Dawn and Rockcrusher clear the crates and barrels away from the door, while Deekin attempts to play some encouraging melodees. Unfortunately, kobold music is rather different from what the others are used to and it starts to get on the others nerves after a few minutes. After a few minutes, the door is clear and Escobert walks forward and tries to unlock the door. It hasn't been used in a very long time, and he has to try a couple different keys and fiddle with them a bit before finally getting it unlocked. He pulls open the door and turns to the group, holding up another key. "You'll need this when you get to the other end, there's a locked grate across the exit to ensure people couldn't walk right in."
How wide is tunnel? Can 2 people walk side by side or is it single file? Matching order of Rockcrusher, Deekins, Pops, and Dawn. If anyone else is joining us we can add them in the back or if there is space they can join me up front.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
You continue down the tunnel to reach the grate. Unfortunately, Rockcrusher and Maythus fail to notice the nest of rats a few yards before the grate until Rockcrusher steps in it, angering it's occupants, which boil out of the nest around Rockcrusher and Maythus.
(Roll Initiative. Initiative for 2 swarms of rats: 8. Anyone that rolls higher feel free to take your turn. There's 1 swarm each in Rockcrusher and Maythus spaces.)

No one has been in this tunnel in years. Maybe decades or more. It's pitch black beyond the bit of light filtering in from the cellar.
Pops cast light on the shield as he keeps up the rear.
I got alot a doods
Dawn goes to the edge of the light and using his darkvision he checks that nothing has made the tunnel home in the last several years. Perception 18
You see nothing more than cobwebs within the limits of your vision.
Did Maythus join us?)

You make your way to down the tunnel. After a short time, you see a the exit grate at the edge of the torchlight ahead.
(Rockcrusher and Maythus give me percpetion checks since you're the two in front.)
