Molly, the stout one of this little pack, snorts and sneezes... Seeing Sam in trouble she looks around for a path then charges to Sam's defense! (I *think* her 40' movement gives her enough room to get to Sam's left and adjacent to the one ghoul there...). Charging after the ghoul, Molly lowers her head and attacks!

Vin and Neferox both feel the intrusion into their minds, and feel the pain that comes with it. The compulsion to attack their allies is strong, but Neferox snarls and shakes her head, before glaring at the shadow creature that had attacked her.
Vin has a harder time with the mental intrusion though. He looks to Serafina with narrowed eyes and he starts to take a step towards her. But then his mind somehow clears, and he stands for a moment wondering what had happened.
Vin manages to regain his focus and fire off another pair of eldritch blasts at the hovering shadow creature, just as Neferox closes the distance between herself and it, leaping towards her adversary with hungry jaws.
Vin then calls to Maka to strike out at the ghoul. Unfortunately, despite their despair and shadowy form, Maka's stomach is turned by the stench of the Ghoul. She does attempt to strike out as bidden though.

As Molly tears away from the Ghoul she is in melee with it bites out at her, tearing away at the summoned Fae creatures flesh it disappears in the ghoul's mouth (22 to hit, 17 piercing dam)
Vin's first eldritch blast once again tears at the strands of shadows that make up this creature and it screams out in reaction. (Every creature in a 30ft radius (Neferox, Vin and Barnaby) make a DC14 Wis save or take 10 psychic damage and become stunned until end of next turn, 5 psychic and no stun on a save)
As Neferox approaches to fell the shadow creature she hesitates as the scream tears through her, but she just manages to shake it off and bites completely through the shadow creature which unravels into strands of shadow which dissipate into nothing.
(Awaiting a health report on Molly to determine if one of the ghouls in front of Sam is killed)
As Molly makes her charge she doesn't quite make it to Sam before the wounds catch up with her and she begins to break up into notes of incorporeal light which then Floats quickly back into Sam's rust coloured bag.
With expert precision, using her inky eldritch appendages, Elthana successfully and succinctly fells all three remaining ghouls. The battle is momentarily quiet.
Sam looks back at Vin when he asks if everyone is ok and sneers a bit, but gives no other response. It is obvious Sam has taken some hits but he's never been one to actually admit such. Sam pulls the last fuzzy ball out of his bag and tosses it to the side, it lands and shakes and stretches itself out into a baying goat. Not a Giant Goat like the recently departed Molly... just... a goat. Sam sneers again but shrugs. He directs Barnaybe to one side of the portal, the goat to the other, and he stands more of less in the middle... All doing their best to stay out of the thorns.
Once positioned Sam takes a moment to catch his breath... Take a Second Wind, so to speak, regaining his maximum of 16 HP...
(So Barnaby pretty much where he is, Sam centered, li'l goat on opposite side from Barnaby...)
"Alright, we're doing good, everyone,"Gewyn says. "Sam, catch."He tosses his water skin to Sam. "Be ready to hit them with everything you've got, Vin. When the next group comes through, let's be ready to reposition quickly if necessary."
BA: Bardic Inspiration to Vin
Held BA: Mantle of Inspiration (Free movement as reaction, 8 temp hp to Gewyn, Vin, Muir, Sam, Elthana)
Muir still concentrating walks ans stands behind the construct Gewyn vacated and with his hood up and hides (15 stealth). "Well done everyone. Be ready for whatever comes out next. If that was the first wave, perhaps they were testing our defenses and resolve. I will watch and heal you"
Elthana back up till she is 15' from the spike growth. She readies her eldritch maul attack for creature that comes through that portal and gets within 15' of her.
She doesn't respond to anyone, but nods at Gewyn for the extra hp (Thanks!), then focuses on the portal.
Serafina also readies an attack and waits for the next hostiles to approach. Not having to wait long the gate bubbles and spits out zombies who come droning in one after another, 3, 5, then 7... 9 zombies in total dragging their undead feet over the spikes undeterred even as two of them to the front become bloodied.
Serafina strikes out and fells one of the bloodied ones directly.
Everyone who had a readied action can take that first and then post their round actions additionally. Then the enemies will be up!
Little Goat rams the Zombie that is most directly adjacent to them...
Ram Attack: 11to hit for 2damage. Goat power!
Barnaby the Bear has no foes within reach and had been warned about the spike growth so he roars in frustration and shifts over next to Sam. With nothing else to do they hold their attack in case an opponent gets within 5' of them.
Readied Claw Attack: 13to hit for 8damage, if applicable...
Sam reluctantly drinks his Potion of Speed (Bonus Action - Haste for 1 minute) and tosses the bottle aside. Wincing a bit at the taste he then activate his armor for the first time causing the Earthencore Plate to seem to thicken a bit, dirty a bit... With each movement there is little puffs of dirt that trickle off. (Cast Stoneskin on Sam as an action) and then with the extra action from Haste he makes one weapon attack on the bloodied zombie right in front of him.
Maul Attack: Natural 20 for a 30to hit and for 38 bludgeoning damage (two 1s rerolled due to Great Weapon Fighting) plus 5more from Giant's Might and with the Crusher feat the zombie, if not already mush, is moved 5 towards Barnaby...
(I actually assume that Zombie is dead but if not I believe it takes spike growth damage from the forced movement and may or may not be in range for Barnaby's readied attack...)
Vin once again releases a pair of eldritch blasts, against the one next to Sam that isn't mush, before directing Maka to attack.
He then turns to Neferox and something passes between the pair, followed by Neferox reluctantly loping off to fill the gap left by Barnaby to the left of the portal. She gets ready to bite at anything that comes close.
Maka obediently strikes out with her icy clawed hand.

Elthana's first blast isn't enough to fell the zombie in melee with maka but her second (crit) strike smothers it into a fine paste leaving only it's legs to slump to the ground, moving forward she strikes and bloodies the middle most zombie.
Sam's maul obliterates the zombie in front of him without issue. (Crit)
Both of vin's eldritch blasts hit their mark, the closest zombie being the zomboy directly in the middle of the group, and it falls to the ground covered in holes.
With no close zombies, Maka moves to the one in melee with the goat and as it gives a shunt, maka swings out and bloodies the undead creature.
The entire first line of zombies are felled along with the one in the middle, only five zombies remain, of which the one closest to the goat is bloodied.
After giving his speech, Gewyn runs up and vaults over Molly from one side to the other, taking a quick stab with his sword as he does. (Mantle of inspiration in effect)(If the zombie dies, Gewyn will back up 10 feet)

Barnaby Wis Save - 17 - not stunned!
Elthana sees that Gewyn was unable to fell the ghoul so she sends out her eldritch claws to attack it as well.
Attack: 11 + 3 bardic inspiration, Damage: 9 + 1 force damage
If that takes it down, she moves to shoot her inky tendrils between Serafina and Sam, but stays if it doesn't.
Attack: 18, Damage: 9 + 2 force damage
Attack: 25, Damage: 11 + 3 force damage
