates and old lobster cages, Jhaartael watches the gangplank across from him for a while. The smell of the sea seeping from the many ships fills his senses. Despite being a dry dock, the gulls still circle in numbers, finding plenty to still scavenge. Their cries turn his eyes upward. He sees Artaquetië circling among them. Sometimes the familiar lights upon an old, naked mast to rest. Another breeze clears some of the stronger, more industrial smells of the docks from his nose, cleansing with a saline purity. He feels the sea wind stir his hair.
An acrid smell returns and his thoughts turn to the mundane ship carcasses about him. He imagines the many crews that worked or voyaged on them. How many owners might each ship have had? Had a particular ship seen many distant shores or had it lived its life always returning to the same docks?
Thus, while standing his watch, Jhaartael finds his attention continually drawn to the vessels and the call of the sea upon his heart.
"To put that there" says Lyndaran in low voice "He has to be outside... so I do not think we need to lose time checking thses doors. Perhaps it is better to look below deck?" He asks to the others.
Mina points out the tracks she sees and as the others point out the other trap triggers, she nods in agreeance to Lyndaran's observation. "Yes, I think it makes sense to head down the trap door first. Anyone want to lead?"
Akyan nods to Lyndaran's words. "That's probably true, unless one of these rooms has more than one door. Either way I agree. We should leave these as they are for now, and look below deck."
When Mina asks if anyone wants to lead, Akyan steps forward, "I can." He replies as he examines the trap door, checking for any traps. If he doesn't find any, he will open the door and quietly make his way below deck.
As the boys start heading down below Mina stays on deck, bow notched with an arrow, standing at the ready. As Lyndaran heads down, she whispers, "Let me know when you're ready for me to head down, I'll keep an eye up here in case he isn't down there."

"That's good news to us I think" he whispers and takes his shortbow from the quiver and notches an arrow on it.
"Can you track him here?" he asks to Mina

Mina notices Kyrsa following her. She pauses for a moment, looks up at her friend and gives her a small smile. Then gets back to work.
