Hammerdasher One (H1), the unarmed Hammerdasher, grabs at Hammerdasher Two (H2), the one with the short sword. H2 twists quickly and slips out of the attempted grapple.
The Hammerdasher without the sword (H1) takes a sharp slash across his shoulder. He blinks for a moment, looking like he's going to roar with rage, but then his eyes lose their focus and he collapses to the ground, smacking his head hard.
The standing Hammerdasher (H2) looks at Marrin and shakes his head.
"I'm not putting this down until I'm sure whatever that thing is, is dead."
Jan, Marrin and Avaria hear the floor boards creak above, a few loud dwarven voices, a loud belch, some laughter, and then Ula makes her way down the stairs in a flannel nightgown.
"What's all the -" She stops mid-sentence and stops moving at the entrance to your hallway looking from Hammerdasher to Hammerdasher. "Who?"
A bleary-eyed Ethel hobbles out of her room and into the maelstrom.
Seeing one Hammerdasher down, bleeding and unconscious, and another standing, still brandishing a sword, she does some calculations.
If the downed one were magically impersonating Hammerdasher, via a Polymorph or spell like Disguise Self, it would have failed when he/she/it lost consciousness. And if it were something created entirely of illusion, it should have vanished. But what of Dopplegangers? Do they retain their disguised form when rendered unconscious? And it is truly unconscious?
Ruling she doesn't know enough to decide for certain, she plays it cautious. She raises her walking stick and casts web into the room. Her goal is to catch both Hammerdashers in the effect. Ideally she will catch as few of her allies as possible, but for now it is important to restrain both of them and that trumps any accidental ally seizing. Both must make a DEX dave DC 15 or be restrained.

The web securely traps the downed Hammerdasher (H1) but the other one steps back and angles their body slightly, avoiding the sticky strands. H2 is free.
Ethel bristles in irritation. "Hammerdasher - if you are the real Hammerdasher - then sheath your weapon and lie down in those webs until we sort this out. The more you resist, the more you give us cause to doubt your intentions."
"... And sorry about the webbing, Avaria."

Avaria looks over at Ethel as she gets completely stuck within the webbing and growls a bit.
She looks back at H2 and says to her friends, "When asked who I killed in our first arena, this one knew it was a gnome, the other," nodding at the unconscious one, "knew his name was Jaroo."
She shifts into her more wolf-like form, her tail trying to grow out, but getting stuck in the webbing as well. She sniffs.... first at H2, then at H1, trying to determine if one smells more like the Hammerdasher she knows.
Avaria is pretty sure the two Hammerdashers smell different but neither smells like the funky sweaty Hammerdasher of the caves and arena. A bath has done him / them wonders.
But while she’s leaning in to try and smell the two she smells something else; something acrid and oily. If she had to bet on it, she’d say it’s coming from an oily substance on the blade of H2.

"Stay out of sight, we'll make introductions in the morning.", Jan warns her familiar and gets up from the bed and opens her door.

Jan sees two Hammerdasher's squared off against each other, with Avaria looking at the two of them.
One Hammerdasher (H2) swings a short sword at the other Hammerdasher (H1) then shouts at Avaria and Jan.

Marrin's up.
Marrin scrambles out of bed and grabs her flute before stumbling out to see what is going on.
"What in the...?"
She looks between the standing and the downed before she says,
"I just want to get some rest you idiot!"
Cutting words: 2 minus from save
"I think it would be for the best if you dropped that sword and told us who you are and why you're here."
She suggests to the standing Hammerdasher.
((DC 15 wisdom save))
The standing Hammerdasher (H2) looks at Marrin and shakes his head.
"I'm not putting this down until I'm sure whatever that thing is, is dead."

She turns her head and shouts back upstairs.
"Mum, dad. You better get down here."

Avaria and Ethel are up.
((So Marrin feels that the spell doesn't catch? I.e. no concentration started.
Marrin is wearing a night gown and doesn't have either her armor nor weapons with her.))
"Then step back and let us find out who this is and what they want."
(Marrin doesn't get any sense that the suggestion took any affect on H2. H2 didn't make any move to putting their sword down.)

Avaria - Needs to make a DEX Save on the web as she came out of her room into the hall, which is right where H1 and H2 were.
I'd say Jan and Marrin had stayed in their doorways, and Ula stopped at the end of the hall, so they're all outside of the 20' cube of web.
H1 - Fail
H2 - 16
