Oh, and you should know, I'm the kind of absolutely evil DM that makes sure that you subtract a ration every single day on the road. Crazy, right?
We going grocery shopping, lads!
Leo agrees!
Hey DM, when we go shopping, could you just post a list of available items at the store(s) along with their price (along with the gold we'd get by selling Items that we have that we won't want)?
the lamp casts bright light in a 15 foot radius, and dim light for an extra 30 feet. It burns for 6 hours on one pint of oil.
the lantern is like the lamp but casts bright light in a 30 foot radius, and you can lower the hood reducing the light to dim in a 5 foot radius.
Leo turns to his party "Aye, how good are ye guys at seeing in the dark" (OOC meaning darkvision)
“My master was wild, but in times gone by he was close to those who came to be unseasonable, and instead an element and shadow. It’s why he feels strongly for a new seasonal court rising, and why he invited the former owner of my ring to his coronation. I see in the dark as well as any dwarf or goblin, by necessity.”
(Norr votes for the New basin).

Before they leave the scribes company, Brix confirms the location of the library so the.group knows how long they'll be on the road.
(How long will it take us?)
**This Space for Rent**
How much do those cost?
You can safely assume that, after looking at a map, it should take you about 2 days travel to arrive to new basin.

Norr heads straight for the spellbooks. (What spells do they contain?)
He also sets asides 1 gold pieces for a bag of caltrops.
No spells, just blank, empty spells. Besides, you're not a wizard; the spellbooks will hardly help you now, will they?

(I buy a gold piece’s worth of rations with my other gold piece, and now am completely broke.)
