Periheed staggers for a moment and appears incredibly battered. Blood leaks from his nose and his skin stings. His mohawked head lift as Periheed's eyes begin to glow a deep red locking straight onto the chest of the dual-wielding monster bearing down upon him. The chain mail of blademaster glows the same red hue and the sound of searing flesh begins to get louder.
While never looking away from the center of the attacker's chest, Periheed's face and limbs elongate as he bends to land on all fours. His skin erupts in jet black fur and the clothes he wears seem to fold within him. He lets out a soul-piercing howl as his red eyes continue to stare through his opponent.

The second hellhound inhales deeply, drawing breath to unleash another devastating blast of flame against the assembled heroes, but an arrow through the eye cuts its efforts short. The body twitches in the road, fire billowing out of its nostrils, as Dario's shot strikes true. Dopp disembowels one of the hobgoblins
The bladebearer grimaces in pain as his armor begins to glow red hot, but he continues to strike at the shapeshifted halfling, twin blades harrowing the air before him.
The cleric continues to approach cautiously, chanting in his guttural tongue. He extends his outstretched hand towards Dario, and abruptly closes the fingers into a fist. A creeping tightness materializes in the ranger's chest, as he struggles to maintain control over his stiffening limbs.
Grunting in rage at the loss of his companion, the hobgoblin ambusher slashes his longsword furiously at Dopp, seeking to cut the diminutive berserker down. Two more shots are loosed by the reavers in the trees, one targeting Farryn, the other the dire wolf.
Bladebearer has advantage on the first attack from Guiding Bolt, but that is cancelled by the disadvantage imposed by Heat Metal. Periheed's AC as a Dire Wolf is 14. If struck, he'll need to roll concentration to maintain Heat Metal.
Shaking off a momentary shortness of breath, Dario focuses his attention on the Cleric. He quickly checks the wind and fires two arrows it its direction.
Dario takes a bonus action to change the target of Hunter's Mark to the Hobgoblin Cleric & attacks it twice with his bow.

Dopp leaps directly into the trench he dug into the dead Hobgoblin. He aims his leap so that he drenches himself in its innards and splashes what he can outwards towards the remaining one, as if he were a small child in a rain puddle pranking his friend. Periheed roars as the blades drag across his bestial forelimbs and his eyes aim to maintain focus on the target. Redoubling his efforts, the hair along the spine and top of Periwolf's head stands on end and his eyes darken in hue. The scent of charred flesh is once again wafting through the air as every individual link begins to glow. Never breaking focus as if burning a hole through the bladebearer with his eyes, Periheed lunges forward and snaps at the bladebearer's outstretched arm.

Another hobgoblin screams in anguish as he is immolated by Farryn's spell. Dario's first shot sails wide, but his second bursts through the chain mail links of the cleric's armor. "Maabet!"he exclaims, blood oozing from the grievous gut wound. As soon as he glances up, an crackling ray streaks forth and strikes him with tremendous force, blood coming down in scarlet rivulets from his nose. Dopp sidesteps the hobgoblin's next blow, slicing into his tibia, bringing the warrior to his knees. The gnome rears back for a second blow, burying his battleax in the raider's clavicle, ending his life. A spray of blood anoints the berserker.
The cleric rises to his full height, however, drawing his mace and approaching Farryn. As he nears the elf, he gestures in a slashing motion with his free hand at Dario, conjuring a ghostly plane of force, vaguely resembling a spiked flail. The priest of the Dar swings his mace with an arcing crash towards Farryn, as the spectral bludgeon echoes his movements against the half-orc.
The bladebearer remains standing, smoke rising from his body as the blistering chainmail continues to sear his flesh. Though the dire wolf successfully bites his thigh, it fails to drag him to the ground. Undeterred, the bladebearer swipes his shortswords in opposite directions, seeking to catch Periheed's forepaw between the blades like a pair of colossal shears.
The last remaining archer takes aim at Dario, seeking to prevent him from providing continued covering fire.
Cleric: moves into melee. Bonus action, casts Spiritual Weapon vs Dario.
8 for 9 force damage if it connects.
Cleric standard action, attack with mace vs. Farryn
12 for 3 bludgeoning if it connects.
Bladebearer: 2 attacks on Periheed, disadvantage from Heat Metal.
Dario rolls quickly to avoid the spectral mace & the stray shot, pulling two arrows from his quiver as he recovers into a crouching position. He notches them both at once and lets them fly towards the cleric.
Dario attacks the cleric twice with his bow. Since the Cleric is at reduced HP, Colossus Slayer should apply even if only one of his attacks land.

Periheed yaulps as the blades produce ribbons of blood from his fore limbs. He immediately rears back on his hind legs and the dives forward, eyes remaining fixed on the center of the bladebearer's chest despite the sounds he produced, and lunges forward to snap at the hobgoblins head.

Dario's arrow strikes the cleric in right shoulder, the impact jerking his torso just in time for one of Dopp's axes to come sailing toward him. The blade lodges itself in the priest's cheekbone and jaw, splitting his face horrendously. He falls and is still, while the spectral flail hovering above Dario disappears.
The bladebearer, now maddened beyond all reason as steam rises from his wounds and heat from his armor radiating in waves, screams incoherently and swings both blades at the dire wolf before him.
The last remaining hobgoblin soldier fires a bolt at Farryn, his best target of opportunity. The shot fired, he beats a hasty retreat, the underbrush slowing his advance.

The blood soaked gnome's eyes widen into two tiny white disks in a sea of red. His body tremors as he slowly picks up his axe, his crazed eyes locked on the leader of the ambush. He makes no sound but makes a short running leap to come toe-to-toe and makes two vertical swings with his axe.
The running leap is more color than an actual jump action. I believe I can run my 35ft and make it to him over the difficult terrain. I'm going to run as far SE of him as I can to put as much of me between the last remaining hobgoblin and Periheed.

A pair of arrows whistle through the underbrush. The first nearly catches the hobgoblin unawares, though he ducks and dodges it. The second, however, strikes him in his mouth, opened by surprise. A gurgling noise emerges from his skull as he clutches in vain at the shaft, the arrowhead piercing through the back of his neck. His body slumps and slides down the berm, landing in the road and kicking up a cloud of dust. As it settles, quiet falls over the shallow dell, the bodies, and the abandoned farmhouse. The only sounds are Dopp's maniacal panting and the sizzle of the bladebearer's cooling chainmail.
