ooc: hey Madclergy, welcome back! ah, it is true: there is another hallway on the left reachable without crossing the bridge, let's go there then , shall we?
The group decides to avoid the crevasse. There are two separate sets of stone steps, leading down. One in the southwest wall of the cavern, another in the northwest. You entered this area from the tunnel to the south. Which steps will you descend?
"We can take a couple goblins, especially if there's someone sufferin inside!" Stonegrin's voice was serious, and gruff, he couldn't stand the thought of someone suffering to a goblin.
You open the door into a barracks that contains four roughly built wooden bunks, with heaped-up blankets and dirty dishes scattered about. A strong smell of unwashed bodies and rotten meat fills the air. Three tall, furry humanoids are lounging among the mess, barking orders at a sad little goblin that demeans itself for their amusement. Your sudden appearance causes the goblin to faint.
The single, pathetic goblin falls unconscious at the sight of the party.
OOC: Holiday monsters got me, sorry for my absence. To confirm my suspicion. We don't have to cross a bridge to get to the store rooms?
The crevasse cuts across the room diagonally. To get to the storeroom to the north, you'd have to cross somehow.
OOC: but there are areas we can get to without crossing? Or no?
Areas to the left/west do not require you to cross.

Stonegrin points to the stairs nearest to them (Southwest?) and makes his way toward them, checking over his shoulder that the others are following.
Mitsu follows, glad they've finally decided which way to go.
And that's all I have to say about that.
You descend the stairs with ease. To your left is a door, to the right a hallway leading to yet another door.
Meleager looks at the door and gets also the ear close to it to listen if he hears anything from beyond it
Perception 18
You hear several gruff voices issuing demeaning commands in the Goblin tongue. You hear a higher pitched voice whimpering in response.
"What do you hear lad?" Stonegrin says with his axe and shield at the ready.
Meleager replies whispering
"Damn goblins...and somebody else whimpering"
ooc: @DM: is Meleager able to tell how many goblin voices, roughly? 2/3/12/100?

you can tell there are more than two gruff voices, but fewer than 5. only one is whimpering.
Mitsu nods, smiling slightly. His hands become shrouded in dark energy once more.
And that's all I have to say about that.
Stonegrin opens the door, mentally readying himself for whatever might be on the other side.
