Don't give me any ideas ;) Payback can be nasty. However, I believe in gaining minor superpowers on a crit and outlandish punishments for natural 1s, so Crispy can have an extra Action this turn.
Along this train of thought, Elon's attack completely breaks the Lizardman and his bonus damage is tranferred as a second hit against another lizardman (randomly selected as #5).
I typically modify instant crit/fail based on the action performed. Knowledge checks get Monster-Manual-level insight (within the chsracter's knowledge, of of course), attacks will typically be crippling (>50%hp) or death (<50%), initiative is an extra first attack, etc.

Elon and Taliesin are both in melee range (lizardmen and leader/shaman, respectively)
I would say they are good and distracted by your allies where if four suddenly fell from the portal, they wouldn't be able to pile on you like they did to thr first.

Oh wow, that's a horrible terrible first attack roll, but that damage is too good to pass up. Using luck point: 1. I'll risk it and use another luck point: 12
Wait, how did the 2 re-rolls come out lower than the nat1? We could just count the sneak attack as the bonus initiative attack and deal with the consequences of the base-damage crit-fail ;P

So the feat "Lucky" is a pool of 3 points I can use per long rest. I used all three points, which gave me 3 new rolls to "pick from" to replace the nat1 I rolled originally. Obviously, I choose the nat20 roll instead.
Let's see the extra damage. If he survives, I think he'll have a new target.

By rules, all damage dice are rolled a 2nd time on crits. 25 to start, just re-roll and add. The grand total of that attack will be added to the 11 from the off-hand and initiative-bonus attack.

Crispy leaps from the portal and peppers the leadet with a barrage of small bolts. The assault causes the behemoth to step away from Taliesin, freeing the bard from the pinning spear (I had an Action prepared for when/if Taliesin stood up, but not anymore).
Two lizardmen lunge for Elon after his assault on the group's flank:
Lizardman1: Spear (8, for 3 damage) and Spiked Shield (8, for 7 damage)
Lizardman5: Spear (24, for 4 damage) and Spiked Shield (20, for 4 damage). The spear bites deep, inflicting another 6 damage.

Shaman3 and Shaman 1 cast Conjure Animals for a pair of Giant Constrictor Snakes (Initiative 3, 10)
Lizard2 and Lizard7 move toward Elon as he moves away. They cannot keep up with the swift monk, but they are able to cover the difference by throwing their spears: 7 for 4, 20 for 3

Solomon will slide down his rope. Runes flare on his armor, “Let’s see how you all like another fireball!” He will use his Reckless Casting feature to burn a 5th Level spell slot (4 or 2, selecting 4). His armor emits a low drone, “Deploying Odin Flame.” A brief look of confusion traces across his face, “Odin Flame?” as Flame Strike is cast for 23 fire and radiant damage or have on a dc 17 Dex save. Solomon will try to get as many lizardfolk in a radius of 10 feet.
The leader turns to see a brilliant flash and ignites in flames. His eyes sear as a chorus of hissing and screaming follows. One lizardman was too focused on the fleeing monk to notice and takes the full impact.
Also, did Crispy live up to her nickname? I believe she dropped down, but I don't recall seeing movement. Also, the description of Flame Strike calls for "all creatures" and does not specify the caster is exempt. What say the masses? Barbeque the caster as well (DEX pending)?

Yes, however being invisible with a 21 Stealth check, you could've snuck past almost anything short of a shield wall.
