I know.. loving the sword, but going to have to add it manually, can't find it in my inventory.
So went ahead and bought the DMG since I may want something else out of it someday. I must say that digital copies should be half price of paper copies of any book... I mean, there really is no overhead, but I digress)
Leveled up to 4, chose to raise my constitution by 2 points, wanted a feat, but couldn't figure out how to get anything other than grappler??? I own the DMG now and the PHB, so confused about that.
@Nontyper: Grappler is the only feat in free "Basic Rules," so if that's the only one you see, that means it's not including the PHB feats for some reason.
There are definitely more feats in the PHB, some of them good (e.g. Sentinel might be good for Kileprat. Sharpshooter good for an archer etc.). So we should figure out why you can't see them if you have the PHB. May need to log out and log in, or toggle something on the home tab of your character builder for Kileprat, dunno. All that being said, bumping CON is never bad for barbarians of course.
But there are many more books with feats. The ones with the most and best are Xanathar's Guide to Everything (where Aino is getting Elven Accuracy) and Tasha's Cauldron of Everything (where Casey is getting Fey Touched). They used to have a bundle which would group those two books with the PHB and the Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide, and they'd discount the bundle if you already owned some of the books. But I don't know if they still sell the bundle. But maybe with @Tesservett sharing their content, you'll be able to see them without buying anything further? And of course there are other sourcebooks with more feats, subclasses, spells etc. - for example, Aino got Silvery Barbs from the Strixhaven book. But you might not need those.
Never got a chance to get my computer set back up today so let's do this from the phone.
After a night of rest and relaxation you awake feeling great, as though you too a week off to recover. Meeting up in the common room Sorath is waiting.
Good Morning all, today's round is a bit different. More then a simple fight to the death, you will be competing against Honda and his team I'm a ring fight.
As you might know in a ring fight if you fall off the stang you lose. And in today's case it will also be the end of you as the area around the stage will be acid or so I'm told.
You cam also lose if your knocked out. Simply put if you can no longer continue fighting your done. I'm am also told your team can attempt to rescue you but they will have to move quickly as Honda is known for tossing unconscious victims off the stage.
Last you will loose if your pinned. Or held on your back for a three count with your shoulders pinned to the ground.
Good luck today I'm rooting for yall. Honda is a bit of an jerk. Plus he won't pay me the money he owes me.
While Sorath is explaining the fight he is leading you to the ready room. As you approach the Arena you hear the familiar roar of the crowd. There is also a sour oder in the air that makes you a bit uncomfortable for a moment before it passes.
You quickly make your way to the ready room.
Ok your next, please make any last minute preparations and ask any questions you have.
Casey casts enhance ability bulls strength on Storm, and then right before the battle starts, performs a song called “Eye of the Tiger” on her magical Bandore (Performance check 22 in log) granting bardic inspiration to her friends (and hopefully revving up the crowds), finally she casts shillelagh on her club and with a nod to Sorath, enters the fight, staying near Kileprat and Storm for protection.
Aino starts her bladesong with a bonus action just before the contest. Benefits (already customized on character sheet) are: * +5 bonus to AC (increases from 18 to 23... not that AC will matter for grapples, unfortunately!). * Speed increases by 10' to 40' * Advantage on Acrobatics checks * +5 bonus to CON saves made to maintain concentration on spells (Lasts 10 rounds).
As an action, Aino also casts and concentrates on Enhance Ability, giving CaseyCat's Grace: * Advantage on all DEX (including Acrobatics checks) * No damage from falling 20' or less if not incapacitated
(Counting on Kileprat to already have advantage on Athletics from rage, and Storm to have advantage from Casey'sEnhance Ability).
"Eww... Probably a bunch of big, sweaty, smelly guys... Just great." Aino wrinkles her nose in distaste as she draws her Rapier, +1. Thumbtack gives a mild "ooh hooh" from her shoulder before taking to the air.
I shared my books with you all so you should be able to see things. I don’t own everything but a fair bit.

(OOC: Hope you are doing ok, @Bushawk!)
Also, I edited post 284 to reflect that for the free uncommon magic item of her choice, Aino took a Stone of Good Luck (Luckstone) instead of the Broom of Flying. This is in addition to the Cloak of Protection she bought with gold. Saving the rest of her gold unless someone needs some.

(Good choices! Hope alls ok with the storm, we got some rain and wind where I am, but nothing bad).
Awesome. I was able to choose the sentinel feat. Thank you.
Great feat for this game!
Agree - hit and run might be harder against Kileprat now, especially with that sword.

Yep just got back from my vacation. Thanks for the check in. If everyone else is ready will kick off the next round tomorrow.
Some details on the mechanics of this round.
To win you will need to knock out, ring out, or pin each of your opponents. You will lose if each of you receives the same.
Pinning: you or your opponent is prone. You then will do 3 contested athletes checks best 2 of 3 wins.
Shooting for a sumo/WWE type feel this round.
Till tomorrow thanks for sticking around.
Awesome! Should be interesting for a dex-based bard :)
Ha - same for a dex-based bladesinger, but I think your Bardic Inspiration and Enhance Ability may shine here.
Do we know in advance what "knock out" or "ring out" means (probably showing my ignorance here)? I think I get pinning per the explanation.

Im assuming knock out is rendering them unconscious and I am hoping ring out is an Athletics check.
Knock out is, knock king them unconscious. Ring out is physically removing them from the platform you will be on.
Hope everyone is doing well. On my phone ATM when I get a chance to sit at a computer I'll kick us off.
Never got a chance to get my computer set back up today so let's do this from the phone.

"Stick together and at the very least they cant push us all out at the same time."
With that Storm readies his sword and shield.
