Greth'g'karee steps back calmly (MA: 30' back). As he gains some distance from the enemy, he focuses on the Winter Wolf, whispering "Marked..." as he does (BA: Hunter's Mark). He then attacks with his longbow (A: Attack 18 - 10 piercing damage + 3 from Hunter's Mark + 2 piercing damage from swarm = 15 dmg total)
Naraeld bow his head and salutes as he leaves. Storing the list of tasks away in his head as he grabs what supplies and rations he can before leaving the Hall. He heads straight for Hlin, hoping to find her and see what information on the lottery.
25 - Sabethachannels her anger at the wolves, the situation, and the deceitfulness of the world into an attack, quick as lightening. Almost before the Wolf is aware of the danger, she scores a lengthy slash along its flank, followed by a jagged wound made by the horn on her head, made rotten by an aura of dark energy. The wolf huffs loudly in pain and Sabetha'sdark scarf gains a stripe of dark crimson.
23 - Mallifeva fires two shots from her crossbow at the winter wolf, both striking the creature in the chest and sinking deep inside. It begins to howl in pain and anger. The sled dogs howl along with it, their hackles raised in anger. She runs into the woods, trying to draw the great creature off. (Mallifeva, please roll either an intimidation or persuasion check, your choice or don't (see below)).
22 - Greth'g'karee moves between the tents and then, spinning around, draws an arrow and fires it at the great wolf, hitting it in a shoulder. As his arrow flies through the air, it is accompanied by several small, glowing motes of light and, when it strikes true, the motes themselves appear to stab into the creature as well.
21 - Sled Dogs 1 race forward from where they had been playing with Undil and harass the winter wolf, nipping at its heels and jumping up to bite at its belly and neck. One of the dogs, the lead dog that Mallifeva had spoken with earlier, is able to leap up and clamp its jaws shut on the neck of the wolf, tearing its arteries and crushing its windpipe. The creature drops over dead and the dogs surrounding it begin, again, to howl.
15-13 - Sled Dogs 2-4 rush toward the other winter wolf and begin to surround the creature.
(Aubin, you are up)
Naraeld:
You go to the Northlook Inn, as that is the tavern where Hlinis most likely to be found. You find her, brooding over an ale. As you sit down at her table, a mug of beer in your hand, Hlinsays, "The others died?"
"You're in a cheery mood Hlin. None to my knowledge, we just needed to take separate paths and mine brought me back here the soonest." He recounts the tale of Good Mead once more, focussing on Sephek's interactions but including enough other parts for context, answering any questions she has as he finishes. "I feel like my minstrel's duties are satisfied for the year, the number of times I've now recounted this. You promised gold for his death... Blood money which I am loathed to accept. Should my comrades come for their share then I will tell them to seek you out. Consider your next round or two on me." So saying, and with other business firmly in his mind, Naraeld prepares to depart the Northlook.
As he does, he remembers the request of Sabetha and Eva, the Chwingas that Moonshadow had played with, and that Dannitha had asked them to find. He looks about for her aware that should Mallifeva approach the woman, the situation could be come more complicated...
(Would Naraled know if the lantern wss recovered from Eva's body, or blown apart in the explosion?)
Initially surprised by Mallifeva's attack, Blackberry quickly sees that she had the right of it. Silly rabbit, he scolds himself mentally, Someone claims to have been a slave and you just throw all caution to the wind. You must stop trusting so easily...
The harengon had been pondering in the back of his mind a new design for his fire-spitter, and he rapidly decides to construct a prototype and put it to the test. Using his tinker's tools, he spends his action constructing a tiny, handheld eldritch cannon.
12 - Aubin's magical blast goes awry, blasting a hole in a nearby tree.
12 - Blackberry's sudden inspiration console his opportunity to do anything at this moment, but at the end of his turn, he has what appears to be a tiny, siege weapon.
5 - The winter wolf, enraged at the sudden onslaught of dogs (and Sabetha), takes a deep breath and exhales a cloud of icy mist over several of the sled dogs, three of whom are immediately frozen in place.
4 - Undil cowers among the tents.
Round Two:
(Sabetha is up; I will be sure to post daily during combat. I apologize for recent flakiness)
Sabetha's voice is grim and methodical as she moves to flank the surviving Winter Wolf opposite the remaining dogs. Her pale green eyes glitter coldly.
"Kidnappers and deceivers. You betray the Moonmaiden Selune, to whom you should raise your voice in worship as your smaller, honorable kin do."
"Instead you serve the Frostmaiden, knowingly or not. Understand this. We will honor the faithful dogs you have slain, but you and your vile sibling lying there dead in the snow, we will behead and burn. Then we will leave your ashes to free the children you have stolen if we can."
She flips her wrists and brings her longsword up and under the Winter Wolf's haunch, then spins to gore it twice more with her Narwhal Horn, stumbling at first and lunging wide before piercing the wolf's side on her second attempt. She circles so the wolf's icy breath cannot hit other targets if it hits her.
"Attack me, you dishonorable dog. Me. Or are you so craven that you only assault innocent animals far weaker than you?"
Sabetha Round 2: Action: versatile d10 longsword attack, bonus action: Flurry of Blows (last Ki point), all with advantage from flanking:
Longsword 2-handed (versatile) to hit: 25 Damage: 9 slashing
Narwhal Horn attack 1 to hit: 11 (rolled a 3 and a 1 on the dice with advantage) Damage: 7 magical piercing
Mallifeva can hear the commotion to the west. Was that Sabetha's voice? But they cannot see what is happening. Nor can they determine precisely where it is happening. This frustrates Mallifeva—and makes Mallifyr, the emotionally unstable one of the two, furious. She seeks an outlet...
...Undil's cowardice. Mallifyr's blood boils. Before Eva has time to stop her, Mallifyr marches across the snow, her heavy crossbow trained on the whimpering thug, whispering as she goes, "Now, I mark you as my quarry." Face to face with Undil, the crossbow bolt drawing blood from the man's brow as she pushes against it, Mallifyr confronts him, "Remind me, you worthless craven, what use we have for you. A wrong answer earns you my barb."
[Bonus action: reassign hunter's mark from the wolf to Undil. Action: Ready—If Mallifyr doesn't like Undil's answer, she fires her heavy crossbow.]
Round Two: (Please post the round of your action when you post individually)
25 - Sabetha chastises the Winter Wolf. Not only do her words cut, but her blade and horn do as well. The wolf growls and turns toward the monk.
23 - Mallifeva stalks over and threatens Undil. He screams and says, "I'm good with the dogs! I'm good with the dogs! Greth'g'karee said I'm part of the tribe! HELP!"
Satisfied with Greth'g'karee's, if not with Undil's, answer—and marginally back under Eva's sway—Mallifyr relents. She lowers her heavy crossbow and prepares follow in Greth's wake.
