Valeria watches Iravon and nods, the message clear to her. She wasn't sure the creature needed to be dealt with right now but she wouldn't question the tactical decisions made by their military expert. Hence she ascends, gracefully carried by her winged boots, to a fairly high altitude (say 30 feet above the causeway.) then looking over at Mae to time her magical attack with the bards, hoping Iravon and Kiersa was ready to face the beast as it surely would survive their opening volley of attacks.
Mae followed as gently and quietly as she could, slowly pulling her instruments to her side but holding them fast until they were needed. She took a long look at the snake like creature, hoping it was fairly content to keep sunning itself as they passed by. What were the chances this was a friendly creature? Not good probably, but she supposed there was always a first time. Really, the last thing they needed was to have a spat with a snake before running into the miscreants surely waiting for them at the Keep.

By the time Kiersa has caught your attention and pointed out the danger to all, the last thing you all see of it is a serpentine shape slipping quietly into the murky water. A few ripples disturb the water around the causeway.
The party goes first! The creature is nowhere to be seen, though some ripples in the water around the causeway indicate movement, but you cannot tell where exactly from to properly aim an attack.

Valeria hovers and scans the surface of the water from her vantage point, ready for the snake to attack at any moment. "Let's see if we can bait you out." She says, loud enough for the others to hear, then touching her amulet with one hand while tracing a pattern in the air with the other. The next moment an image of herself appears at the surface of the water where she last saw the serpentine form.
Seeing Valeria begin to engage the creature, Mae quickly searches around her for a small rock or piece of wood perhaps. (Perception 18) Hopefully finding something suitable (preferably a small rock) her whole body begins to glow brilliantly for a moment and then the brightness is sucked into the rock which begins to glow as bright as the sun. (Casting Light) She then takes aim in the general vicinity where the snake went into the water, hope the bright light will shine in the murky water and help illuminate where the creature went. (Athletics 12)
Kiersa quickly grabs her light crossbow as she scans the surface for any sign of where it might show up. She keeps the crossbow at the ready, firing if the creature shows itself. (READY Action)

(Nice thinking with the illumination!) (Giving Iravon the ready action to attack when the creature shows itself.)
Sure enough, a slithering shape can be see in the water where Mae cast her enchanted stone.
Followed by several more. A moment later, the creature shows itself.
Five snake-like heads with multiple rows of razor sharp teeth emerge from the water in a flurry of darting and swaying snaps and snarls. It is located on the left side of the Causeway in the map image, in the deeper water section where it faintly says -15, about at the midpoint of the bridge.
Kiersa sends a bolt flying at the creature!
Iravon takes two mighty swings with his flail!
Attack: 16 Damage: 10

After Kiersa takes her shot, the creature lashes out with three heads, targeting Mae, whose stone drove it from the water in a panicked attack! It then sends a head each at Kiersa and Iravon!

Jorr ducks and runs for cover towards the opposite end of the bridge, using his action to dash, before stopping on the safety of terra firma and calmly loading his crossbow, setting several bolts down to prepare for future turns.
Valeria's eyes goes wide as the five snake-like heads with multiple rows of razor sharp teeth emerge from the water and starts to tear into her companions at the causeway. "Mae, fall back to safety!" She desperately calls out to the bard as she is beset by no less than three of the heads, then turning her gaze at the five snake-like heads calling upon the divine powers of her goddess to send a fiery star from the skies roaring down to blossom with a low roar into an explosion of flame engulfing the snake-like heads in a divine inferno. "Feel the wrath of the Moonmaiden." Valeria calls out from the skies.
(Cast flavored Fireball 27 using 3 sorcery points to heighten the effect giving the hydra (?!) disadvantage on it's Dex save 15 for half damage, centered to catch the five heads.)
If possible she would then fly down to try to airlift Mae off the causeway and off to safety. (Note that the image is still there at the surface of the water.)

Action
Five heads?! What was this monstrosity? Iravon lashes out with his flail, striking the creature with two resounding crunches. The second strike Iravon empowers with his holy wrath against all things which would prevent him from fulfilling his purpose: Divine Smite 9 radiant dmg.
Reaction
As the creature lunges open jaws towards Kiersa, Iravon tries to knock the head away with his shield: Protection (the attack against Kiersa is at disadvantage), ignoring the head which turns to strike him, as its teeth skitter off his chainmail.

(OOC - if she's still hit, Kiersa will use her Reaction to cast Shield, raising her AC to 23 until start of her next turn. Waiting for result of Iravon imposing Disadvantage.)
Mae waves of Valeria, feeling too close to the monster and its many heads, instead opting to whip out her flute, give a short trill and hum something arcane, feeling her wounds close up some. (Casting Cure Wounds for 6 points of healing).
Either way, Mae will then shout to Kiersa in a sing-song fashion, blessing her with her bardic inspiration, making a glittering musical note swirl around her.

That's still a hit! Kiersa is nearly saved from a nasty bite, but it manages to catch her arm after getting knocked off course by Iravon's shield!
Iravon's attacks, along with the smite damage, severs one of the five heads! It flops back, disappearing into the murk...
