Jan and Marrin hit the same beam but over where Mak'ral was standing. The floor begins to creak and Mak'ral only just manages to step to the side to avoid falling through as another large chunk of floor crashes to the room below.
Rather than shout at them again, Jan and Marrin notice that Mak'ral is silent and now wearing the jet black helmet he was wearing earlier.
The timbers in the floor above creak loudly.
Soren and Ula eye the floor and walls and start making their way towards the entrance.
Avaria can't see much in the woods but she could swear now that she hears voices.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The creaking in the timber increases and those inside can see the beam beginning to split down the middle. Then suddenly the entire floor above collapses down. Timber and stone continue to tumble down.
Soren and Ula, already near the doorway manage to dive outside, and land in a heap a few steps above Avaria.
Jan and Marrin, who needed to remain inside to deal the damage at least had the sense to do so at the edges of the room just in case something like this happened. But there's a lot of falling debris, and the ceiling to the next floor up breaks apart and begins to fall down as well.
(DC 10 Dex Save - 12 bludgeoning from falling debris on fail, half on success )
[Also, did Ethel get a look at that black helmet? Any chance she could get a guess as to what sort of nasty surprise this might be? Arcana: 25]

Everyone in the tower is firmly focused on avoiding falling debris and getting a hold of Mak'ral. Ethel can't tell much about the helmet, but from the workmanship she'd be comfortable betting her life that there's strong magic involved. She's familiar with the more common magical helmets that provide a level of telepathy but she suspects that the full front is designed specifically to limit what the wearer can see. She suspects that's to make it easier for the wearer to concentrate; perhaps concentrate on an image that's easier to hold in their mind when they can't see anything else - a place perhaps.
Avaria, on the outside of the tower, with only zombies to worry about, on the other hand notice something very wrong with the tower. It's beginning to bulge around the middle. She's sure it's about to collapse.
At that moment, the trees on the other side of the clearing part and Geffroi and Hammerdasher, perched upon the 'shoulders' of a tall familiar looking treant emerge.
Avaria looks from one thing to the other, relieved to see reinforcements arrive, but panic for her friends. Still leaning against said tower, she shouts to the inside, "Get out!! The tower is about to collapse!!"
Marrin tosses out her mockery but has know idea if it left a mark or not.
Jan and Marrin (and am assuming Ethel too unless she decides to stay inside) crowd out onto the top of the stairs with Ula and Soren, with Avaria a few steps below.
Looking up, they can see what Avaria's warning was about. They can see the tower beginning to buckle.
Down the steps everyone can see the eight zombies, and the two rotting trees (equally placed on either side with a narrow gap between them at the bottom of the stairs).
Geffroi waves to the group from QuietWalnut's shoulder.
"What on earth have you lasses been up to?" Hammerdasher shouts when he sees the tower. "Run. And run quickly. That's coming down."
Seeing that her friends have emerged from the tower, Avaria points to the narrow gap between the zombies. "Hold your breath and run, I'll bring up the rear and try and knock down anything that attacks you. Go!!"
The zombies and rotting trees are still motionless, but they do appear to be watching you. And there's still no sign of Mak'ral. Hammerdasher, Geffroi, and QuietWalnut are visible on the other side of the clearing, though from here you can't tell whether or not they have lost the trees, zombees and what not that were chasing them earlier.
((How far to the bottom of the steps and how narrow a gap? Sounds like one might incur multiple attacks of opportunity trying to move through? Would 30 ft movement get past them, or just into the thick of them?))

Marrin shifts to avoid the majority of the debris and takes the rest with a glare up at Mak, willing him to fall on his head.
"Not even going to see my boot to your gut coming with that stupid mask on."
Marrin snides.

Marrin will move to the door, and out if she can, yelling to Mak,
"Good thing you have a blindfold, best not to see the end coming!"
She mocks, knowing he will almost certainly ignore her despite how vicious it is.

"Lost a crossbow, a borrowed crossbow to that jerk."
She finds the zombie with the arrow in it's head, and says to it,
"And you just played along with it!"
