Veeshal, keeping in character, prods Sorrow (gently) with the sword and barks at her in orcish ‘Move faster, Witch (recalling that word from a previous convo) indicating to keep heading North.
Millwater takes the drag while wearing the foul smelling rags, including his face. He drags a bundle like it's heavy and filled with loot. Hoping to generate interest in the loot, he keeps about 30' back from the others.
Keeping watch of the rear, he looks forward now and again.
Muttering and spitting and generally being as disgusting as a goblin should be, Footchomper moves with the group. He stays on the other side of the prisoner, dragging the rusted sword on the ground as they travel.

“Can you tell me the difference between a witch and a wizard?" "Sure, a wizard is what they call you when they want to hire you, and a witch is what they call you when they're getting ready to run you out of town.” SunWolf replied ― Barbara Hambly, The Witches of Wenshar
Everyone continues along the new path that leads you more northerly. As it is getting close to nightfall the trees give way as you round a bend giving you a broad area of grass that leads downhill and to the rivers edge. The trail you are following goes north to the river and then bends to the right and behind the rise of the tall hill you are walking beside. All you see is grass water and two hills on this side of the river that you are between currently. Across the river you can see the hills continuing as well as the assorted mixture of trees. You do not see any path across the river.
"Keep following path?" Footchomper asks gutturally. "Me hungry, lots."

Millwater continues with acting like he has a heavy load, keeping a watchful eye for movement in the party's rear. After cresting a hill, he stumbles and recollects the loot. Keeping an eye just over the hill to see if anyone rushes to catch up with the party from behind.
As everyone makes it down the hill and arrive at where the path curved you now see it continuing beside the river. Millwater bringing up the rear does not see anyone behind them. (If you wish to try and see or spot something in your post include a D20 roll or you will not see anything.) The wide well established continues as you follow it beside the river. Ip ahead you can see and hear a large waterfall. The path you are following is headed straight towards the waterfall.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Feeling a bit paranoid, Millwater hangs back and fusses with the loot. Before picking it back up, he heads back up the hill, sneaking on his belly to get a good long look and sniff the air for worgs.
Footchomper trudges along, uncaring about anything but his hunger.

As you get closer to the waterfall you can see the trail curves around behind the waterfall. You can also see the trail on the other side of the river emerging from behind the waterfall. Festoon and Millwater saw movement by the waterfall. They tell everyone that is on the minds of most. "The waterfall is the perfect place for a trap or ambush." seeing the movement you all prepare to see if this cover of hostages will pass the test to infiltrate the goblins cave.
Side note. You are entering the more mountainous region. The trail rises and falls as it follows a valley of sorts. The sheer drop of the waterfall looks to be a good 1,000 feet making anyone caught by the falling water knocked off balance or worse.
Footchomper continues along quietly, letting boss-chief-person do any talking.
(Mouser carefully makes sure everyone knows about the hidden sentries as they approach)

Millwater is in the rear acting like a bag of loot is heavy. Giving his rump a shake now and then to make the bag of coins jingle. His hackles rise beneath the dirty rags as he approaches the waterfall and all he can smell is water.
Veeshal nods his head slightly then repeats the command to move faster, hoping the disguise is enough to get them admitted into the compound and not killed outright underneath the waterfall.

Sorrow roars as if in pain, then does a half hearted jerk at the rope and a stumble, cursing in orcish under her breath.

Are we going to use a torch in this scenario or just go in blind? Pun intended :P
