After Tap greets the women he gives Thor and Kalso some serious side-eye, the likes of which can only be given by a being with an eye on each side if its head.
He then finishes dragging his chest onto the skiff with the help of the others. When the chest is secured on the boats, he moves to the fore of the skiff and perches where the figurehead would be, eager to set off.
Zachariah pulls at the neck of his new leather breastplate as he steps onto the skiff. He sits at one of the oars and waits for time to leave. While waiting, he applies a layer of bug repellent and takes a drink of water.

Kaslo shrugs. "You guys never asked. And besides, we needed to bring the rain catches anyways for when there is no water available to purify. Technically speaking, creating water is very different then purifying it. Much more demanding of our divine capabilities." He furrows his brow at the Kenku. "I can't tell if he was giving me the stink eye or not"
Seeing Zachariah apply the insect repellent, Kaslo does the same, then also takes a draw from his water skin.
Greggor approaches, clad in his new leathers, the fitting taking longer than planned.
Greggor takes in the whole scene. He smiles at the children playing and fishing. His smile fades as he is reminded of his lost family. Greggor had taken his own son, Mikael, fishing on the rivers and streams near his home. He would have been 10 by now... Clearing the sorrows of the past from his mind, Greggor removes his pack and greets the company.
”Good day comrades.”
Seeing the canoe is already filling up, Greggor smiles at Zee, shrugs, and loads his gear into the skiff. He then applies bug salve, and gets ready to make way.
Thor has applied his bug salve (I assume since we haven't left its not important about rations and water yet. but if it is important, Thor drank enough water and ate before setting out.)

Zee waits for Ahkmenos, Thor, Evoril, and Krav to enter the canoe before she gets in the helm position and shoves off into the bay. She gives Eku the thumbs up and looks over her shoulder. "Alright dogs. Put yer backs into it. Row, Row, Row/ Yer scurvy pirates you."Zee begins to giggle as she picks up the oar and begins rowing.
Undril fastens the three chests to the skiff as best as possible as Kaslo, Tap, Zachariah, Greggor, Vart, and Eku all take-up positions. Eku hears Zee's words and chuckles. "I won't be calling you lot a group of scurvy pirates but we do need to begin rowing. I will steer in the back. Once we are out of the bay and enter the river we won't have to row as much. But until then, Start rowing. Zee and I talked about this after you left this morning. She will take the point in the canoe while we stay behind. She is going to lead us to the spot where she would have to pull over to shore to get to her hidden tomb. Then you will have to make a choice of what you wish to do."
The Skiff pulls alongside the canoe and after a few minutes, you start to get the hang of it and begin rowing in unison. Zee winks at you as she looks over at the skiff.
(I wonder who she is winking at)
"I am sure Eku has told you what we planned. I just wanted to say that I appreciate everything you guys are doing for me and I will do everything in my power to make sure you succeed in your quest. I will take the point and guide us up the river, Eku will be helping me if need be. Good luck everyone." Zee looks back at her crew in the canoe and scowls. "Yer yeller belly lubbers, per yer, back into it or I'll keelhaul ya."
You make good time throughout the day as you hug the coastline. As you look out into the distance you notice for the first time how massive the jungle is. It's thick green vines and trees reach out and cover the landscape. You look back at Port Nyanzaru and see that the walls that are against the jungle are covered with vines. It looks as though the Jungle is trying to reclaim the port city.
As it gets towards early evening you spot nine Dimetrodons sunning themselves on the beach. They watch as you row by and one of them gets up and begins hissing/roaring at you.
The Dimetrodon is close to 15 feet in length and it's body is 500 pounds of muscle.
"When it hisses like that it means for you to stay away," Eku mutters as she steers well clear of the Dimetrodons. "They can come in the water but not that far. They aren't swimmers. But they were making a challenge to you and would charge you if you made any aggressive movement towards them."
The rest of the day goes without incident and you make it to the entrance of the river where it connects into the bay. Zee continues on for another hour so you are now completely in the river and out of the Bay before pulling to the shore. Your whole body aches from the rowing and you aren't used to that much physical activity in a long time. Your bones are weary and all you wish is to have a meal and sleep.
Undril begins to set up camp with practiced ease, as Eku pulls out a fishing kit from her backpack and begins to fish.
Undril yells to Thor, "Hey Thor go see if you can find some wood for the fire would you?"
Zee pulls out her bow and stalks into the jungle looking for food.
(What do you guys want to do? It is roughly 6ish and the sun is setting.)
Kaslo stretches his aching back then finishes whats left in his first waterskin.
Watching Eku with her fishing tackle reminds him that he too brought fishing gear. He roots around in his bag and pulls out the floats and lures, grabs his rod and goes to join Eku.
"Mind if I join ye? I use to do a lot of fishing back where I'm from."
Tap wearily grabs his backpack and hops off the skip. Glad to be done rowing, Tap staggers over to where Undril is setting up came, saying "Lit us not do dat again," in Greggor's accented voice. He considered setting up his tent, but was too tired to put in the effort to dig it out of his chest back on the skip, bring it down to the camp, and figure out how to set it up. Instead, he laid out his bed roll and made sure his insect repellant was evenly applied. He make a quick meal out of a ration, not having the energy to forage for food like the others, and washed it down with some water.
Summoning the last of his energy, he set up his rain catcher while watching one of the guides do it, then laid on his bedroll and quickly fell asleep.
I forgot to mention it, but Tap pays Eku her 150GP 30 days up front when they meet at the port before leaving. I updated the party treasury to reflect that and the 5x healing potions. Let me know in Discord or the DnD Beyond PM chat if you want me to devy up the remaining gems.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Thor nods at Undril and will begin to scour the immediate area for some wood to build a fire. Before heading out, he drinks some water out of the jugs he brought and sets up his rain catcher so he may have some water tomorrow. Thor also casts Light on his warhammer to help him see in the setting sun. His hammer starts to glow with white light, bright and vibrant. "This heat is sweltering... Going to be drinking a lot of that."
Thor, Kaslo, seriously? You can do that and didn't tell us...?
I say we should definitely keep the chests on the big boat. It'll be harder to capsize and it'd be a shame if we lost our gear.
Ahkmenos walks over to Zee.
May I accompany you in the canoe? I'd like to talk with you more if you have the time.
Kaslo looks at the skiff, then at the canoe. "I will go in the skiff if that's alright"
"Kaslo I think that's a great idea, I will ride in the Canoe. Spread out the healers."

Ahkmenos drank all the water and food he needed to for the day before he met up with everyone.
Elvoril applies insect repellent before sitting in the canoe at an oar position. He has waterskins next to him to stay hydrated.
