Kyrsa, Mina and Jhaartael need strength checks totalling 45 between the three of them (Kyrsa has already provided 20 of this) to lift the cargo bay door.
I still need initiative from Tamryn, Kyrsa and Jhaartael.
"I could use some help here," Kyrsa grunts as she tries to lift the door. "They need help down below. Sounds like we've got ourselves a ghost to fight."
Laughing maniacally, the Butcher's eyes glow redas he flies around the room, chasing the girl. Billows of mist begin to come from his mouth, nostrils, and the sleeves of his tattered coat, filling the room as he circles it, brandishing his ethereal cutlass (treat the mist as fog cloud spell). Despite your darkvision, the center of the cargo hold is soon heavily obscured, though you can still hear the bellowing of the pirate and Lorna's shrieks.
(Any attacks made now are at disadvantage, including the ones previously rolled; you must roll a second attack roll for each attack, and take the lowest).
(Kyrsa and Jhaartael are working on the door. If Mina helps and rolls at least 7 on her STR check, then the hatch will be held open as of Jhaartael's last-in-round action, although you may need something to prop it open so the three of you aren't stuck there holding it. If one of you leaves, then the hatch will be too heavy for the others to sustain open very long. The pulley-rope could probably be fastened to a mast securely with a Survival DC 10 roll, advantage if Mina does it due to her history.)
Akyan - 19- The drow conjures two psychic handaxes and tosses them into the fog, trying to guess the pirate's location by the sound of his voice. The howling and cackling momentarily cease, then resume.
Lyndaran - 17 -(restrained)- action pending manages to escape the clutches of the net
Mina - 15- pending does her best "noodle-arms" impression, causing the team-lift to be unsuccessful.
Kyrsa - 14- The warrior grabs the edge of the cargo hatch and gives a mighty heave, her muscles taut, her face strained.
Lorna- 13- pending
Jhaartael - 5 -mystically drained but physically robust, the wizard rolls up his sleeves and rushes to help Kyrsa lift the hatch.
Lorna the ghost bursts out of the fog cloud and flees directly toward Lyndaran, only recently emerged from his slimy coccoon. Rooted to the ground in surprise, he lets out a yelp as she reaches out with her two hands, attempting to forcefully open his mouth. He tries to fight back but his wildly swinging fists pass through her insubstantial form. She glances back to where the pirate must be and laughs chillingly, "I got the best one, Barty. Prepare to suffer!" And with that, her ghostly fingers pry Lyndaran's jaw open, and she dives headfirst into his mouth, her wispy form rapidly passing into his core.
The pirate's howling suddenly ceases, and the fog dissipates. "Why ye little... already? Ye didna say 'go' ye damnable cheater!" shouts the skull-faced specter, who with incredible swiftness flies straight at Akyan. "Open yer mouth, mangy dog!" he commands. Akyan clamps his jaw shut and mutely shakes his head. "Open up, er I'll find another orifice,"Barty growls threateningly. The drow's eyes widen, but he clamps both hands over his lower face. "By all the unholy hordes o' the deep!"Barty the Butcher swears, and he reaches out a finger and shoves it into Akyan's nose, all the way to the knuckle, and the rest of him quickly follows as a rushing plume of vapor all pouring in through the dark elf's schnozz. Akyan lets out a violent sneeze.
Lyndaran and Akyan turn to face each other, each one smiling, and reach for their weapons...
If it is possible, Tamryn will stop and attempt to grab the net and throw it over the two possessed thieves.
To hit (w/o proficiency?, w/ dex?): 15? (11 rolled plus 4 dex)
If the net was destroyed and is unusable due to Lyndaran's escape. he'll turn to the nearest door and try to get through as quickly as possible. He believes that finding Aeric (who he thinks is in there), will end this ghostly invasion.
Akyan pulls his rapier from it's sheath with a flourish, "Haha! I seems this one fit's me finely lass! He's got a right good blade! Now! Prepare to drown in the blood of yer mangy host ye vixen!"Dashing forward, the possessed elf jabs his blade towards Lyndaran.
To hit: 7 (Critical fail) (5 if without proficiency)

This was an oversized fishing net, too large and unwieldy for personal combat. The door appears to be barred from within, unfortunately, it does not seem like lockpicking will help here.

(Continue the round, please, Tamryn's up)
(Oh dear lol. How does this affect Akyan's mental link to Kyrsa?)
"Anyone...have...a crowbar?" Kyrsa huffs, straining against the weight of the trap door.
If it is possible, Tamryn will stop and attempt to grab the net and throw it over the two possessed thieves.

Excellent question. I am going to say the mental link is still intact. (with Akyan, not the ghost).
