"Scout ahead? You're a stranger in a strange land. Do you know where to go," Adruus asks Glyph with a skeptically cocked eyebrow. "We stick together I think," he adds with a nod.
Moving to the checkpoint the party is 'read' by a diviner, a divination wizard, surrounded by other robed figures. Surprisingly no one in a official capacity seems to be brandishing weapons of any kind. The party is held momentarily as they check papers Adruus produces. Looking critically at them and then at Maitland. It takes a few minutes but soon the party is waved through.
"May Aten's light purify them," the diviner offers motioning to Maitland's lifeless body with it's shallow breathes as Adruus nods.
The party then quickly moves through the checkpoint to the exit. It's alive with humanoid creatures but very few humans it seems. It looks like market day as peddlers push hard carts full if their wares and the various smells of spices fill the air.
"A cart yes," Adruus says to the party. "Someone procure it," he says to Jada, Firebrand, or Glyph. "Ophelia how long does this spell last," the monk then asks as the magic disc holding Maitland up begins to flicker out of existence!

Glyph suddenly realizes the lack of wisdom in his previous statement, but, then again, he's never been accused of being particularly wise. "Probably a good idea, Arduus. I'd hate to get lost . . . here."
He surveys the masses, simultaneously fascinated and put off by their sudden transition from (relatively) peaceful, underpopulated airship to bustling metropolis. He was just about to volunteer to look for a cart, when he notices the floating disc begin to flicker. With a flash of gold, he tumbles over to try to prevent the stretcher from falling.

Ophelia quirks an eyebrow as the disk begins to flicker. "Odd. That spell is meant to last a full hour. Has it already been so long?" She consults a small, weathered leather journal. "I can recast the spell, although it will take me 10 minutes to do so. If a cart is readily available, that may be the more practical option. I'll cast it again, just so that we have something to support the professor while we arrange transportation." She begins casting Tenser's floating disk again.
OOC: Yes, the hour has nearly elapsed with disembarking, the elevator ride, and awaiting what's essentially passport control. Lolz! So, with the diviner thankfully whatever papers Adruus provided none of you were deemed shady enough to probe *wink* further with the diviner surface thoughts scan of each of you. For laughs what's everyone's PCs surface thoughts?
"Yes, nearly an hour," Adruus explains having looked to the heavens at the two moons and sun to tell the time before nodding at Ophelia. "They will bring the chart swiftly," he adds.
OOC so not to waste a spell slot I'll say their's a good 10 minutes left. Glyph the disc is magical, how are you steadying it?
Firebrand and Jada are surprised the peddlers instantly offers his own cart for their use.
"I think," the wizened old gnoll ponders a moment, "10 gold pieces now and if you return it I will give you four back," he says in a gruff voice.

Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
(Firebrand can cover the cost, or we can split it 50-50 and give him 5 gold pieces. Also... remind me to roll in the game log from now on... my original Perception roll was 18 and I didn't touch the post after that. I have no idea why the forum keep doing this.)
(OOC: I just thought the disc was going to disappear so I was trying to catch the stretcher before it fell, will post an update later! At work, yikes!)

OOC Mister I will take it on faith you originally rolled 18, the site it nutz.
Collectively through passive and active perception the party realizes they have seen maybe a handful but less than 10 humans. The population, even those who are visiting, are primarily humanoid animals and elmental lineage! There might be one or two elves Ophelia has spotted but even Riw stands out amongst the population! The party is drawing attention because of this but no one can be sure it's the only reason why.
Firebrand and Jada bring the cart which the party easily deposits Maitland in the bed. It can sit most of the party but the beast of burden pulling it is no beast but an automaton based with the same crystal technology as the Gazer!
"It's easily enough to command," the old gnoll explains. "You use this dial here to set the speed and the hand brakes just there to stop or easing it will allow you to slow down. Turning this yoke in either direction allows navigation," he adds gesturing at the simple console in the modified cart that loosely resembles a dashboard. "Give it a try," the gnoll says to Jada and Firebrand having pocketed the money.
The cart has some sort of pictographs on the side and as the party looks around all of the signage or banners have the same picture based written language.
Jada or Firebrand give me a general intelligence check to operate the cart.

Jada nods and heads off looking for a cart. He asks a peddler "How do you get a cart? Is there a nearby cart stand where I can procure one?"
"I should probably come with you," Firebrand says to Jada as the warlock breaks off from the group. "Just in case something comes up."
Firebrand follows Jada to the peddler's stand.
"We are also more than willing to pay a fair price for the item in question," the Dragonborn tells the peddler.
