Soren wishes for a moment that he had retained his power to Wild Shape one more time so that he could transform into a tiny beast, perhaps a spider, and crawl under the door to investigate. But then he still might have no way to get Ireena out... unless the door is locked from the inside and she is bound and cannot unlock it on her own. In any case it is a moot point, as he has used his last Wild Shape on summoning Nettle, who is too large to fit through cracks. Unfortunately, the druid sees no immediate prospect for an hour's rest to restore his primal abilities, so...
Kneeling near Zefla, Soren whispers through the door "Thump the wall again twice if that is Ireena in there." But he thinks he already knows the answer.
To his companions, he ventures: "Before Burr bashes through the door or attacks it with his weapons, could one of you who knows of such things check if it is warded with any arcane protection? Perhaps not-Father or Lady Bauer? If Zefla cannot unlock it, I fear they very much do not want it opened."
If anyone volunteers to investigate, Soren briefly switches Silvanus'Guidance to them. Regardless, once Burr is ready, Guidance goes back to him.
Nettle continues to watch and listen for anyone approaching. Keen Hearing and Sight give the owl a Passive Perception of 18.
Giles shakes his head saying “Alas, Soren, I cannot. I do not have such magic. I do however…”He reaches into his pack, pulling out a crowbar, “Have a different kind of lock pick. One that might help good Burr here open this door.” He puts the crowbar under any light underneath or at the sides to give leverage and give help to Burr to try and open the door, or the prying part against the lock as they plan to force it. “I’m also holding up concentration to keep us silent, so hopefully this will be quieter than normal and won’t be heard downstairs. I hope.” He gives Burr a nod and applies pressure, hopefully helping his attempt.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Feeling a sense of urgency, seeing Burr having difficulty with the door, Giles says to him “Gimme that crowbar. You’re doing it wrong.” He puts it in place near the lock, at the door jamb in a spot that appears to have leverage. Speaking out of the side of his mouth quickly, he says “I’ve had some …ugh.. experience, getting into some .. doors where I wasn’t …. Allowed!” He uses his telekinetic mage hand to give the door a good shove as he’s applying the crowbar, leaning into it, and he attempts to force open the door.

Burrgives the door all he's got with the crowbar. There is a crunch and some of the wood splinters, but somehow the door (which unlike the lock, doesn't appear to be unusually sturdy) refuses to yield.
Stepping in, Father Giles takes the bar and, under the glowering eyes of Burr, he separates the door from its hinges. With a crack, the door falls away from the wall and down to the floor.
The party braces themselves for any reaction from the rest of the house, but there is no immediate response. If anything, it seems like the noise outside has increased, with dogs barking and people's voices raised in shouts and screams.
On the narrow bed in the room lies the bound form of Ireena. She is still in her armor, but she is bound at both the wrists and ankles, and a shirt has been tied around her neck and mouth, muffling her voice. Her eyes are locked on the door, a look of surprise and then relief as she sees you all. She tries to sit up and pushes her bound hands toward you in the universal sign for 'untie me right frakking now!'
Around the room, any who don't immediately rush to Ireena's side notice... the dolls. Dolls everywhere. This room is full of pretty little dolls with powder-white skin and auburn hair, some of them dressed beautifully, others plainly. Some of the dolls fill a long bookshelf, and others are arranged in neat rows on wall-mounted shelves. Still others are piled beside the bed and atop a heavy wooden chest. What’s most odd is that all of the dolls, apart from their clothing, look the same. They all look like Ireena Kolyana. Other than the chest and the bed, the only other pieces of furniture is a small wooden chair. There are also a half dozen empty bottles of wine, Purple Grapemash no. 3, left lying on the floor by the chair and under the bed.

Burr was deeply disconcerted by the dolls as well but chose not to comment.....not just a demon arm but the big man was cracked in the head as well....good to know.
Off her reaction to Lady Bauer, " Better the devil you know....This is Lady Bauer. Can you walk? Let's move."
He moved back out of the room, " Any other prisoners here?"
Both Soren and Nettle stand, jaw open and blinking slowly in surprise as the door breaks open to reveal Ireena and the forest of Ireena-dolls. As Giles unbinds the noblewoman, the sylvan half-elf's mind struggles to understand what Izek's purpose could be. Is he perhaps practicing picking her out from the camouflage of a sea of dolls that look like her? But none of them are her size. Or bound up for that matter.
At Ireena's exclamation regarding 'a devil', Soren ventures: "No.. even in Neverwinter Wood, far from the city, we knew of tieflings. They are not devils, despite blood traces of distant ancestry. In fact, I believe it is Lady Wachter in this town who we found to consort with fiends. Yes, as Burr says, Ireena Kolyana, this is Lady Tourmaline Bauer..." Soren barely catches himself before describing Lady Bauer as she of the voracious appetite for meat.
Recovering his equilibrium from the memory of that first meal in Daggerford with some difficulty, the druid splutters, then continues. "Just as you were our traveling companion and fought at our side, Ireena, so too did Lady Bauer in our world prior to the mists, and we know we can trust..."
Once again, Soren trails off, realizing that he does not really know for certain that Lady Bauer is trustworthy. After all, she did not help at first against that first pack of goblins, and seemed steeped in mystery and city-born spycraft... Nettle rolls her eyes and goes back to preening herself.
Realizing there is no point in mentally chasing his own tail now that both women are freed, Soren breathes deeply. "Do you know if Saskia is here, Ireena? Or any of the children from the Cathedral? Otherwise, it is time to depart this hostile territory as soon as possible while the Baron and Izek are distracted by the mob. They lead the pack of guards here, and there is no point in fighting all of them, many of them likely decent men and women."
After freed and as they are talking, Giles opens his pack and brings out a disguise kit and begins work, quickly and with a skilled hand that has done this before. “Just a moment while I make .. you… less … recognizable!” He continues to work, speedily, first of Ireena, then if she would allow, on Lady Bauer. Seeking to make them look more “generic”, taking away any distinguishing features.
As he’s working, he listens to Soren ask his questions. “Unless they are very close by, I think we should flee this place. We must get both of you to safety. What did happen at the cathedral, Ireena?” His hands working vigorously all the time, attempting to disguise the both of them as much as he can.

Ireena shakes her head, looking concerned. "Saskia? No... at least I do not think she is here. I haven't seen her. Truthfully, I remain unclear about where here is." Looking at Giles, she shakes her head again. "It was awful. I was resting in the back, when people inside the cathedral began screaming. I emerged to find a half-dozen vampire spawn... Gods, it was a nightmare. I drew more sword and did what I could to defend the people. They were wild, like animals, the vampires."
She puts a hand to her side, where she seems to be protecting a wound. The armor there is brown with dried blood. "When the guards arrived, I thought it was to help. But this deformed one seized me and brought me back here instead."
As Gilesis finishing his disguises, a voice calls out from the hallway behind you. "Halt. What do you think you are doing inside my home? Answer now, or the guards shall be the least of your worries." The words are stern, but there is fear in the voice.
Looking back down the hall, it appears to be empty... there is no one there; no source for the voice.
